i mean ... like app 2 sd .... so my internal memory not so full ...
u do realize you no longer need those apps for most everything... and they have dedicated storage for apps on the internal memory that unless you re allocate the memory you would never be able to use it otherwise. but none the less go to settings /applications then click on the apps you want to move and hit move to sd card
and how to unroot this gtab7plus ?

Hi,
Volume Down button only brings me to "Download Mode", but not Recovery Mode, don't know how to get there.
If I keep Volume Down button and power, this is download mode,
volume up and power does nothing.
EDIT:
Got it... had to keep volume up button pressed along with power and let go as soon as I saw the Samsung Logo...

Thx for the tip (about the volume up)!
All credits go to Scrosler, Nils, MrSmith, and everyone else. I took the Linux version of this tool and modified it to work on Mac OSX. The Linux version did not work for me, so I decided to fix up a Mac version and upload. It also has a special WiFi Tether install script I whipped up.
INSTALL THE MAC OSX ANDROID SDK BEFORE USING THIS!
Here are some links to get you started with the SDK.
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
http://www.talkandroid.com/guides/de.../#.TuaS3lxjgSM
So now that you have the SDK installed...
1) Unzip Cleantool_Mac.zip
2) Open a command window, change directory into your Cleantool_Mac directory
3) Run ./cleantool.sh
Have fun
Cool! Good Job!

Well, you can Temp Root, and then you are given the option to remove some bloat, all bloat, or VZW bloat, and you can also desense

Worked fine for me too!
cant seem to get the command screen to accept my commands. Pretty much a nube when it comes to command screens and code, but if anyone could help lead me in the right direction, i'd appreciate it. I already have sdk installed and the cleantool zip unzipped. Just not sure where to go from here, as everything i've tried on the command screen has come back permission denied, or no such directory. Thanks in advance...
In terminal I get to a Password prompt?
Edit: Nevermind, just hit Enter. Doh!

1. In the Terminal app ( /Applications/Utilities )
type: cd (path to Cleantool_Mac folder - Easiest way to do this is to open a Finder window next to the Terminal window, navigate to the Clean folder in the Finder window and then drag the folder into the Terminal window. Make sure it has a space between the cd and the path.)
Example: cd /Users/username/Desktop/Clean_Mac
Hit Return or Enter
2. At the next prompt: Type: ./cleantool.sh
3. Select the Temp Root option then let it do it's thang and then select the Exit option.
Hope that helps.

Depends on which phone you are talking about.
920e (China Version) you can use DNA's recovery.
920d (International Version/Singapore version?) unlock available but no working recovery.

I have the 920e, DNA recovery DEFINITELY DOES NOT WORK! So far no one has gotten recovery working on 920e. I am in China currently and reading through all the chinese sites people are trying to use TWRP and CMW posted on XDA but no luck.

Sorry if I'm wrong, but I found all those info from google, it seems these people are able to boot into recovery to flash SU
The Chinese sites are very confusing when they are naming the phone. Many sites just call it X920e/Butterfly/DNA but they are acutally 3 different phones.

I've tried all of those and none work. Look at the screenshot for the 1st link, that's a recovery for the Galaxy S2. Hard to trust some of those chinese sites, that's why I come here knowing that the good devs of XDA will figure things out
Had the chance to sneak into China and get a HTC Butterfly (920e variant) there for myself. Full of Chinese crap apps and no Google apps at all
Anyway, unlock (via htcdev) worked fine but that's pretty much where the fun stops so far. Like jlevy73 I tried pretty much everything written anywhere on the interwebz and nothings works. No recovery, no root, no gapps, no play store.

Yep, quite sad.
Off topic, anyone here with the X920e having issues with HTC Sense Weather? I'm in Beijing and the weather is off by about 10F. It's also night but the icon shows the sun. I've cleared data for both weather and HTC Sense but no luck. GPS is working ok though.

u can still flash DNA recovery and gain temp root, just u can't use the full function of recovery. from there you can still install Google Play etc, and remember not to reboot the phone.
I'm wondering if you bought 920e and use it outside of China, will you be able to connect to 3G services? I thought 920e is TD-CDMA instead of WCDMA.

How do you flash gapps if you cannot get into recovery? How do you flash SU without getting into recovery? Perhaps I am missing something obvious.
The 920e is WCDMA only so in China it would be compatible with China Unicom. TD-CDMA is what China Mobile uses. The 920e would be compatible with ATT in the US.

More or less (once more) just confirming / repeating what jlevy73 said:
- How do you gain temp root if the (DNA) recovery doesn't seem to work properly?
- Why not reboot the phone? oO Because of the broken recovery? That is not run in a normal boot up.
- the x920e is made to work with China Unicom exclusive (but interestingly isn't simlocked) in Mainland China and they use WCDMA which works perfectly here in Europe. No 4G chip, though.

It's possible that recovery was installed, we're just not able to access it in the traditional way. I am going to try and adb push superuser into recovery. If that works, then we will have root and can then push google apps into recovery. I am going to give it a go and see what happens.

Trying to make use of it (by trying to boot into recovery from rom manager) fails, though.
On the positive side, pushing the play store worked easily. Full access to the store but still no root

Good to see you made progress. I also have root but still don't have access to the play store. I was able to push the store and it's in my app folder but when I try to open it, it immediately closes.
What adb command did you use to push the play store? I think I might have set the wrong permissions with chmod.
These are the commands I used:
adb push system/app/Phonesky.apk /system/app
adb shell chmod 6755 /system/app/Phonesky.apk

And how did you get root? Ah, figure chmodding su isn't enough and I should also chmod the apk, reading what you did with Phonesky.apk Nope, still no working root
Play Store itself is only one part, you need some of the gapps stuff too. Not sure which, just installed what looked important (GoogleLoginService.apk, GoogleServicesFramework.apk and such). Didn't need to chmod anything gapps related. Oh and use the right version for Android 4.1, not 4.2

Frustration, lost root and after pushing all the google apps, framework, etc still don't have access to play store. Guess I will have to wait until a real recovery is released.

Okay, I was just being stupid, once again: only did chmod 755 on the su binary instead of 6755. Also, the Superuser.apk (like any other apk) doesn't need more privileges than 644.
Now that I have root, I used rom manager (which is the recovery I use), to install gapps completely (did a cherry pick before). Worked perfectly. So the recovery of the DNA is fully working except something with the screen driver is messed up.

Make sure that you must back up the data partition through ADB. Watch the tutorial. If you don't make a backup, it might be hard to go back Tizen.

Thanks for the reply and the help. When I go to command number 2, it says mount is recognized. (see above) Thanks again!

If you can't connect card to GPay this instruction maybe can help you!
We will need
• Root (Magisk)
• Root Explorer
Open root explorer and go to root/data/data/com.google.android.gms
Select this three folders
• app_chimera
• app_cryptauth_external_device_db
• app_dg_cache
Set permissions as on attached screenshot or set octal value to 0444
After it go to
• app_dg_cache
And delete all folders except the oldest one, you can understand which is the oldest one by comparing .apk file in these folders (if there is only one folder, do not delete anything)
Everything is ready! Now you can add your card and use it.
I hope it will help someone.
EDIT: after doing this your phone won't pass SafetyNet checks. If you need SafetyNet set octal of folders to default 0771 (permissions rwxrwx--x), but Google Pay will stop working again.

Thx for sharing.
Works on my k20 pro
Hmm....I don't see google.android.gsm
I see google.android.gms and google.android.gm and google.android.gsf

Edit. Found it. You have a typo. It is gms
---------- Post added at 11:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:57 AM ----------
And dg_cache
I have two folders with exact same timestamp. What do I do?
Checking the files I side these two, the.apk file has some time difference. Is this what you mean?

I left the folders alone and was able to activate one card. Good enough! Thank you.
Thanks heaps. Working on latest Havoc OS build perfect.
Working, on rooted Stock EEA ROM.
You might want to correct your typo though, the folder to open in root explorer would be root/data/data/com.google.android.gms instead of root/data/data/com.google.android.gsm

Thank you so much. This is working perfectly. The only reason I wouldn't install custom was that google pay wont work in any of them.
Altho I was able to add the cards I found I couldn't use the card in google pay. At the payment terminal the phone vibrated, but no charge or payment was registered.
Anyone can confirm if they can actually use Google pay after this?

Yes, it's normal and root is fine too...
You can uninstall and reinstall google services and it gonna fix magisk response, but going to crash google pay again. So just leave it...
