I have an AT&T LG Optimus G. I installed MIUI 4.4.25. I am using it as my daily driver. So far it is stable enough that I can continue using it, and I like it a lot. Anyway the only problem is that NFC does not work. When I try to turn it on, it stays grayed out. I was wondering if there is an NFC fix specifically for MIUI or will any work?

Hi everyone
I'm new to this forum but i must first give you much credit for what xda-developers community is doing.
I have a problem with my atrix 4g and his led flashlights. They don't work and when i say "don't work" i mean that occasionally (when the sun is up and the moon is high ) they work for a few minutes.
I'm always in batery Performance mode. I'm using stock Gingerbread and my Atrix is from AT&T. I haven't rooted it or unlocked bootloader. When i download any of the suggested flashlight apps from Android market it again doesn't work (or to be specific, sometimes it blinks few times and then it turns out)
Any suggestions? I hope that's not the hardware problem ... i wasjust wondering if any of you guys had such a problem?
Thanks in advance
I'm using the free one from market. It works good (rooted Atrix)
Torch on CM7 works fine for me, before CM I used Droidlight.
Nexus torch
best app on the market for certain phones, very light weight and a widget.
tested and working on atrix
Unfortunatly non of this worked for me. I think my flashlight is broken. No other solutions. Thanks anyway
Hi All,
First posting here so please be gently.
I've stepped into the custom ROM world following the failure of HTC standard ROM to work with the GPS receiver I need to use for RaceChrono for recording race times etc.
So I rooted the phone and installed CM9 unofficial. This allowed me to pair the bluetooth device, but it doesn't appear to be stable using any app on the phone.
GPS keeps getting disabled when using navigation software etc.
So simple question - does anyone know a sure fire working ROM for external bluetooth GPS ?
Thanks in advance.

Maybe try official cyanogen mod 7.2.0 from the official website, after all the struggles I've had with my GPS it seams to be the most stable of every rom I've tried.
I don't get lock 100% of the time (no azimuth or elevation data received sometimes) but this is one I can get working again after it stuffs up without re flashing the rom.

Hey Guys
I think its a general problem, but i have a
LG optimus 4x hd
CM10.2 and iodak kernel
I have a big problem...im using a smartwatch called "im watch" and for full functionality it uses bluetooth tethering to get internet, but every nightly i tryed (using cm10.1 and cm10.2) didnt worked :/
i also tryed other roms and it never worked. (MIUI)
LG didnt implemented in there stock roms, but in my old lg optimus 2x it wasnt implemented, too but using cm9 unofficial i could use it. I activatet it and the "tethering or hotspot active" notification appears in the status bar.
Since cm10 it never worked again. On my 4x it never worked so i think its a cm problem.
It would be awesome if it would work
I can activate bluetooth tethering but the notification never appears. I also cant tether to other Androids.
With a friends htc one it worked very well (Stock Rom) !
Maybe you can help me
(sorry for my english i hope you understand me )
Hello, I am not new to the XDA Forum but this is my first post.
I wanted to thank @houstonn for creating the ASOP Google Android KitKat Rom. I have read the entire thread for this ROM and I did not find any solutions to my problem. On my LG Optimus G E970, I have mainly issues with calling. For example, I can be on a phone call and the phone's ambient light sensor that is used to turn the screen off when the phone is near your ear, will not function properly. My phone's screen continues to come on whether it is up to my ear or not. Moreover, I found the Trickerster Kernel MOD application and I wanted to know if the Mic Gain and Headphone Volume features could be activated and remain activated when the phone is rebooted. Mainly, when I call someone they can barely hear me or I can not hear them and a few times (where I had to restart my phone completely) I would initiate a phone cal and it would say that it is dialing but I do not hear a dial tone at all. So I can not tell whether it is working or not. Finally, it is not a major concern but like using earphones on a phone call doesn't work either. But other than that I am very grateful to @houstonn for putting this all together so quickly and efficiently. Thanks
What carrier and radio are you using?
I'm using an e970 on AT&T with the JB/Mako hybrid radio, and haven't had any of those issues.

I am on AT&T and I didnt flash a radio or anything new all I did is just back up my older setup which was Jelly Bean 4.1.2, then flashed the v3 of houstonn's KitKat Rom, PA Gapps like he said and 1.6.5 of SuperSU
And thank you for replying

Here are some modems if you want to try. Trickster has set on boot unless that is something I got for getting the donate add on.
Has anyone been able to get Android Auto working on this phone? Every time I plug in my phone to my car nothing happens on my phones end but on the cars dashboard it displays the message "This device doesn't support media function" I have the Android Auto app installed and launched and ive tried multiple roms:
Roms Ive Tried:
Jasminerom
Cyanogenmod
Euphoria
Paranoid Android
I have also made sure its set to MTP when connecting via usb and ive toggled USB debugging on and off on all these roms and still the same message!!!
Anyone else experiencing these issues or have been able to get Android Auto to work with vs985?!
Please does anyone have a fix for this?! This is on a 2015 Sonata btw.... Im also using the original usb cable that came with the phone... any help would be appreciated :fingers-crossed:
Edit: Whelp looks like Verizon strikes again... I just found this:
LG G3
"Android Auto is not currently supported in the U.S. on the LG G3 for Verizon Wireless customers. Google is working with LG on compatibility and will announce an update when the issue is resolved."
Verizon Auto incoming. Why else would Big Red cripple a function like that? They don't like completion like Apple so they do all possible to kill it.

Right?! Seriously though this is a huge disappointment... its literally the 1 of 3 phones that doesnt work with it... and it is only transferring data via USB.... someone on XDA must have an idea on how to get this to work properly...
Had this issue on my Note 3. (several diff roms)
Flashed it back to stock. (no root)
Working perfect now.
