It's cool that you made this, but it would be fine if you make a flashable ZIP rather than giving every .apk.

Hello guys, I wanted to start a collection of bootscreens for Wildfire!
Guide on how to make/use custom boot-screens by melvinchng.
Also a quick guide on how to use these bootscreens in post #3.

Earth Latest Screen (still tweaking on this one)
This is a Bootscreen I did for my buddy daddyspud's Ds ROM
Google bootscreen loader created by djdevine2
This current screen is a first of many that I want to give out to the community.
Lets fire up the phone!
Aurora streak
Here are the N1 style bootscreens
_____
Download both N1 screens and additional files here
N1 CyanogenMod Bootscreens
_____
Please let me know what you think of the screens that I upload. Also all suggestions are welcome!
The animated previews you see on this page are low quality animated gif images which are set to loop through the whole sequence, the final files that you get will have good quality animations with proper loops.
Hope you find these useful.
So here is a video of a few select bootscreens. Just wanted something better than the Gif's above, (still not that great) all these look even better on the phone.
How to use these Bootscreens.
First off this is a basic guide, if there are easier/better/correct methods, please do let me know
Please read the full guide before starting.
Theory: So once you have the bootscreen.zip downloaded, you need to send it to your phone's internal memory in a particular location. Generally this location is data/local, but depending on your current ROM the location may differ.
Things required:
Rooted phone
Root explorer (or any similar app that gives you access to edit the internal memory eg: super manager)
Procedure:
Copy the downloaded bootscreen.zip file to your sd-card.
Open root explorer (or anything similar).
(backup) Just in case anything goes wrong or if you want to keep a copy of the original boot animation, copy to bootanimation.zip file you find in data/local directory to your sd-card.
Long press the bootscreen.zip file that you downloaded and copy it. (in root explorer long press open context menu, may change depending on your app)
Navigate to data/local on your phone's internal memory and paste the file. Accept the prompt about replacing the file that already exists.
You're done!
Reboot and enjoy.
Note: If the bootscreen.zip file is not found under data/local run a search through the app or on the ROM zip package that you have installed to get the location.
For those of you running CyanogenMod 7, you dont have to replace the original file, placing the bootscreen.zip file under data/local is enough.
N1 boot animation please .

Hey I like the N1 animation alot, but it seems to go too fast... if I simply change the 30 fps to say, 20, will that make it slower? and will it take longer to boot because the animation is slower, is there a set amount of times the animations run before you enter the OS itself? Or does the animation run untill the OS loaded up?
I have edited the desc.txt of the Nexus One bootanimation and now it works on the Xperia X8.
In the attached picture you see how it looks like.
And here´s the URL:
h**p://shareplace.com/?C2B1CF5017
Press "thanks" if you like it.
Installation guide:
1. Download the file and copy it to your sdcard.
2. Open Root Explorer (Or another similar file manager with root-mode)
3. Go to your sdcard, search for the file and copy it to /system/media (it has to be mounted as RW
4. replace your bootanimation.zip with my one.
If you want to have the option to go back to the stock animation after you replaced it with the new one, rename your stock bootanimation into "bootanimation.zip.bak" or something like that, and when you want to go back, delete the new one and delete the ".bak" at the end.
thank you, this look fine ... i will give a try
Sorry for my bad English! Greetings from Chile
It has a good animation but the best is the Energy Star boot
How does this look like?
EDIT: i found ia video of it- it´s good but I think I will keep my Nexus bootanimation
im looking for the stock Sony Ericsson boot animation. I have Floyo .20 but don't like it;s boot animation. If any one can upload it I would really appreciate it
Did you make a backup of your stock 2.1 before you installed floyo?
If you did, you can restore it with xrecovery, go in Root Explorer to system/media and copy the bootanimation.zip file to your sdcard, then install floyo again (via xrecovery) and replace the bootanimation.zip of floyo with your one.

Thank You!
I have x10 mini with cm7 2.2.1 . And i will change minicm7 bootanimation with different bootanimation. I was moving bootanimation.zip to system/media and i was change the resolution 240 320 15. So I reboot my robyn . But there is do nothing on boot animation. Just black screen. Can anybody help me please?
Sent from my E10i using xda premium
I have changed my cm7 booanimation with other bootanimation.zip (taken from this forum) .
I use root explorer, mount R/W system/media and overwrite old bootanimation with new one. But I use directly a QVGA version bootanimation (like sony original one, ICS or MAKEBELIEVE) not a different one resized.
Maybe if you do the resize all the images contained in the zip file, it could also work for your entertainment. Otherwise it is difficult to be seen. Would probably be bad or fail completely.
I was do tutorial to change bootanimation, but if i reboot my device, bootanomation couldn't work, just black screen and then turning on..
What can i do for fix it?
But anyway thanks a lot man..
Sorry for my english ,i'm indonesian

You're welkome...but I don't know why bootanimation don't work...if you put a correct version of bootanimation.zip with rootexplorer (or similar) in system/media, I don't understand what's the problem that create blank screen...
for test, try different bootanimation.zip file...

Please Download Update for better Bootanimation Than Previous...
I am a Noob. Please forgive me if u found any fault.
I searched a lot for boot animations but couldn't find one that I would like on my phone so I created my own boot animation with sound.
Instructions:
Your phone should be rooted
This is NOT a flashable zip
1. Place/Replace the file in /system/media/ using RootExplorer (or any other root-access explorer)
2. Change the permission of the file in options. Set it rw-r-r. (Just tick em all if you do not understand this)
3. Reboot the phone. Enjoy!
Resolution: 480 x 854
Please See attachment's photo for Screenshot
Let me know if u want to change anything/any suggestion/any creative idea.
Sorry for my Bad english.
Always make a Backup before doing any modifications
Dont forget to press THANKS button
Ugh, that bootanimation was ugly
The things that I dont like with it is that black colour on the android robot backround is not the same as the Xperia.
And one thing is that the Sony logo in the ending makes it more ugly.

I am really so sorry for that.
I am just a beginner.
I also update a new Bootanimation that is a little bit good than previous.
