First of all, sorry if thread is in a wrong place.
I have very unusual problem with Sony Xperia Miro, as for now no one could help me.
My friend had this phone first.
He said it started crashing randomly, then ram dump happened. He found some new phone so he left Miro in a drawer for few months (this might be somewhat important). After that time he gave it to me. Now it doesn't even turn on, when I charge it Led Light doesn't even flash red/orange/green (Note: it flashed red for a brief moment once), when I plug it into PC, computer can't, see the device, though Flashtool detects it, but can't interact with it.
Battery was checked with electric meter and it says it's charged half full, so it should work.
So basically phone is dead, but its unlikely a physical condition since it's in great condition and also it happened with Software issues.
If anyone had a slightest idea what could it be, please help.

Greetings!
This isn't the first time my X10 stops working, but most of the times simple SEUS or flashtool flash fixed everything. But this time it's diferent, that's why I'm asking for help.
For the whole previous week my phone was playing with me. Random reboots, power button stopping to work, taking the phone out of the pocket just to see it turned off and such. This is how it reacts now:
1. Trying to turn it on: Green LED flashes for a split second and then the phone vibrates and that's it. No reaction. If I leave it then, green LED flashes for a split second from time to time. Have to reinsert the battery to make it 'react' again.
2. Trying to use SEUS: It detects the phone alright, the phone seems to enter flash mode, but the status bar doesn't even start filling. After some time I just get the message that the flashing failed.
3. Trying to use flashtool: Pretty much the same: status bar doesn't move, and after some time 'Flashing failed'.
4. Plugging it into wall charger or usb: Green LED lights up like in flash mode for 5 secs, then turns off, then lights up again and alternates like that every 5 seconds or so.
Any suggestions? I was on Wolf's V6 rom, locked bootloader, and my warranty ended like 5 months ago. Pretty sticky situtation. I'd really like to revive it without the need to bring it to repair or something. Eagerly waiting for every reply.
Thanks in advance!
Bump!
Please anybody!
probly cos of dead battery
I would say it was most probably because of your battery is ****ed, your battery connecting pins are screwed, or something gotta do with hardware.
Try leaving the phone on charge for at least 2 hours to see if that fixes it.
Or try to "Jump" start your battery.
I have read how to do this in a thread somewhere...i think by omegared...try and search for it
U can use external battery chargers to charge your battery. Or you can borrow it from someone for few hours
CheersS!
Milton --> From X10i on ROM : "ThGo2 v10. 0 beta1"
using XDA premium
Thanks for all the replies, I really appreciate that!

I kinda suspected my battery would be faulty. I remember I dropped it accidentaly around the time it stopped working. The fall won't be over 50cm, but I guess it was still fatal...
>gregbradley
After it stopped working, I left it plugged into wall charger overnight. Had just green led flashing and still no boot. Jump starting seems to be something I don't wanna mess with
>milton.bain
Don't really have access to any of these items, but I guess I'll try to get it from somewhere.
Ok then..
just buy a new battery then
if you want to check before you pay, find a friend with a working x10 and borrow theirs...
Noone I know owns a X10, but someone I know works at the place I bought my phone, so I'll try to borrow a battery from there for a few moments.
some of the symptoms of your phone indicates that it might be a motherboard problem.
the best suggestion is that you try out another battery in your phone, and see if it will act the same. if it is, have it checked, it might be hardware.
Hi guys,
I'm repasting what I wrote in my previous thread hoping you can have a clearer view of my issue.
My phone has the standard ROM, WP 6.5, nothing changed
I never flushed the phone, never formatted it, etc, everything is legit!
My TG01 has died many months ago and now I'm looking into ways of having it re-activated. I will explain to you my possible theories why it died, so maybe some of you will have an idea how to fix it
- For the first 4-5 months I only used PC USB (synchronization) charging, as I had a UK mains which obviously does not work in Europe. I noticed that the battery indicator was never really accurate, showing me the battery levels very vaguely.
- I often synchronized my Outlook e-mails with my mobile phone, one day my phone died when I chose to synchronize all e-mails. It died to an extent that the battery was completely empty. My PC wouldn't recognize it and it would only start for 5 seconds (the red led lamp would shine) and then die...
I somehow managed to revive it with my normal charger but afterwards it used to overheat quite a lot...
- One day I left it to synchronize again and the battery died on me again (at least that's what I think had happened)... the difference that USB PC charging did not work anymore as well mains charging. I was desperate enough to buy a replacement battery from eBay and I still have the same story. When I connect the phone to the charger I don't even see the diode lighting up anymore.. NOTHING. Any tips?
Could it be that the replacement battery is also so empty that even a mains can't charge it anymore? I heard someone mention something with cutting a wire etc, ... would that help me? IF so.. how do you exactly do that?
Thanks!
Hi guys,
So far no luck in getting updates from you, but I've got an update for myself:
I somehow managed to get the LED diode turn red when I connected it to the computer, which should be indicating the fact that the phone is charging, right? When I try to power it up the device manager recognizes a device called TOSHIBA DL... does this mean my phone is in some sort of emergency state?
The screen lights up a bit as well, but remains black.
yess this means your tg01 is NOT bricked. try take your battery out and put it back in so its totaly switched off then press n hold CAMERA, VOL UP, POWER keys to perform a master reset. if that doesnt work try this,
use the short pin method, put a .tsw in a PRG folder at the root off your sd card and short pins 1 and 3
if not,
download a tg01 rom in a .bin and flashh the .bin via tgdownloader
if you dont know these methods please tell me and i will link and help you.
Hi!
Thanks for your reply. If you could guide me a bit with the pins method, that would be great.
Also, when I plug in the mobile phone to charge now the red light is now flashing, instead of remaining constant, what could that indicate?
Phone never turns on now
hi there, it sounds like your battery has gone flat try leaving it on charge via USB for a few hours see if that will kickstart it and for the pin method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=654674
try to charge your battery first as it may just be a flat battery but if not you may need to reflash your rom via the pin method
if there are any problems or you are unsure message me back
Hello,
I have an unrooted Z2. With around 30% battery left, I put it in the charging dock on my desktop yesterday evening. After 1 or 2 hours, I noticed that the phone is completely dead - no LEDs are blinking, no vibration, nothing. I tried pressing the power button alone, in combination with VolumeDown, VolumeUp, CameraButton, for more than 30 seconds each. I tried pressing down the tiny red button next to the SIM slot for awhile. Nothing. Phone is dead like a brick.
The only result I'm getting is when I plug it into my computer (ubuntu 14.10) - the LED bar on top is showing a constant red color in this case. Doing the button presses outlined above in this situation is also pointless.
I'm installing flashtool for Linux right now, the connection is pretty slow and it will take awhile. I hope to find out more afterwards. I'm a newbie when it comes to flashing sony phones, only found out now about flashtool. Any advice/tip on how to proceed, or if it even makes sense to dig into this, is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Hello,
are you perfectly sure your dock was connected properly and it hasn't discharged your phone? Maybe there was something wrong with it.
I had similar situation while I was low on battery and I was creating backup in recovery. Then I fell asleep and I have found my phone completely 'dead'. I connected it to the wall charger and nothing. No led, no nothing. I have even connected it to my pc and also nothing happened. Then I connected my Z2 to the wall charger and I left it like that. And after few hours, out of the blue, just turned itself on, just like my old Nokia n95.
I'm sorry it's not quite solution you looked for, but give it a try. Essential is to charge it via wall charger.
Good luck!
Do what @amon87 says OP. Charge it on a wall charger for a minimum of 3-4 hours; If that doesn't work, can you specify whether you were using a legitimate Sony dock or a third party dock? If it was third party, it could possibly have caused a hardware problem with your device via the magnetic charge pins (not extremely likely but not unheard of). Worst case scenario, send it back to Sony in the next few days. The warranty will cover it if you haven't caused water damage or anything like that.
Thanks for your replies! I also hoped for a sudden discharge, so I removed the device from the dock, plugged the USB in directly, and left it overnight - still nothing. Also, I have the original Sony dock, and have never exposed the device to any water.
Found out the model number in the meantime, it's D5303, if it's of any help. Flashtool does not see the device, unfortunately. I just found out that Sony describes an option to restore your device through the official PC companion app - I'll give that a try when I'm home, and will report back tomorrow.
Otherwise I guess my only option is the warranty.
There's also an option to quickly plug in and out charging wire to kick-start the battery. Unfortunatelly i have no further ideas to help you out.
Don't give your hopes up, try again. There's been a thread of a guy whose Z2 turned itself off and it seemed dead, but after a day or two it just turned on.
So, of course it's also not detected by Sony's "Bridge for Mac" app. Plugging it in and out brought also no results.
As the device is still covered by warranty, and I have yet not tampered with it, I've sent it in for repair! My pocket feels so empty now, i wonder how life is going to be without a phone. Apparently they need 5 - 10 working days.
Thanks for your kind support, guys!
Sorry to hear that. Hope it will get fixed!
Changed battery. Nothing changed.
Before I started this process, I was able to turn the phone on, hear the startup sounds, and charge it, no problem.
Yesterday I changed my cracked LCD (and digitizer) with one of these witrigs .com/oem-lcd-with-digitizer-for-sony-xperia-z2 (I'm not allowed to post links)
Followed the instructions provided by witrigs.
However, after having put it together again, when I try to turn it on all I get is 3 red blinks. (This would indicate low / empty battery, right?)
So I connected it to the charger (tried both wallsocket, and USB from two different computer, and different cables.) and all it gives me is a red light.
Normally, this would mean that it's charging, as far as I know, but it stays like that for hours, without any changes. So I was puzzled by this, googled to no avail.
I can not get it in flashmode, nor fastboot mode. However, here is the interesting part. When I disconnect the battery from the back and connect the phone to a charger (or USB from PC) the screen lights up, and shows me the charging animation.
In addition to this, when the battery is disconnected, I can get it into fastboot (Blue led, if I've read correct, I can not get into this with the battery connected.)
With this information, and my lack of real knowledge about how this technology works, I assumed the battery was broken, so to test that a bit further, I checked it with a multimeter.
It's currently showing 4.2v. I don't have another battery I can try with as of now, nor do I have other readings from other batteries. Maybe some of you do.
Anyway, have any of you encountered anything like this before? and or have any suggestions as to what I can / should test or try next? - I'm running out of ideas. (I will buy a new battery when I have money, but it probably will not be here in 5-8 weeks, due to when I get money and shippingtime.)
Thanks in advance for your time, and I'm terribly sorry if this has been talked about before. I searched, but maybe my searching skills are bad, as I could not find anything like this.
Please help
please help guys i dont know what is that
I have read some similar tread, not involving the screen replacement though, try to change the battery and it'll be up and running again. Keep us updated.
or if you have a multimeter, try to test the battery voltage and see if it's dead.
4.2 V means it's fully charged. It's either that your battery was severely damaged and the safety circuits inside don't let you charge/use it further or some other part of the phone is damaged.
Hi folks,
First things first: I know there are a lot of threads concerning the "red light of death" for Huawei and other devices. I already read so many of them that my head is spinning xD However, I have some questions left and I need to distract myself from getting crazy due to the possible loss of data on my phone (and I have to wait at least until Tuesday for any news regarding the phone...)
What happend?
- Phone restarted while surfing
- Went into a bootloop
- Tried a soft reset
- Tried eRecovery --> Not succesfull
At this point I had to leave the train and the phone had turned off anyway. Wanted to charge the phone at the airport and back up recent data. Removed the protective cover and noticed that the battery was bloated. Since I was afraid I unplugged the phone and came to the conclusion that the phone doesn't work due to the defective battery. Back at home I ordered a new battery - didn't help. Phone won't turn on, softboot doesn't work. I only see a solid red LED when I try to charge it. Bought another battery - nothing. Went to a repair shop: This is the point where I start to have questions
They are all very nice at this place and maybe everything will turn out fine but I just can't wrap my head around certain things.
At first they also wanted to check for a defective battery and possible repairing errors since I replaced it myself. Today they called and let me know that the new battery is alright and they now want to order a new screen module. Later today I went to their shop to ask how much everything will cost and also to ask them about the procedure. I asked them why they want to change the display. Answer: Since the battery is fine, we believe the screen cable got damaged when taking out the old battery - its a common issue because the cable is underneath the glued battery. Once the new screen module is ordered there is a good change that it'll work and we can save your data. Note that I don't have to pay for the new screen, since I said that I only want the data back and that I don't need the phone back fully working. So I don't think they suggested it for the sake of making money.
I have indicated that I suspect a hardware problem, but the guy said the motherboard is fine. He continued to explain, that since the red LED is on and the mainboard as well as the battery are fine they assume a problem with the screen.
My questions:
How can they check if the logicboard "is ok" (I asked if they can do micro soldering and since they can't I doubt they can measure the components). Are there easy ways to exclude an hardware error on the board?
Is it possible that the phone doesn't start, vibrate, is not detected by the PC all because of a faulty screen? Any ideas why the LED is visible then?
Doesn't the red solid LED indicate charging? So how come I "charge" while not being plugged in? (LED stays red all the time)
My initial problem wasn't a possibly ruined screen cable/connection but a bloated battery. It just cracked the backcover open but nothing happened to the screen --> Is it possible at all that the bloated battery killed the display module?
If anyone has read this far: It would help me if you speculate with me about the problem, share your experiences or help me in any other way. Somehow I have to pass the time until next week and I'm going insane xD
Thank you so much!
