I have a Z ultra which recently being contact with water due to bad flap...
After removing the back cover n clean it the phone is able to boot up...
But it had this phantom/ghost touch on some spot...
When i put pressure on the lcd,i saw some rainbow color on those phantom touch spot...
It look like something is pressing the screen....
Any idea??

What you should do:
Calm your tits and remove the damaged protector, then put another one on.
But, unless you really love brand names, then don't remove it and have it like you do.

Hi. There is no problem. On US You can order new ASF. It's hard to put on screen and cost is 10 $ but if you want ori ASF its no problem
I removed the plastic film because it's damaged. It's been a hassle to tear it off bit by bit, and I have to remove the residue glue, and I put on glass plate afterwards.
I have been wary about losing Sony logo, but it doesn't matter anymore and I like the plain black look of the front.
I own a Xperia z1 and last night I dropped my phone while I was asleep, then figured out that my tempered glass got cracked but display is safe. However, I didn't remove the broken tempered glass, so this morning I noticed that a small black dot appears in the broken area which is at the bottom of the screen quite close to the back button. I thought that it is some dead pixels, but I am not sure, well in screen test I see missing pixels in white screen. So I took a screenshot but it doesn't show the black dot. I just want to know is it possible that I might have a damaged display?
I repair phones for a living. Sounds like a classic case of LCD damage.

So taking a Screenshot of a damaged screen will not help us to find the dead pixels?
Not sure I understand your question. You see the dead pixels but it doesn't show up on the screenshot? That means that the LCD has been damaged and needs a new display.
I've had this tablet for more than 2 years, and so far I was loving it. But today out of the blue a very thin crack appeared on the screen, no falls no nothing....
It does not mess with the image but it makes it impossible to use because it keeps registering a "touch" along the crack.. How can I tellfore sire if the problem is just the glass or also on the LCD?

Hi.. my Huawei mate 20 pro was water damaged through cracks on glass. after a while using it some green lines started appearing on my screen and after a while the screen went blank even up to now.Surprisingly it seems to be on with incoming calls and other notifications. Before i buy a replacement screen is there a possibility its only the screen or is it a motherboard???? :confused ::crying:
Well, the only way is to open it and see.
If the water went into the board it should be visible, it leaves residue when it dries out, and most times it rusts.
But unless it was put into a bucket of water, I doubt it went so deep inside the phone through a little crack

Yes there were droplets inside when it was opened. The last thing to be on display was some grey and black square like box before it went black. Again!!!! I keep on wondering whether the screen is dead or it might be the motherboard

Hello. I have recently found my old sony xperia Z3 phone from 2014 but its totally wrecked back glass is broken and fell off easily and screen totally wrecked to the point the enternal screen has broken lines and touch screen isnt working at all. I want to try and revive this phone for me to use for hacking purposes like android tampering and just in general having fun. I want a little spice to this phone and there comes my question. I have searched and searched but I never found anyone that sells back glass without any color and is transparent. Does anyone know where I can buy transperant back glass for the sony xperia Z3? and if not I can try doing it by myself scraping off the color and trying not to hit the NFC module but for that please link me to a buyer that sells back glass with no glue strips on the back glass. I need just the back glass with everything but without the glue. thanks in advance
Just do it by yourself - that's what I did.
If you want to make it more neat you may buy the front screen and scratch it. So you got upper & lower blackout covered.
