[Q] Can't save contacts to the Phone - AT&T HTC One (M8)

I recently updated to the RUU 2.23. For some reason I no longer have the option to save my contacts to the phone. The only options I am being given us to either save them to my Google account or to the AT&T address book, neither of which I want to do. Had anyone else who upgraded to the new version see our experiencing the same issue?

Infinite Sync

I have noticed my phone always has the sync icon on the menu bar.
It never syncs unless i go in and cancel sync and then resync it.
Anyone know how i can fix this?
Thanks.
I think I read that this was due to having and using an HTC Sync account through the .com site. Disable that and restart, see if it helps.
Someone in the bugs threads mentioned they believed it was related to htc watch account and that deleting your htc watch account and rebooting fixes it. Might try it....
Yeah I logged out if HTC sense and it worked

Thanks guys. I'm trying all of the suggestions and no luck yet.
It was the htc watch that did it.
Great now restart is not working

Gmail calendar not syncing....grrr.

Is anyone else having this problem. this is very very important to me. it synced and then disappeared.
Mine is syncing. I sync my outlook work calendar to Google which syncs with phone. I had same setup on my evo 4g. I did not change anything in this setup.
Edit: I have accepted all otas

I wish the HTC email widget synced in real time like gmail does...there's a slight delay in that my gmail account gets it first and then the htc widget has to wait 5 mins...is there a way to sync the htc email as email comes in?
Mine syncs fine. No OTA.

Yes I did the ota.

I had issues with my gmail account syncing, then I realized that, somehow, I had not checked the box to sync gmail.
Check and make sure it's not something in your settings
I have multiple gmail calendars that all synced fine previously on my EVO 4g. Now, in the calendar app I only see the primary google calendar, not all the rest of my google calendars. The old HTC album allowed you to select which calendars, and add calendars to the list that are not actively being shown. after scratching around for 15min, I could find no such option to add the rest of my google calendars. I know they are visible, other programs acknoledge their presence. I have not done the OTA, but I may be doing it to see if it fixes this problem.
anyone that HAS done the OTA have difficulty with seeing multiple google calendars in HTC calendar app? anyone without the OTA have the same issue?
EDIT: did the OTA, still only see my primary google calendar, not all the other ones. anyone seeing more than one google calendar in the calendar app and know how to resolve? TIA.
did ota and made sure it was checked and still nothing. same problem as guy above me. anyone know of any fixes for this?
Had the same problem with my Fascinate, but found a fix. BEFORE you activate the device, any calendars you wish to sync MUST be viewable in the web version (i.e. load google cal, and click on each calendar you want access to on your roid so that that are all viewed at once). After this, go ahead and do the initial device setup. If you have calendars you want access to but dont want to view all the time, you can turn them off within your roids cal app.
new calendars that you add/create after initial setup seem to pull fine though. unfortunately, there does not appear to be a way to fix this AFTER your main gmail account is already added to the device. The only way to fix it at that point is to factory reset. Worked for me, hope it helps!

[Q] "HTC Sync" is useful to you? Any problem?

I knew there's a sync tool on HTC(HTC Sync), but really didn't need to use it daily. Are those stability issue or really useless tool that people get rid of it? Any suggestion?
No reply though! It seems no one admires this tool til now, I'm just curious why HTC and Google android can't build up the entire platform like iTunes. Or Google just doesn't wanna follow up what Apple done?
Personally I think it is useless and pointless. Removed as soon as I can
When I had my Evo, HTC Sync kept messing up my contacts birthdays and couldn't handle any variations in recurring appointments. I bought gSync and it is working flawlessly.
The latest version of HTC Sync is working well and without any problem. I am using it to sync my contacts and calendar with my PC. easy ans fast..
Has anyone noticed HTC Sync misses the last part of the information stored in a contact when it is bigger than a certain number of characters?
I know how to handle this in Active Sync, but not in HTC Sync.
Any idea?
Tanks.
I am still using the old version of HTC sync as when I update it can't recognize my mobile.

[Q] Stock contacts app

Anyone that has received, is it possible to decline using the AT&T contacts app?
Sent from my SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
No one? I don't want to use AT&T Address Book.
Yes. When you go through the initial contact setup, it allows you to decline using it. However, it will always be in the settings and occasionally pop up a syncing dialog box. But in the contacts app, even if you accidentally use it, there is a check box to not sync.

Stylo 2 destroyed

My phone got broken and I downgraded to a ZTE phone. I didn't sync my contacts and was able to save the sum card. Is there ANY WAY for me to get contacts off sim onto my new phone? PLEASE HELP!!!
The contacts aren't saved to the Sim card normally, they have to be manually added. So if they aren't in the Sim already then no (which more than likely they aren't). I would check your Google account and just make sure your contacts weren't synced because if not, there's no other way to get them back unless you have access to the old phone and can sync them or share them over Bluetooth or something like that.
