I haven't found an option to change the brightness of the led but try changing the color to something like orange. It will be less brighter.

Our phones don't support adjustable LED brightness, so you're out of luck. LEDs are off/on only, no brightness levels

I recently found an app called "light flow" on the play store there is an option for adjusting led brightness. Try it and see if it works

As the title says. I would like to scale auto brightness so it isn't so bright when using the phone in the dark. I was using an app but you have to turn it on for every reboot.

I have exactly the same problem, but lux autobrightness solves that for me. only problem is that if u want it to auto start, u have to enable it to be in persistent mode, which leaves an icon in your status bar. other than that, i am very pleased with the way it works,
Ya auto lux from the market works the best, i was very skeptical about an app from the market to control brightness but it really works good, the factory auto setup is TERRIBLE.
Try AutoLux it works very good.
Is there a way to remove brightness toggle from notification bar on JB ? Thanks in advance !

It's really strange how people's taste differ
brightness toggle bar from LG jelly bean is something i LOVE, you have no idea how important that brightness bar is for me
i hope you find a way to disable it, try in this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2194423 someone already removed Qslide apps, maybe also that bar.
ask, you have nothing to lose.

I installed an aplication that auto-adjusts brightness based on front camera luminosity information. I don`t need the brightness toggle anymore

Which app are you using and does it have an impact on the battery life?

Lux auto brightness. I didn't noticed any chances on battery consumption.

Google Play Store says "This app is incompatible with your LGE LG-P769."
What would be different between the 760 & 769 regarding this app?
Don't use google play, just download it from an "alternative source"

Hi, what are the two dots beside the front camera in the s3?
One is the proximity sensor to turn off screen during a call and the other is light sensor to detect the intensity of the light of the surroundings and adjust the screen brightness accordingly when set to auto.

I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 that is rooted and is running LiquidSmooth ROM.
I am looking for an app that let's me control my notification LED more.
I'd like to be able to set multiple colours in a pattern for a certain app, for example when I get an email I would like the LED to alternate between blue and white. Is there an app or mod that offers this type of control?
Thanks.

Try Light flow app.
Autobrightness of firmware .438 is a little too dim for me, even set at max.
Do you know which system file control the autobrightness calibration ?
It may be one of the hw configs in /etc/
Try editing those because they determine led brightness and notifacation light brightness
