Hello Guys,
Here is the illumination bar fix for non-stock roms. It still has some issues but stable for use. I have plans for creating an option to enable/disable illumination for user convenience, but that'll be in future release

@AGONTUK, THANKS! your fix is working very well, i don't need Illumination Receiver anymore) Great work!
BTW :: why not implement this fix in ROM directly?
Do you think it will work on CM11 as well?

It works like ICS: the bar lights when the screens turns on and when buttons are touched while for notifications there is the small led near front camera

Thanks for the information.
So, I will continue to use the Illumination Reicever app. I prefer that the led bar works only for notifications.
In this way, I'm sorry just for the small led doesn't work, sometimes it's useful.

I've noticed that the phone got a little less responsive while recieving calls after i install this patch, it's doesn't show up the caller id so fast when i used the phone without the patch and sometimes even won't show anything? :\
I'll check it out later tonight again.
PS. even unlocking phone takes a bit longer
Good work anyway!!!

I've asked him the same question a while ago, he wants to keep sources private for now, until he thinks that patch is bugless. I think he said that he wants to implement options in settings for illumination, that's why he's prolonging opening the sources (aside from the fact that he has busy private life, like many of us). Once he thinks patch is perfect, he will probably merge it in AOSX source That's how I understood him

EDIT: More screenshot please. I'm excited to try this for a long time. Is it stable now?
PS. Please make the smooth circle battery mod in your Hybrid rom. That's my favorite one. Why you didn't port that one? T_T
So this will be in comparison to your hybrid packed with eyecandy?
If this ROM can have switch app button assigned with current menu button, and the menu button is transferred to the screen like HTC did, then i'm sold
hansip, this ROM has sooooooo many features... and runs hell smooth as Nova and trebuchet launcher even with Stock launcher .. CRT animations, Reboot to recovery, toggles, and will add many screenshots later..
If I get this Stable then Hybrid is sure history...

I made an update to the app, so it now supports the new notification API's available in Android 4.3
Since this update is only available on SP so far, I figured I'll make a thread here in the SP section for feedback on this.
The new feature is that the light will stop when a notification is removed from the status bar instead of when the screen is turned on.
A new global option to still turn off light when the screen is turned on is also added to make it behave more like before.
The new features are available in app version 3.2
The original thread for the app with more info is over in the Xperia U section.

Added Google Play and Sony Update Center to list of apps that can be notified.

That will most likely not happen since it would require root.
Also it would use a lot more power.
Nice work mate :good: Is it possible to have music beats effect? I mean the LEDs blinking with musical beats. If not in music then at least blinking with cell's ringtone when there is a call?

Xtended NavBar
Xtended NavBar is an Xposed Framework module that adds an extra functionality to the navigation bar.
Swipe from the edges to change to Music player or Quick settings. Swipe back to show the navigation buttons again.
In the donate version you can also show favorite apps.
Playstore | Xposed Repo
Compatibility:
This module was developed for AOSP based roms. Don't expect it to work on heavily modified non AOSP based roms like Sense, Touchwiz.
Should be compatible with some other navigation bar customization modules.
It's recommended to do a nandroid backup if you're using the app for the first time.

I've got SlimRom nand backup too, I'll try it on there.
EDIT: Yeah, doesn't work on that either, I think both are based on CM11 though if that makes a difference. Also, I had changed the choice of navigation bar buttons, would that matter?]
I use menu, home, back and long pressing on back brings up recents.
If it helps, My face unlock also didn't show when I disabled the nav bar, when I enabled it again, back came the face unlock.
In other views...I wish xposed would go on the play store and have integration so your choice of modules could be saved under your google account.
I wish this was open source...
I really would like to use this one!
Very cool, nice job! I'm excited to use this.

I will give it a try.
What about the notifications? Did you theme it?
Oh and for the switch in the settings, I think it is a kind of yellow buttons or something like that on Android L. Otherwise, good job.
Just tested on my Moto X. What's not working:
- Settings Panel partially themed (background is still black, not gray like the image)
- Navigation Bar wasn't themed with the new L buttons.
- Status bar icons weren't themed either.
- Calculator wasn't themed as well.
- Whatsapp isn't themed.
- Everything else seems to have worked just fine, I'll update this post as I find more.
The only difference I'm seeing on my Nexus 5 (Stock 4.4.4) is the blue action bar in Settings and the wallpaper/boot animation.
it seems the app is applying the boot animation without even ticking the checkbox for it from within the app , and even after disabling it / uninstalling the app , i still have the Android L boot animation. this makes me wonder if other system files have been also changed which is quite troublesome since it means it's gonna break any future ota updates and will force me to sideload such updates.
can you add a revert/restore feature , or at least give us some info on what exactly is being changed/overwritten with this app.
thanks

I understand your problems.. I use CyanogenMod, I have themed everything based on the files present in it. I haven't made changes in my code for the Module to continue theming if it doesn't find what it has to on your phone.. I cannot make out which file is causing it! If you can attach your Xposed Logs(Xposed Installer -> Logs -> Menu Button-> Save to SD), it would be great [emoji4]

will this work on stock xperia or its just for AOSP/CM ?
No text characters.
Seems I have lost all text characters when I used the font. Not sure how to troubleshoot considering I can't see anything.

Now it works well! Except that calculator now looks a bit weird (not like before installing this theme, but not like in Android L ), but I don't really mind that. Of course, fix would be welcome .
Project discontinued
Thanks for this app! Light buttons notifications would be awesome a led is the only thing missing on this phone
LightKeys updated to version 1.1 with some improvements. Download link and changelog updated.
Since we are talking about lights.
There is a problem on my device. idk about others but whenever i get a message or a miscall of any other messenger. such as whats app. my touch keys doesn't light up. compare to my screen light up then total black out. it would be great to have my touch keys to light up when receiving a notification as this will help me know that i have a message or a miscall without pressing my power button or home button to see the notification. Is it normal? Any fix? Thanks You.

No, it's not implemented as default, so i'll have to rework the Kernel :/ if that's work on my A5 variant (A500FU) yea, why not I can adapt it.
Anyway, i'll update this app at least once a week. I have a lot of work to do on XDA, work on Cyanogen, BlissPop etc...

Good stuff mygalaxya!
If you can make the LightKeys to fade in and out on notification you're awesome!
If you can make it without root you're even more awesome!

Hi all!
I made an new App, LightKeys, this app allows you to set up how long the capacitive buttons stay light for the duration which you want! You can set the buttons always off and always on. If you want to revert this changes, just click on set as default.
• This app doesn't require root, it's working on almost all devices, any ROM.
I tested it on my A5, version 5.0.2 and on CyanogenMod 5.1.1. Don't hesitate to tell me if that's worked on your device!
I'll work to add more features to this app, like blinking buttons when notifications !
Feel free to report any issue you may encounter. Download link in attachments.

blinking when having notifications would be great. keep up the nice work man,
Using the native access to notifications plus your APP control of the LEDs you can't make the notifications blink?
