Dear all.
First of all, thanks for your attention, I really appreciate.
I have a GNote 10.1 Wi-Fi version (N8013) with stock Android 4.1.
My S-Pen was getting me crazy, because I was not able to use it correctly on the edges of the device. I tried an app that supposed to reset the alignment, but I did not work, so I googled and found that the only way to fix it was "factory reseting" the tablet.
So, I installed the TeamWin recovery and backed up my data. After that I hit the button "reboot". But before rebooting, the recovery screen "told me" that I was not rooted and "asked" if I would like to install SuperSU to get root access. I checked YES and rebooted.
After that I got stucked at the "Samsung Galaxy Note" screen (see attached file).
I've tried to switch off the note, but the screen goes off for one second and it lights up again at the same screen.
If I plug the USB cable and try to switch it off, the note goes to the battery charging screen. If I remove the USB and push the power button again, the tablet gets back to the "Samsung Galaxy Note" screen.
Odin seems to "connect" with the tablet.
I can enter both the download mode and the recovery mode (not the teamwin recovery).
Attached pictures of what I get.
Any sugestions?
Thanks!!!
Everything is ok now
Dear all,
Hope I can help you if you have a problem similar to mine.
I remembered that a PC with no OS stops on some screen, but everything else works, just as what was happening with my note.
I tought that I might have wiped more things than I should, so, the only thing I had to do was to restore the backup that I had.
To do this I should reinstall the TWRP and the only way was via Odin.
Solved the problem this way:
1. Downloaded the Odin (http://techbeasts.com/2013/08/08/download-odin-pc-latest-version-v-3-07/)
2. Downloaded the TWRP file (http://techerrata.com/get/twrp2/p4noterf/openrecovery-twrp-2.6.1.0-p4notewifi.tar)
3. Connected the Galaxy Note to my PC using the USB cable
4. Entered the "download mode"
5. Loaded the file from step 2 into the tablet using Odin
6. Rebooted the tablet
7. Entered the recovery mode (TWRP was working)
8. Restored the backup that I had
9. Rebooted again
Did the dance of victory!!!
I am so glad to have my device back.
Regards

I see everyone suggesting odin and going into download mode... I can get to download mode but I am using a macbook pro, and there are very little options to use odin, I tried Jodin3... and Heimdall... no luck...

@ agelcer: Was your tablet rooted?
Hello. I havea similar problem with my note 2 phone. It will not get past the
samsung screen. My cpu knowledge is very limited. Are you open to accepting payment for attempting to fix my cell phone? All I want is the pictures off of it if that is all you can do to it. Pleass email me at [email protected] if you or anyone you know can help. Thanks....Jay
Same thing is happening to mine. I tried Odin but after the download the srceen goes black and then comes back to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 screen.
Hello folks.
Same problem here with a n8000.
It had the stock unrooted rom probably JellyBean.
Can only access Download Mode, nothing else.
I get connection to Odin, tried to flash original firmware, 4 file firmware, re-partition with pit file, flash a custom recovery, all seem to pass through but nothing changes, still stuck on 'Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1' screen, never moves on to boot animation and still can't access Recovery Mode.
However, something else I triy with Odin and it FAILS is ticking 'Nand Erase All'. It won't let me erase nand.
Could this mean some kind of memory corruption?
Does it have anything to do with EMMC?
If it does, is there a possible way to fix without replacing the hardware?
What else can I try before giving up?
It would be nice if other users who report this problem attempt to Nand Erase All and see if it also FAILS..
Thanks alot and sorry for the long post.
Edit: after posting I found this which is PROBABLY THE SOLUTION for me.
And here is another topic on this issue.
did you find the solution?

I assumed from my searches the solution would be JTAG or replace the EMMC.
Since I don't have the resources for any of those, I just abandoned it to the dust and rust..
bootloader
Is this after the boot loader is updated?

I'm not very clear about bootloader upgrading, but I guess it was included in the 4 file firmware I tried flashing and it said 'success' but nothing changed..
I think it ain't just a softbrick since I can't erase nand..
What's your background, osirisx69?
This happened to ours as well just today. Unplugged it rebooted it and it's stuck. Can only access the Odin mode.

hello every one i have another gs3 with another boot loop issue. so on first sight the phone looks good. it will turn on and show the screen saying "samsung galaxy sIII" but after that it goes black and 3 seconds later it vibrates then another 3 seconds and it vibrates again and then 3 more seconds and the boot screen is back displaying "samsung galaxy sIII". it will not boot in to recovery mode, however i can get to odin mode or download mode. it has never bin rooted, and it has stock rom, but i did try rooting it throu odin mode and it failed multiple times as well as the phone would display "unsupported format"? i have seen this before and it ended up being a power button and well i tried replacing that with no effect. i also noticed that when you do try booting the phone into recovery mode it will say "recoverybooting" in blue letters at the top left hand corner but just keeps boot looping, i need to recover the data on the phone since i was going to back it up but could not do it in time lmao!!!! any help or suggestions would be appreciated, i have bin at this for days now and my chances are looking dim :crying:

The story:
Got a phone with some software problems when calling from a spouse. Tried to update the ROM and it bricked.
Status:
endless loop of bootscreen
could enter recovery mode and boot CWR
can not enter download mode
unable to boot system
Tried endless guides and instructions with stock ROM's and firmwares. Some of them installed some didnt - none worked. Still in endless loop.
Gave up yesterday and went to bed to keep trying today.
Now its totally bricked.
- no recovery mode
- no download mode
- no boot screen
- cant connect to PC via USB (Odin wont recoqnize)
The only sign of life - whatever I do it has black screen with backlight on but nothing else.
What can I do? They say that a broken phone is only with hardware problems but could I have f**** up the software so much that its the same?

You can try this guide by @SuperMini to force open Download Mode from odin. Here is the link,
How to unbrick Samsung Galaxy Ace
Make sure to use the key combination of Download Mode for your device as the one mentioned in the guide is for Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830. If that doesn't work, then you can try the USB Jig (not always guaranteed to work). If USB Jig did work, then it will force open the Download Mode so you can flash stock rom back using odin. If USB Jig doesn't work either, then your last option is to consult the Service Center. Do post the result. Hope I Helped

1. make sure you have installed drivers on your computer
2. remove battery > connect phone to computer > press volume buttons and lock key
3. if you get a black screen just press the volume up button.
odin will recognize the device
if this does not work then try multi-formatter
using it, format rfs partition and then install some custom rom.

I'm sorry to hear that. Now as the last resort, you can consult the Service Centre.
So here is what happened.
I have a Samsung S3 i9300 with android jellybean (4.3). I wanted to play Pokemon GO real bad (damn me ! ) so I tried rooting my phone and upgrading it to 4.4.
I used the kingoroot from PC and successfully rooted my phone. Then i downloaded the TWRP manager app in my phone and went to install recovery (i have no idea what that is but i went as per instructions given on TWRP website), chose my device, the latest image available and then selected "install". It ran and then gave me a pop up that it is not successful because either the image is not for my device or my phone's "something" is locked (i don't exactly remember what it was.. but i searched and found out that Samsung galaxy S3 i9300 has "that" feature always unlocked). Then it gave me an option to "Reboot Now" and i chose that, which hanged my phone. I pressed the home button and it went to the home page and the phone was working OK besides the TWRP manager app which was stuck. So what I did was that I restart my phone using the power button. My phone restarted and then I got a black screen and the LED which indicates the charging status was blue (with changing shades), It got me worried so I took out the battery. When i put it again it was DEAD
I tried the soft reset, hard reset but no luck.
When i connect it to my PC it does give that connected sound but nothing else.
same thing i also ttied to play pokemon go
Tomorrow i will try to use a jig mayba that can help me to get in to download mode

Hey Community,
i´ve got some problems after i tried to fix my Galaxy S5 (SM-G901F). One day i accidentally dropped my phone and purple spots started to show up on my screen until eventually all of it was covered and the phone was therefore unuseable. So i thought my screen was the issue, which is why i bought a third-party screen. After i installed the screen i tried to boot up my phone, which is when i first started to notice the problem.
My phone won´t boot. It´ll show the screen, which says "Samsung Galaxy S5/ Powered by Android), but then it just goes black for a few seconds and then it starts all over again. So i thought it would help to wipe the cache by going into recovery mode, but it turned out that i have no access to the recovery mode, whereas i still have access to the download mode. I tried to flash a new recovery using odin, but the problem stays the same.
Then i had the idea, that the logic board might have a problem, which is why i bought a new logic board. After i installed it i tried to boot the phone up, but then the same problem appeared as i described above. This time i didn´t even have any access to the recovery and the download mode.
I would appreciate any help i could get.
Please contact me if you have any further questions.
