[Q] USB driver without nvflashing?

Is it possible to install the USB drivers without NVFlashing again??? I have smoother_bean rom installed and everything works just fine, except that when I connect my gtab to my PC it only recognizes it as a APX device with a Yellow triangle with exclamation mark. Thanks for help!
Even out of APX mode you have to use the same drivers that are in the NVflash package. Just connect the tablet up and have it booted up in either the ROM or Recovery and then guide your driver installation to the same folder you used installing the APX drivers. In the ROM you will have to have USB debug turned off for some reason in order to install the generic MTP drivers explained in the DRH tread. Most of my transfers are done in recovery or via USB flash drives. Also I run Ubuntu and not Windows and the drivers are not needed. Last time I ran Windows XP I used those same steps, but couldn't get MTP to work until switch my OS to Ubuntu (Linux).

Thanks Nobe, (I did not want to clutter your ROM threat cause I have seen many complaints about ppl asking simple questions like this and do not really contribute to the development aspect ).... I will try to do this once I get home later tonight and hopefully it will work. will keep updated

Fastboot drivers on ubuntu - virtual machine

Hello XDA.
As im using windows 8.1 I can't flash new kernel to my neo V, because drivers just don't work on 8.1
But I heard they work under ubuntu (and other linux but lets stay with ubuntu as I'm using it on virtual machine [because thats one of my study lessons])
Still having some problems with drivers.
I'm using Vbox by oracle. When I connect phone normally I can see in virtual machine something like SEMC Xperia, but when I enter it to fastboot mode it just shows Unknown device.
Any ideas?
Btw. I installed fastboot and android tools package

[HELP] Xperia Pro not recognized

Hey, I have an Xperia Pro (MK16i) in my hands. It doesn't boot fully, it passes the splash screen, the boot animation and then it gets back to the splash screen and this keeps repeating. I checked whether it boots into Fastboot and flash mode and thankfully enough it does, except it isn't recognized by the PC. I have a Laptop with Win 8.1, Dual-booting with Ubuntu 13.04 and another laptop with Windows 7. I tried everything, drivers, editing the rules file but unfortunately, none of this helped. Also, I have this feeling that USB Debugging is off. It'd be great help if someone replied with any ideas.
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTT, sent from my i9000
Your problem is "bootloop". If you have Ubuntu installed on your PC,download Flashtool for Linux and flash stock ROM into your phone.U don't need drivers.

Flashtool doesn't detect the device.

[SOLVED] P760 Windows 8.1 fastboot won't install driver [CWM flash]

Hey everyone,
so I'm trying to flash CWM again on my p760 after i had to factory reset with the LG tool (since.... i'm dumb and had my cwm backup removed from my card before....... i hate myself), but since Windows 8.1 is a *** i'm just not able to install the omap drivers for fastboot. When i try to search the directory windows just tells me that no drivers where found, when i install them manually i get the USB Connected sound like every second and can't do anything.
I have searched up and down for solutions...but none of them worked.
I'd also tried the Nocturnal drivers (which obviously didn't work but i'm desperate)
I even tried a VM with Windows XP setup, but i can't get the USB to pass trough my 8.1 without having the nonstop USB Connected sound....
Is there any solution? Maybe a linux flash? I've been bashing my head against this problem for hours now and just want my recovery back
ps.: i also installed the Windows Hotfix for fastboot, but to no avail.
I gave up on it. Install windows 7 instead. With windows 8 you can disable signature enforcement and install driver correctly, but not in windows 8.1.

LG Optimus L9 II (LG-D605) unroot & unbrick

Hello,
after a few days I successfully unrooted & unbricked my LG-D605. I read a lot of articles and asked lot of questions and tried a lot of unsuccessfull ways. Here is my successfull solution.
My PC configuration
HP 650 (2,4 GHZ, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB drive)
OS openSUSE 13.2 64bit - software.opensuse.org
Oracle Virtualbox from oracle official repository - www.virtualbox.org
Downloaded Windows 7 home premium EN 32bit (very important - it was unsuccessfull with xp / 8.1 and czech localization xp / 7 / 8.1) - Windows 7 32-bit Home Premium x86 English on techverse.net
LG-D605 preparation - HARD RESET (form off-state Vol- & Power, when prompted Power, when prompted Power), next off
Needed downloads - tested
LG mobile drivers - attachment
LG Flash tool - attachment
ROM in .bin and LGUP_L9II.dll (extracted from kdz file) - file in google drive
Install process
Unpack and install LG mobile drivers
Unpack and install LG Flash Tool without run it
Overwrite file c:\\lg\lgfllashtool\megalock.dll with file megalock.dll in archive lg-flash-tool.zip
Connect phone in download mode (remove battery - connect phone to usb -> hold Vol+ -> insert battery)
After phone detection and installation in PC run Windows Device Manager and set LG device to port COM41
Run LG Flash Tool
Mark checkbox "Manual" and set in Model Config path to LGUP_L9II.dll and *.tot file (archive extracted kdz)
Click on OK
In PortSetting window leave marked only port 1
Click on Right Arrow
If you see in small window Port 1 "Ready", disconnect phone on 5sec and reconnect (if you on virtualbox, remember on reactivation usb port)
Done
hi, other flash metod is turn phone in download mode, and flash the kdz file with KDZ_FW_UPD.exe.
also downgrade or upgrade firmware very easy, open the software, select tipe 3gqtc, mode diag, open te kdz file, conect the phone in download mode and launch software update.
Note: in windows device manager disable lg modem device.
no problem in win xp.
sorry for my english.
I tried this metod but it gets stuck at 54%, jumps to 100 and it gives me a download failed error. What could it be?
Thanks man! It worked for me.
I had a slightly different configuration though...
Host OS: Fedora 21 64bit
Oracle VirtualBox 5.0
Guest OS: Windows 7 Professional EN 64bit with corresponding VirtualBox Additions installed
Installation of LG drivers and Flash Tool went well. But after connecting phone in Download Mode it took long time time install drivers which ultimately ended with fail - "drivers were not successfully installed" in yellow bubble. But the phone was shown in device manager so I continued.
Another thing is that I do not have enabled reactivation on usb port so I quickly pluged it in manually after phone rebooted. It worked too.
Only bad thing is that now I have Android 4.1 and have to upgrade back to 4.4. But this is much better situation than bricked phone so thanks again.
When I click right arrow, nothing is happening
