My Lumia 920 has an unusual problems
1. sometimes my phone screen don't respond to touch, but the volumes, camera and lock buttons and somethings like clock are working correctly. I must to restart my device in safe mode many times, maybe it works again.
2. If my screen respond to touch
a. glance not working
b. rotation not working
c. some apps+games like Nokia camera, temple run2 and etc, not working
d. the light's of back, windows and search (Cortana) button are off.
e. and etc
What can I do? What's happened?

if you use screen protector, try remove it or remove it from (cut screen protector to free) proximity sensor.
next step if problem not screen protector:
1. backup your data (music, photo, video)
2. flash device with http://download.fds-ncom.nokia.com/...covery/NokiaSoftwareRecoveryToolInstaller.exe
if this not help send phone to Nokia service...
did all of that. but still not working
and I can't send my device to Nokia service cuz they haven't any services in Iran.
would be a hardware problem?
* I changed my screen too, but nothing was happened and put my first screen back.

Today my atrix screen suddenly started to show bright stripes from top to bottom of the screen in every screen column which is not black.
This problem started after I replaced to an older sim to import some missing contacts , but it happen only after I returned to my regular sim card.
I tried to take off the battery and return, didnt work.
I tried to do a factory reset from the recovery and re-install my rom, didnt work.
I am adding a pic of the screen (its open in the apps screen)
Please let me know if there is any software solution to this or is it a hardware problem that requires replacement/fix
(this is an AT&T atrix with open bootloader and with alien rom installed).

update : now I somtimes dont get any picture on the screen when I turn the screen on
I would guess its a problem in the LCD I just dont understand how can the LCD stop working after only 4 month...
I currently using xperia mini pro sk17i,and also using cyanogen 2.3.7 ver.but my phone screen will blackout and unable to turn on whn i made a call.kindly tell me what the problem and how can i fix it.thanks alot!!
looks like bug in proximity sensor.

what was the resolusion?Im running stock rom and have same bug sometimes.
Probably screen protector (or, dunno, dirt?) bloquing both proximity sensors, thus the phone thinks you have the screen at your ear, so as soon as this function is activated (a call is made or received) the screen turn off.
Easy check, go to services menu (dial *#*#7378423#*#*, go to "Service tests" and then "Proximity switch".
If its ON the whole time, the sensors thinks something is near the screen, it should turn ON only if you cover the sensors (located at the upper left of the screen, beside the speaker), and off if you uncover it.
If no screen protector or dirt is found there, maybe its a software issue (custom ROM), but on stock it should work, else probably a faulty hardware, take it to repair.

I apologise if this has been asked before but I did a search and have found no solution that works.
From yesterday my Nokia has had an issue with the display dim and timeout. When the phone is first switched on it works fine and dims and locks within the set time (30 seconds) once I start using the phone say I send a text, put the phone down it just stays unlocked and does not dim. Also, if I press the power button to lock the screen it does not go black it locks the screen but stays lit (like when pressing power to see the time when locked) I have updated the software, this did not fix the issue. I restored back to before the update. I've also gone to settings>about> reset phone (I've actually done this several times) but the issue is still there!! Do I assume there is a fault on the phone now or am I missing some simple solution?!? It is driving me mad as it was fine. I'm in Cyprus so I'm not sure how easy it is to take to a service centre. Any ideas please?

I activated the phone in their own settings of android to show screen touches and strokes that you can see in the video above, and installed YAMTT app to better show the problem.
The Problem on mobile touch in the middle of the screen there is a track that is not recognized touch, but if I press the screen sinking, she returns to work temporarily, and now recognizes the touch - but after a few minutes the problem back and touch is not recognized again.
The screen is perhaps dished up, and when I press down her back to be in contact with the part of the cell that recognizes the touch, but with time the screen should be getting back dished up (this is my guess, not i'm sure).
Detail, not always when I press is running, sometimes I press the screen to the center of the touch again be recognized, but it seems that the phone is registering touches alone.
What would be a solution, and change the screen (it does not mean that changing the screen the problem solved), want to try other alternatives before changing the screen.
Perhaps heating up the screen with hot air, in theory it will expand and become more pliable, and then if I press down the center panel of the phone with something for a while until it cools, in theory the screen would remain indefinitely, and if that is the problem could solve -
Anyone have any thoughts, has been there?

Unfortunatel my device seems to have some kind of malfunction.
The Issue is that the devices suddenly locks andd just shows the clock.
I can`t unlock it. After a while it might show the normal screen and I can unlock it.
Then the clock comes back and I can`t do anything.
I reinstalled with wipe all everthing however after a while it will come back.

Check for smart cover option in smart assistance
Turn it off. The pic you posted comes when you use flip cover (when closed )
Have u applied any sceen protector covering upper right (nr front cam) side of screen it may cause this
There a proximity sensor and one other idnt know name but it should be uncovered when using phone.
Or the sensor is misbehaving.
