Although this is not a new idea, I think this is the first free GPL solution. You can now play your favorite games, using Sixaxis/DualShock3 controller on Android freely. Watch the video at http-://-youtu.be/mwG82zSkvbA
Don't forget to look at the code at https-://-github.com-mcherri/sixaxis-android. Feedback is really appreciated.
Sorry, I am still unable to post links.

Sup ppls,
Remember when the Flyer/View was supposed to have a cool online gaming service, and all we got was an app to view it... Well till 2days ago that's all we had a boring app to view a gaming site, now we have been blessed with the actual gaming app from Onlive... about time. Several smartphones including the EVO3D have been blessed with the ability to play online.
If your looking for more gaming then this is the app to peep out, with more than hundreds of known game titles from Xbox, PS, and Nintendo games plus more for than a hand full to endulge in. The app is free, several free games, free trials (30mins) and purchasing games from 1$ up 59$.. when you purchase a game you'll be able to play it on compatible smartphones, your pc/mac, and tablets via WiFi or internet access.
I played a game or 2, great graphics clear and functionality was smooth.. it does stream nicely over WiFi and not bad over 3G (Sprint View). So go get the app for free in the market, link below with screenshots. You can also invite friends to have multiplayer abilities, so sign up and feel free to add me.. my username? Godzson of course "Game On"

Thanks for the heads up... very cool
FYI not all of the games are touch enabled. Be careful if you are touch (mobile) gaming only. They do have a universal wireless controller but that kind of defeats the point of mobile gaming to me.
Hey guys, if you have the sixaxis app from the google play store you know that it allows you to map your own buttons to the specific area on the screen if you're playing a game that doesn't support native controllers. There is a new site which you can download pre configured button maps, here is a quote from the site:
There is this really great outfit called Dancing Pixel Studios that created this really awesome app called SixAxis Controller which can tether your PS3 controller to an android device (yes, your Playstation 3™ controller to your phone or tablet)! Well, this application uses Profiles which are used for seperate games – it can be difficult to track down profiles or make your own. Well no longer!

There is no subsection for the Xperia S yet, but I think as more people join, a subsection will be created soon
I've tried a few profiles from the Galaxy Nexus section (MC3, Nova 2), but i've needed to tweak it a bit to make it work. Note that the other games don't need profiles because the game recognises the PS3 controller it as a native controller

Someone stole my idea
Sent from my ST25i using xda app-developers app

There is a thread here on XDA as well with exactly the same thing. I have been using a couple of those profiles, namely the MW3 one. Works well. :good:
Hi there!
I bought Final Fantasy III from the play store few month ago and fortunately finally have time to play it in the upcoming holidays. I'm really interested, if it's possible, to play it via controller. At the moment I didn't find a way to manage this, as FF3 seems to be completely touch oriented.
I also bought the app "sixaxis controller", to play emulated games via my PS3 controller on my GT-I9300, this works like a charm and is a great solution. I wish, there was a solution to play FF3 the same way. Unfortunately, it seems to be impossible to create a touch profile for FF3 since the menus etc. are build dynamically.
Did anybody managed it, to play it via controller, preferably PS3?
Thanks in advance!
Hi fellas
I bought this app, a few bucks only -I read you can use it to enable mouse & WASD keys on dock to play games.
Problem is, I cannot for the life of me get this to work. I've read lots of threads here on XDA, other web snippets, no luck. I even emailed the developers, no reply
I'm interested in using my dock and mouse to play FPS games. Can a good samaritan point me to a published guide tutorial, or maybe you have first -hand experience to share ... thanks in advance.
The streamer works great. I paired a sixaxis and ran a game, the only thing that worked is the dpad. I thought most applications should recognize the controller as a standard HID, any idea how to get it to get along with Splashtop?
I don't have much experience with the app and there are numerous different editions and paid extensions for it.

You can use the native Ps3 controler support instead
I have no idea how to help you outside of this, i suggest tinkering with stuffs and if you cant figure it out then perhaps someone who knows can help
Thanks for the reply. I should have clarified that I am using the native support and not the sixaxis app . I am sure the sixaxis app will provide more features but it doesn't seem like an elegant solution considering stock capabilities.
