Hi guys,
I Unlocked bootloader, rooted and soff my device and then flashed Android Revolution HD 11.1:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2694917
My stock was 4.4.2 , 1.58.502.1 so as instructed here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54408500&postcount=9592
I flashed 2.22.1540.3 firmware.
Everything seems to work great but Motion launch gestures not working.
Is it firmware related ?
Is there a 2.* AT&T firmware I can download to fix it?
Thank you!

Hi All,
I have S-Offed and Unlocked the device and successfully been able to run Skydragon 9.1 with Firmware 2.22.1540.3 by using clean Install, I tried upgrading to Skydragon v 15.0 with Base 2.22.1540.4 Dev Edition. It was not at all stable on my AT&T device and hence I Reinstalled V9.1 Again .
Now I want to Install V18.0 on At&t Htc M8 . Will it be stable or not?
Secondly as V18 is based on 3.28.401.6 WWE do I need to do something special first os just follow the regular steps?
Like after download the V18.0 put it into sd card and clean swipe M8 and reinstall it from SD?
Is is ok if I follow above steps?
Please replay ASAP. Need Urgent help
First off no need to double post, you will not be able to run any 4.4.4 roms without first updating the firmware accordingly
The firmware won't flash through recovery. It flashes through fastboot. Just head over to skulldreamz thread, and pick up 3.28.401.6,rename to 0P6BIMG. Reboot into bootloader, select hboot and presto...you have the required firmware for SD v18....
@jxcorex28
Yes you can flash a 4.4.4 ROM before updating the firmware but it's been said it will boot slow and run slow.I didn't have any issues flashing Skydragon 4.4.4 running 1.58
@tranquil.rb
If you've already flashed the ROM than you can flashed the firmware update anytime you like following the procedure mentioned by "jxcorex28" without disrupting the ROM.
I'm running Skydragon 4.4.4 and have updated to the 3.28.401.6 on my US AT&T HTC ONE M8
I bought htc one m8 from e-bay (at&t unlocked) when I was USA. That at&t apps are really annoying and I didnt get the lollipop update. I wanted to update the rom by myself and delete the at&t apps. And now I rooted + unlocked bootloader and installed android revoulation 5.0.1 lollipop rom. I can't use wifi + I cant reboot the phone (it stucks at white HTC screen). I didn't flash firmware because s-on still. So I need really simple and detailed information about what to do. Can anyone pm me about it or explain in comments?
There is not Lollipop update for AT&T yet.
And if you aren't on AT&T's network you won't get any OTAs either. AT&T is fairly unique in this regard, other versions will update regardless of what carrier you are connected to.
For most Lollipop ROMs, you will find your WiFi is broken due to wrong (old) firmware. Your options:
1) A couple Lollipop Sense ROMs (LeeDroid?) seem to work with 4.4.4 firmware. But if your firmware is older than 4.4.4, I don't think any Lollipop Sense ROMs will work.
2) Revert to a ROM version that supports your firmware. For instance, if you are still on 4.4.4 firmware, install a stock or custom 4.4.4 Sense ROM.
3) S-off and update your firmware "manually".
I have an s5 that came with 5.1.1 completely stock, unrooted with baseband: G900TUVU1FOF6. I have never downgraded an s5 before. I've only done it to nexus devices. Does anyone have any instructions on how I should downgrade it? I was thinking of using the 5.1.1 rooting procedure that involves flashing a kernel with kies then maybe it would be possible to flash a custom 5.0 rom with recovery. I'm not sure that is a good idea though because I wasn't sure if the bootloader, CSC, or PDA firmware would still be stuck at the 5.1.1 version.
Edit:
I found this video which seems to say you don't need to root. I'll try the video's method. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nek0lowlMmM
wifi as working great, unlocked bootloader flash twrp. Then 2 7.1 based roms and no wifi on both roms?
Thanks for takeing the time to read my post
You need the latest vendor images. You can't just flash 7.1 ROMs onto your tablet if your current firmware version is 5.1, that's like 2 years old and at least 17 updates ago. Update your firmware to the latest version, found here: https://developers.google.com/android/images
If it's the LTE tablet, use "volantisg". If it's the WiFi-only version, use "volantis".
After you get the latest firmware installed you can start flashing custom 7.1 ROMs.
flashed stock rom with wugfresh toolkit still no wifi
You flashed the latest firmware? From January 2017?
If so, try a factory reset.
I did I had to reflash 5.1 then upgrade to stock 7.1 then re flash twrp then it worked thanks
Good morning,
I tried to downgrade to Android Lollipop from Marshmallow running Baseband DPL3 and Build DQA7. I used the normal firmware, but also the 4 part one, both did not bring any success.
Do you know if the downgrade is possible with my software version?
Thanks a lot!

how you downgraded is your fingerprint sensor working if everything is ok then tell me which firmware you used????
I'm sorry the fingerprint scanner doesnt work. I used an Engineering Bootloader and flashed the S6 edge 5.1.1 firmware right after that without modem, cm and sboot.bin... fingerprint scanner is a part of cm.bin. I couldnt downgrade that so it's avaiable but not working
