Hello. I am a new entry in this forum. I hope here I will find the answer for this device.
I talk about a Carrefour CT 705 tablet mounting Android 4.0.3 and giving problems of net settings. It is able only to work on dhcp lines, only totally open lines, but it is impossible to create a normal static wifi connection. As I have also an HTC with Android, I found the the phone has parameters for chosing static or dinamic line. This means tha for some distant and unknown reason the Carrefour decided to hide those settings, or better, they locked/eliminated the action for that setting program.
Searching on the net I found that Carrefour inserted into this tablet a bloatware that probably pints to the home...
As I would like to bypass all that kind of rubbish, and would try to install Jelly Bean, here are now my 2 questions:
does anyone on this forum knows about Carrefour tablet CT705 mounting Jelly Bean?
Do you think can be possible with specifics told here?

when i try to update with the zip file through "update&backup), my box rebooting to try flashing but i got a error message: "cant find volume /misc" and update fails.
how can i update my box? i dont have a windows pc in reach

Also the current firmware feels really slow!! I checked CPUZ and the min cpu speed is 100mhz with single core

I know this topic is 4 months old but I just bought this device 2 1/2 months ago and have been doing some testing on it with the custom firmware at freaktab and with the stock firmware. It seems the device is stuck in single core mode and only using a maximum of 1GHz which is why we experience such slow speeds on the device. Wifi is indeed crappy it has 802.11 A/B/G/N except it doesn't support dual band wifi and only has a 2.4GHz radio. the second file is for hardware keyboards http://www.mediafire.com/file/eqjmr585u89cr22/com.apedroid.hwkeyboardhelper.65.apk , I use a Logitech K360 Keyboard and M317 mouse with the device and the keyboard helper is so you can customize the keys on your keyboard in-case android is interpreting the wrong action for the key that was pressed for example the play/pause media button was acting as a home button with the native android settings once I customized the key to be a media play/pause key the key then acted as it should.
If anyone has any ideas on how we can actually enable the kernel for this device to use all 4 cores it would be greatly appreciated. I was able to get the second core turned on using Kernel Aduitor but it only stays on sometimes I was also able to get the device to perform at 1GHz to 1.8GHz by using kernel aduitor's cpu governor options.

Hello everyone, I hope I posted in the right section, a friend of mine bought a Chinese phone full of APK of dubious usefulness, while after the root I deleted some by mistake I have eliminated the necessary (I do not know how many) and I have not thought to do a bkp, now have presented several problems, any apk is not installed (even with adb), some touch keys do not go and even the management sim, I tried to find the firmware but is not found, the device has the name of "m10s" with 4.4.2 and mediatek 6572, I looked for the apk from similar rom but then I do not know how to install them, someone to a solution? If this looks like your phone try:
open settings click on Personal>backup&reset>factory data reset
Do not do anything till it restarts to the lock screen
that will bring back all your stuff.

now the defect
1. gps is instable much , if you try to connect in google map it , connect and after 30 seconds deconnect and stay always in search
2. wifi is deaf , if you stay at 2mt at accespoint you have maxx signal if you move 10 mt you have 1 bar of signal, and if you are at 2 mt of acces point and try to navigate , go very slow
3. sim data always slow , and dont have automatich find net for 4g 5g or 3 g , always i must divine if in place have 4g or 5g and set it
4. photocamera back or front , have quality like 2 mega pixel camera , if i use flash in back , the flash bounce in alluminum part cover and appear in foto a shadow orange (becouse the alluminim is orange colored)
5. not have wirless rechargeble
6. if i close some app and return in desktop appear a circle and stay 3 seconds in wait often i push over the tap but not do nothing
