Hi,
Please try this method, as it should help fix the issue:
1. Uninstall Themer.
2. Delete the /sdcard/MyColorScreen/ folder (removing the Exported folder within it if you saved any themes).
3. Reinstall Themer.
Are you sure that there was a network connection available?

Hi,
There are two ways themes are saved:
1. If you create/edit a theme, then export it, it will be saved in the /sdcard/MyColorScreen/Themer/Exported/zip folder. This folder can be removed and placed back once you've wiped the folder.
2. Downloading a theme. These themes are stored in the /sdcard/MyColorScreen/ThemeCache folder. You can do the same for this folder too.
Hope this helps!

Request for some apps file

Hi guys,
I have recently make a wrong decision with my Gs2. I tried to use Titanium backup to change All Sharing and Social Hub as a User Application. And that result in these apps disappear from my phone. I tired to put the dlna.apk and social-hub.apk back to the "system/app" while nth new come back after a reboot. I think that's because i miss the odex file related to the apps. As I am using Offical Hong Kong Rom KG2, would somebody like to help me by uploading those files [dlna, social hub apk&odex]
Thanks

Thx for your help.
I have tried this list and put those apk in to system/app, yet the program have not come back even after a reboot.....
I use Root Explorer for installing .apk files.
Can you not download Social Hub and DNLA via Samsung Apps?

I got those APKs from the list you have posted.
And install them by using root explorer
My way to install is to move from sdcard to "/system/app"
I even changed the permission of the apks but still they don come back
thanks!

I never move them before installing - just put them on internal SD and install from there. Try it?

Try applications>manage applications>clear cache and maybe clear data for those apps if they are there.
Otherwise I'm out of ideas...

Good luck. Don't suppose you've got a full backup via CWM or you'd have reflashed it, right?

Attached are both apps' apk & odex files.
Hope it helps mate
I don't think you can install system files with root explorer, you need to flash it through recovery. I was having the same problem and flashing worked for me.

You just push them to the /system/app/ folder and reboot - that's all a recovery zip would do.
Thx Guys!!!!
My finally method was reflash the official rom..... that nearlly kill me as i have to reorder the application icon which take me an hour to finish that....
I don know how to use the recovery method but hope this post would help others who face the same problems.
Btw is there any apps to backup the order of icon in Application page? Rearranging them again is damn horrible if u got tons of apps......

[Q]To extract an system built-in app from one rom and install it in another one

Hi,I want to install the Videos app(the stock player) from this rom:http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-I9100&pcode=PTR&os=1&type=1#firmware
the latest version:I9100JHLPC I9100PTRLPD
to my rom:VK--ICS-XWLPO-V5.1.3
1st of all,I need to uninstall the app from my device...How?
2nd How do I extract the app ?
I saw this:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=979199
Thanks.
Sorry...Can you move this thread to Q&A forum?
??
Firtsly root your device.
To uninstall a system app use SystemApp Remover.
To backup/restore a system app use Titanium Backup Pro.
Curious, why do you need to uninstall it from current if your objective is to simply install it on another? To install on another just backup/restore using TB. No need to actually "uninstall" it from previous rom.
Thanks.
My device already rooted.
To remove my current Videos app,I'll use SystemApp Remover.
But how I'll extract the Videos app from her
Code:
I want to do this exchange bacause the Videos app that I want to install has a better support with the kind of subtitles that I use...

Dude, You already have the answer, I tell you how very clearly, stop bumping thread.
Ok...sorry , I misunderstood your penultimate post
I installed Titanium Backup
In the app ,I have the option to uninstall the Videos app,Is it enough or I must to use SystemApp Remover?
In another device,I'll use Titanium Backup to backup the Videos app that I want...
The backup folder(/sdcard/TitaniumBackup/) has 3 files within:
1. .apk.gz
2. .properties
3. .tar.gz
I'll extract the 1st file to my pc and move the VIdeos app to my phone.
Thanks.
When I try to install the Videos app...The message that shows up
Code:
Replace application
This is a system application. Do you
still want to replace it?
All previous user data will be saved.
I press OK and press install when I get 'Do you want to install this application?' message.
In the end,I get 'Application not installed'
What I need to do?
Thanks.
Restore it using Titanium backup PRO. How many times does it need to be said?
I wont be replying again, I'm sick of repeating myself.
I'll strat from the beginning...
I have two SGSII devices:
The 1st running VK--ICS-XWLPO-V5.1.3

I want to remove the Videos app from the 1st one ( and I done that using Titanium Backup) and install the Videos app (that already installed in 2nd device) in the 1st device.
In 2nd device,I backup the Videos app and move the apk file(extracted from /sdcard/TitaniumBackup/.apk.gz) from 2nd device to 1st device.
I try to install it through ES file explorer and I get an error
Code:
'Application not installed'
I try to install it through System apps Installer and I get a message
Code:
¡App installed correctly!
But eventually I don't have the application/
How do I load the the Videos app that I moved to my 1st device using Titanium Backup ?

Move the titanium backup folder to 2nd device sdcard, load up TB, go to preferences and set folder location. Go to batch mode (top right corner of main screen) use restore option. Done.
There is no guarantee that the apk is going to be compatible with 2nd device/rom though.

Ofcourse you have the setting, you're obviously just not looking properly.
Preferences>Backup folder location.
Once you have scanned/selected folder you will see what you have backed up in the batch screen and have option to restore.

The app probably needs more data than just the files, something that tells it to use the files. A setting perhaps? the files should be downloaded trough the app.

I am a language student. I have had to download the offline language pack a whole lot of times but unfortunately for me, I like to flash my phone a lot. I have tried putting the downloaded files directly in the folder but it never works. Are you sure this will do. I am yet to try it. When I get a strong WiFi connection I will do it and see. I just flashed a new ROM
Cool

Hi there.
Yes there is a solution and I know it.
I use it all the time when changing ROMS.
This works but you MUST NOT update for a new version from Google Store.
I explain.
1. On the version you are in of Translate make a backup of the folder you mentioned in your post. Keep that safe somewhere.
***Note: If you upgrade Translate version from Google Store you must delete the old folder and make a new backup.
2. You can make a Translate backup with Titanium Backup of that version as Google Store might change version and you won't notice.
***Please note that recovering the Titanium Backup file alone will not make it work.
3. When you flash a ROM do the following:
a. Recover your backup from Titanium Backup of Translate.
b. Move and replace the COMPLETE folder .com.google.android.apps.translate and obviously delete the other one. [When you replace it just replace the whole folder in Android > Data. What I mean is don't go into the .com.google.android.apps.translate and replace from within the folder as the folder changes structure when a language is downloaded]
c. Reboot into recovery.
d. Wipe ONLY cache and dalvik.
e. Reboot and enjoy Translate.
***This works if you stay on the same variant. For example, from Lollipop based ROM to Lollipop based ROM.
I have the suspicion that if you go from Lollipop to KK, or vice versa, it might not work because of the logs on the .bin file on the folder I mentioned.
I never tried it.
Also as I mentioned, you can then upgrade Translate but don't forget to make a new backup of the folder.
Enjoy!

Hello again,
Firstly look into general / development section for ftfs! Make sure you pick up a generic version according to your phone model!
Secondly , use the guide mentioned by a user above to flash ftf file.
Only backup user apps in titanium back !
Go to titanium ,then options , then clear dalvik! See if that helps!
Also remove thumbnails folder in DCIM from your phone using a file explorer.
You can also use SD maid from Google play store to clear cache / unnecessary files by corpsefinder and systemcleaner in SD maid menu. This will automatically remove thumbnails cache!
Good luck

Grant it to work and please use common sense!
You are about to clear system cache, how would you do that without root or permission !

Either be fine !
Sus will do it officially with latest firmware of your region only while flashtool with give you more control over which ftf to flash/version/components !
My signature means, if you want a guide that's not available or think it could be rewritten, pm me!m in case of a query, just mention/quote me!

I prefered SONY official ROM over the custom ROM because i think Official ROM is more stable than any other custom ROMS. Thanks again for giving me confidence. I am newbie.
