Hi everyone, new to the forum. With the lack of storage on my Experia z tablet, im having to resort to uninstalling many apps from my device. Ideally I would like to install apps on to my sd card. However I read somewhere online that for this I would have to root the device.
My device is lte version and unlocked to all networks. Originally the device was on vadafone uk. I still would like to have lte functionality. No warranty issues as I bought the device of eBay.

See here: there are two kits to root it (in English language) (I for myself used the "rooted tools version" and it functioned well (there was only a loop during the first or second reboot, I powered the phone of and after starting the phone everything was o.k. and went on with the root kit)):webside: sharp.cheeseus.org/index.php?page=Applications
For changing the language you can use some apps from the play store after rooting, (with the app from sightidea you can change as well without rooting but using adb)
I think your phone is unlocked, if not there is an unlock kit too
Hi,
I used sh06e_root_kit_v026 and usb_driver_SHARP_r8.5. Everything looks ok but I don't know if I can upgrade the system for Kitkat and how to do it.
Hi all,
So I've been S=off for a year or two and have jumped around between ROMs with no issues as far as sprints network is concerned.
I recently switched to T-Mobile (One M8!!) and decided to give my phone to my sis since she lost hers recently. She's on Sprint.
We've been able to register or "activate" the phone online and through the phone. The problem is that calls don't come through. We get getting the "we're sorry you're account couldn't be validated" message. Could it be that my prl is out of date? Do I need to unroot?? Any help is greatly welcomed.

You have to be on a stock ROM to activate the device.

You probably need to flash a stock, sense based ROM to complete activation.
Edit: I see Captain answered just as I did.

Thanks for your help!
Are the stock ROMs available here?

Practically any Sense ROM will work. Just take a look in the development thread and find one to flash. It's highly advised to keep a Sense ROM backup handy in case of future issues. There are things you can do on a Sense ROM that you cannot do on a AOSP ROM like CM.
If you're on the old partition setup you can flash the ROM from this thread:

I am from India and using the HTC One ME Dual Sim.
I tried to root my phone and like a fool flashed the wrong TWRP (recovery) file on my phone.
Now my phone will not factory reset and I am also unable to get OTA updates.
My kind request is if anybody can help me find and flash the official/stock recovery for my HTC One ME Dual Sim so that my phone can return to its original new out of the box condition.
Few details of my phone are as below :

Hello, I would like to update my Bootloader-Unlocked Sony Xperia E5 to the latest firmware (assuming its 37.0.A.2.248) but I cannot find any helpful information online.
I tried using Xperia Companion but it told me that my device is unlocked and I had to get its standard software installed on it to upgrade it, which I could not find any information for.
I saw something on Sony's site about their Flash Tool being able to restore the standard software on a device, but when I tried it out, it would not detect my device (maybe its not supported(tried both system and fastboot)).
Model number: F3311
Android version: 6.0
Android security patch level: "September 5, 2016"
Build number: 37.0.A.2.108
If you need any other information comment down.
