[Q] *LG Optimus Chat* How to backup the ROM and find a better one?

Hello everyone,
I'm totaly lost on this website and after over 4 houres on Internet I cannot find a single place where to get a better ROM than the piece of **** stock one that came with ton of bloatware on my cellphone which I have with the (Telus) provider in Canada. My Android version is 2.2.2 so is it gonna brick my phone if I try to install the Cyanogen's rom or any Android rom more recent than 2.2.2 such as Gingerbread???
I really just wana get ride of the stock bloatware pre-installed on my phone but when I tryed to do so with the (Titanium Backup ★ root) apps, it just resetted my whole phone and I lost everything just by trying to uninstall Blutooth (-_-) then GooglePlay thought my apps where still installed so it wouldn't reinstall until I manage to somehow find a way 2 houres later...

[Q] Backup & Flash my P7500

Hello guys,
well i'm a noob and I'm thinking of flashing 4.0.4 ROM into my P7500 from like a long time, i already downloaded the ROM but i still have some concerns about it,
my question is, is there anyway to backup the whole stock ROM with/out apps and data in case of any errors to return back to, and what do u think about 4.0.4 on 7500 devices in general, any bugs that are not fixed already ?
also is there anything such as ROM unlock? i found a button that says UNLOCK next to the ROM download button
Thanks a lot, hope I will be able to donate some day

Cant get official 4.3 to work right

Hello friends am using the s3 9300 and with the stock Indian 4.3 firmware it lags and freezes a lot I mean even without installing a single app. I tried kitkat roms but the random reboots and other small issues make me use stock as I rely a lot on my phone for my work. Is 4.1.2 stock unrooted a good option to downgrade to or I should go to 4.0.4. I have created a efs backup and my data is on the sdcard please advise a smooth stock daily driver.
Mods please delete or move to qna section I posted this in the wrong section by mistake apologies. ...

[Q] Update Android OS on rooted phone without losing data

Hello guys,
I did some searching before I ended posting but I didn't find anything that I could use to be honest.
If you think that this post should be removed, please do so and PM me the link which I should refer to.
I have a rooted Note 3 Neo SM-N7505 (Norwegian) running on Jellybean V4.3.
I have installed CWM and rooted the phone so I can't download the KitKat update 4.4 (it says your phone has been modified therefore you cannot get the update).
Can you help me figure out how do I upgrade to KitKat without losing any data? It doesn't have to be the stock ROM, I can use a cusrom ROM, but what I want to avoid is reinstalling and reconfiguring all my apps again.
Do I have to fake my device status with Xposed and run the update as if my phone was not rooted?
Do I have to flash the stock 4.4 KitKat for my phone through CWM ? Will that erase my apps and data?
anyone? It can't be so hard!

Sprint Note 3 downgrade from lollipop to Jellybean pls..

Hello guys, I'm really just trying my luck on finding someone who can help me with this (or at least direct me to a thread or something..)
I've got a Sprint Galaxy Note 3 which is currently working with any network except for a couple of things I want addressed:
*I wanna downgrade back to JellyBean bexause there's an app that I need to be working (yes, it's more important to me than getting the latest android features)
*I wanna keep the phone *carrier-unlocked* (I was told that the phone is factory unlocked, and given that the phone has Sprint branding..it always goes on roaming mode just for it to work where I am (Phillipines), and I wanna fix that.)
So, with that being said, I just need help on where to start and what order should I be following to achieve these.. I'll be okay with stock Android JB but I want to use a custom rom as much as possible..
P.S. - I've tried reading the forums, and have been reading the forums.. it's just that I cannot seem to find something that would give me the result I want..
Any help would be much appreciated.. Thanks in advance for those who care to help..

Once your device was upgraded past MJ4 (jellybean) to NAB ( first kitkat based rom ) Knox was installed and as the device was upgraded past KK to OC2 lollipop Knox security follows making it impossible to go back to jellybean.

regarding this process, say I have Lollipop installed, and don't care about tripping knox. Does it still make in impossible to go back to JB?
thanks for the response

Yes it is still impossible to downgrade. When the device is upgraded to kitkat and beyond several changes are made to the bootloader/modem. If you try to downgrade the bootloader/modem to MJ4 you will brick the device.
By tripping Knox all you are really doing is breaking the knox security system ( meaning Knox containerization of data is no longer possible ). What you might be able to do is root your device with a OK2 lollipop with a custom recovery. Then make a BACKUP of your rooted OS ( click on rom flashing basics in my signature for more info). Now you could try to find a jellybean based rom/OS and see if the device will boot up. The worst that can happen is you will soft brick the device ( it boot loops on start up ). To solve this just pull the battery and replace then boot into recovery and flash your backup and then try a different one.
