[Q] Dual boot - long shot question - HTC EVO 3D

Recently acquired an Evo 3D (Sprint CDMA) to replace my HD2 (AT&T GSM). The Evo3D has Android 4.0.3, and Sense 3.6.
Moved my 16gb Class 10 SDHC card from the HD2 to the Evo3D - seems to work fine.
However, I miss my SlimKat rom I had running (in NativeSD mode, dual boot with WM6.5) on the HD2.
The SlimKat files, etc. are all still in place on the SD card.
Is there a SIMPLE way to dual boot the Evo 3D into the already-present SlimKat rom?

Without properly porting, no chance.
Two beer or not two beer, that's the question

hi
i have a htc hero with official latest rom, which custom rom is the best to update to
also what is main diffierence between custom rom and official rom
and please do reply
thanks
Read the threads in this forum, they've listed pros/cons and instructions on how to install as well as what's included in each.
The choices you have are:
- MoDaCo 2.6 (from a happy tradition of about 15 releases since about the start of September)
- Drizzy's Hero ROM (One version released, now unmaintained)
- Drizzy's Hero Blur Port (0.6-r2, maintained by other users on this forum and Drizzy himself now I think, it's a port of the Motorola Blur UI on to the Hero platform)
- Donut ION Port (Plain jain Android Donut build on the Hero)
If you want a good user experience that's an improvement of the HTC Hero builds, definitely without doubt get Modaco 2.6, but if youre into bug tracking, fixing, hacking and development give one of the others a go and help the community I guess.
ok thank you is it really worth going to modaco from offical rom? also will it still be same android os?
thanks
Well, you have to make up your mind yourself, but I'd say absolutely without a doubt.
I'm not sure what HTC Rom you have at the moment, but the original ROM was terrible, just attrocious, and Modaco's ROM (1.5 at the time, I think), was a god send. And its just been getting better even since.
Put Amons Hero recovery image v1.2.3 on, get it to partition your SD card correctly ready for Apps2sd, then get Pauls MCR 2.6 rom on your phone, you wont regret it

[Q] problems with dual sim adapter

i'm currently using
Cyanogen Froyo CM6-Latest (based on MiniCM) - v5.0 Final Release
and it works great, except for one thing:
when i open the STK of the adapter and choose the 2. sim card, it just shows the "loading" icon and nothing happens
on my stock firmware it works perfectly
in the cyanogenmod forums someone wrote:
"I have the same problem, as described above, on my HTC Wildfire. So, I'm still using Sense based ROM with 2.2 and waiting for solution from Cyanogen."
and someone else had these experiences:
"The sense ROMs work - the AOSP and MIUI ROMS don't.
So it would appear as if the issue is with the ASOP ROMs. The Sense ROMs work with no issue, no matter what version of Android they are running on."
(with the HTC Desire GSM)
i dont really know what any of that means, but is there a rom for the x10 mini pro that fulfills these criteria?
what other ROMs are there, so i can maybe just try a few and see if any of them work with the adapter?
has anyone got to work a MagicSim adapter on any x10 mini pro ROM?
thanks in advance
.phil
edit:
ok, i kinda got it to work
im using the 007 menu instead of the STK menu now
but because that did not really work for me
(when i used the method of using the 1# command to directly dial from sim, nothing happend)
i installed an app called "copy to sim card", an when i use it to copy the 001, 002 and 007 contact from my phone to sim, it accepts the command
interesting to know ,if someone has the magic adapter working perfectly..

[Q] All custom ROMs slow?

I have tested several custom roms including LeeDrOiD's , virtuous shooter and flashed all of the different cpu governors (that do not O/C the ROMs) provided.
However all custom roms seem to be noticeably slower than the stock Vodafone Australia one that came on the phone.
Quadrent scores about 1600 on all custom roms that i have tried and about 2100 on the stock Vodafone one - phone is UTMS850 version.
Also most 3D gameloft games are unplayable on the custom roms in 3D mode.
Anyone else having this or have any ideas about what may be causing this?
Thanks
Kris
Quadrant scores are just air, they don't matter anymore. But ive been using custom roms and i can play 3d games with no issues, the problem must be something else? Custom roms for me, feel samey to stock.
But if i compare to cyanogen on my desire, sense roms are slow. Dual core or not.
Sent from my Evo 3D GSM...bring on the AOSP!!!
i know that quadrant scores are iff'ey ... but the roms have also been noticeably slower to use.
... There is no Vodafone stock image for me to create a rom from ... so i have just copied all of the system files from my phone and created my own clockwork flashable zip from that .... 1st time i have done it this way ... will prob end up making my own

[Q] [root] live DMESG & LOGCAT boot animation

I have been using the Live Logcat & Dmesg Boot Animations from Chainfire for awhile now. When I purchased a Verizon HTC Incredible 4G LTE I found that they work when I am using the stock SENSE but not on CM10.1. I never use SENSE and am a loyal CyanogenMod user. They worked fine for me on all previous builds of CyanogenMod from 7 to 9. I think it might have something to do with the Memory situation and have tried various SD Card swaps, storing on Internal vs External and so on but have not had much luck. I think it is something simple but do not have the expertise to figure it out. Also I have tried contacting Chainfire but have not gotten any response. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance... P.S. I use a Verizon HTC Incredible 4G LTE with JB 4.2.2 / CM10.1 / 1.9 OC Infernal Kernel / Rooted / Bootloader Unlocked / S-Off / etc...
