choosing VPN - AT&T HTC One (M8)

Can I get some suggestions for a good VPN. I've been looking on Google, but I want advice from the people here.
Thanks
EDIT
I went with privateinternetacess. They are a little pricey, but they was what I was looking for.

Nowadays there are many reliable VPN provider in industry so in order to find the best one, go online and check out the reviews for different VPN services. Make a comparison of the features, costs, security, speed, bandwidth, server location and connectivity protocol. By doing your research beforehand, you can narrow down your options to two or three VPN service providers before making a final decision.
I personally subscribed to purevpn as it helped me to bypass the restriction when I was in China through the following dedicated app but I'm sure you can find many reliable providers by checking those reviews:

Hope it could help.

[Q] How to get MMS to work ... small Tier 3 Carrier Needs Development Assistance

We are a very small Tier 3 CDMA carrier. Because we purchase handsets in low volumes, we find if extremely difficult to obtain assistance from most vendors and handset manufacturers.
One of the smartphones we are trying to add to our line-up is the HTC Hero.
We typically can only get phones after larger carriers have run them through their life cycle and such is the case here. We are having trouble implementing MMS. It seems that none of the tools or other resources available to us are capable of allowing us to set X-MDN HTTP header and that seems to be what is preventing the handset from authenticating with our MMSC and thus the MMS send is failing.
I'm starting to understand that MMS is an application and as such it seems it may take an app developer to help us solve the problem. We do not have an Android developer on staff nor do we have an existing relationship with one. Can anyone in this forum help us find a solution to the problem? We are willing to pay a reasonable fee if so.

Verizon's Email about the Bootloader

I send email last week asking "why cant I unlock the bootloader?"
here is Verizon's answer:
Good Morning Mr. XXXX,
Thank you for contacting Verizon Wireless through our website. My name is Michelle, and I understand that you're questioning the bootloader on your HTC Rezound. I certainly know the importance of being aware of the features on your device. I'll be glad to assist you today.
Mr. XXX, The bootloader is locked on an Android device because although it’s an open source OS, still the manufacturers want you to stick to their Android OS version specifically designed for the device. Additionally, the Bootloader is locked on each device so that only the Verizon Wireless operating system can be ran.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
Please know that unlocking the Bootloader or rooting your device will void your warranty. We also don't offer assistance for Non-Verizon Wireless software.
I also wanted to inform you that I attempted to contact you on your mobile number ending in XXXX, unfortunately I was unable to reach you. I was calling to assist you with your concern and verity your account. According to our records, you previously added a password to your account. For your protection this password must be verified before I can discuss your account or process any changes. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and hope you understand our desire to protect account privacy.
Please note: The account password referred to on the website "Contact Us" page is not the same as the password you created for your online "My Verizon" service.
If you have forgotten your password, please contact Customer Service at 800 922-0204 or dial *611(send) from your wireless phone. Both numbers are airtime free. We will be able to verify secondary information with you to ensure the security of your account.
Mr. XXXX, If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact me directly. You can reach me at 803-231-1787. My normal business hours are 7:00am - 4:00pm EST, Monday - Friday. I look forward to providing you with any additional assistance that may be needed.

I didn't know that Verizon had their own OS
Sounds like your typical corporate pr talking head doublespeak. Too bad there aren't any people with real answers to contact us. Until they see some real numbers that this stance is hurting sales I doubt we will get results. But I Prefer to think there still a chance. Let's keep throwing pellets of complaints @ there sites of communication. Solidarity fellow activists of occupy verizon - htc - google.!
Verizon is so full of crap.
Sounds like one of the most honest answers so far, they want phones to stay on their network so they can keep raking in the cash. It's a ****ty business practice either way.

does anybody know of a per minute basis rate international calls

I need to do business calls frequently but the cost involved is daunting. can someone give ideas, thanks
They say Skype sucks up your battery life.
I'd recommend Voip Buster. They have an apk for android and their calling rates are really low.
If you buy like 10 Euros/year, it will let you call unlimited mobiles and fix phones for free in USA, Canada, China and other countries.
So, if you have a good internet connection, you could use this application instead of you phone's regular dialer flawlessly.
I hope I have helped.
Been doing international for 25 years, it's piece of cake now with the fast Internet speeds and VOIP, which all major corporations run now and not only for international but nationally as well.
If you're looking to use VOIP, most features offered and cheapest rates I know are callcentric. Localphone is good too but a bit different in its use : it'll save money if you need international local numbers in a bunch of countries.
If you want to stick to POTS, then that's going to be a bit harder and more expensive, and largely depends on which countries you need to reach.

thanks MrCabana and e-motion. callcentric and the others looks good but has subscription plan however I do not want to subscribe I just want a per minute rate calls.

Activesync Device Management Policies - Data Monitoring

Hi Everyone
It has been some time since i have visited, but i can think of no better place to ask for help.:good:
My company has provided all users with Android or IOS phones and each device is on a business plan through our local carrier (Telus).
Each account has a 2GB data limit, and overages are bloody expensive, thanks to Telus. There is no plan option to share a "pool" of data (ie 16 users @ 2GB = 32GB of shared data...) Instead, some of our power users go over and it costs the company $ while we have most users hovering around the 500MB/month.
I know that both Android and IOS have internal data monitoring tools, allowing for soft and hard limits for cellular data. I am wondering if there is a way to set and enforce these limits via an Exchange Activesync Policy. I have searched but found very little info on this.
I have found references to installing 3rd party software, but we are looking for a built in solution.
Thanks!!

RWATCH R10S Elder GPS Smartwatch Phone request for help

Dear Group
I am not sure if I am in the right place but I am looking for some help with the above watch.
The supplier Gearbest is not helpful at all.
This has forced me to seek help else where. I tried scouting around to find out who makes this watch then obtain perhaps an email . The supplier Gearbest will not release details of who makes this watch or a support email address. This has forced me to do my own searching.
I found a company who makes Rwatch but the the fellow I emailed deny this is their watch.
My problem is thus I bought the above watch. From Gearbest. It arrived here and fully functional except no communication via GSM ie cell phone data . I paid Gearbest a fee and they sent me a replacement watch and exactly the same problem it arrived fully functional but. No communication via GSM ie cell phone data.
We import a variety of gps tracking devices the majority have to be set up especially setting the apn depending on the cell service provider, I was wondering if the apn on this watch is not set correctly, hence the lack of data, it seems to me impossible that two watches of the same brand etc don't work on arrival here in South Africa.
I tried an alternative cell phone service providers sim cards in the hope that one would by chance work but alas I could get no joy.
I tried to plug the watch in to my pc via usb cable thinking I could perhaps telnet but could not make any progress on my own.
I was wondering if any one here knows who actually makes these watches, perhaps a support email address would really be helpful.
Alternately Is there any way of finding out if the watch is set up to the correct apn for example. How would that be checked via a sms command or a telnet session. Is there software that I can install that can probe the smart watch for its settings via the usb cable.
To me it seems silly to send the watches back at a cost to me and only to have them send another watch and we persist with the same impasse.
I was hoping with a bit of help or pointer and a few keystrokes we can have the watches fully working in no time.
If this is the wrong place to seek this type of help could you please direct me where to go to get the help I am asking for.
Thank you for your time and trouble reading this and any help you may be able to provide me with.
Regards

Hi, same issue here. Just bought the watch from Gearbest and there is a complete lack of support for it. I wrote a ticket to Gearbest demanding support and manuals, but I don't think they are going to provide anything...
Anyway, I gave been messing around and my trouble was that no data communication was in place. Only voice calls were working. I have found the codes to enter engineering mode; just dial *#3646633#. In the menu I have been able to go to GPRS act and activate GPRS. A big G letter is shown in the screen, but nevertheless, no communication is made, and the watch is still useless....
I have been messing around with the menus; been able to activate a serial port via USB and access via Putty to the watch and perform basic AT commands, but again, with no luck.
Other codes that work are *#66*# Factory mode and *#87# autotest.
If anyone can dig any deeper and find out how to make this watch work, they will be very welcome!!
Thanks
