[Q] Restoring back stock Recovery AT&T E970 - AT&T LG Optimus G

Folks,
Phone - AT&T E970 Jellybean
I rooted and BL-Unlocked my phone and installed CWMOD recovery. I backed up my stock AT&T Rom using CWMOD. I played around with a few ROMS but I found that Stock was the most stable so I restored my backup using CWMOD so everything works like normal now. However, I still do have CWMOD recovery iinstalled. Is there a way to flash just the stock recovery back?
I did search for the LGNPST guide but that seems to over-write everything. Is there a lower risk way to restore the stock recovery using a TOT file or something like that?
Any help would be appreciated..

For reasons I shouldnt have to go into I had to return this phone back to stock so i went into CWM recovery and did a backup of my last stock root 2.2. Then i accidently went into privacy and hit reset factory. Now my phone only boots up in clockworkmod recovery over and over. Can i fix this somehow? Thanks

First of all download and flash Mik's cm rom as per instructions or any backup done. Then you may ponder upon other options.

I still have the cm7 rom on my sdcard and i even tried to re-flash it but it still boots up into clockworkmod recovery.

[Fixed] Optimus V - Thunder Recovery Loophole.

Hello,
I have an optimus v phone that I rooted using fastbootroot. That worked great, while I had it. A couple of days ago I decided to sell the phone and tried to get back to stock. I do not remember correctly, but I had a nandroid of the original rom, that I tried to restore. For some reason it did not work. I then Tried using fastbootroom using option number 3, to restore factory room, and now I am stock in the Android System Recovery, build: RA-THUNDERC-1.1.0-GNM.
I tried installing the factory room (zip) that I downloaded from here, xda, and it installs fine, however, when it boots, it goes back to Android System Recovery build: RA-THUNDERC-1.1.0-GNM. I also tried The nandroid option but it does not work with the backups that I have.
I have tried other things during the past two days, but the last one was the KDZ FW Update, as noted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=875881
I found the Firmware from LG for the Optimus V, but it is in a .cab instead of .kdz format, so that has not worked either. Also, I could not get the KDZ FW Update to recognize the phone, so even if I had a .kdz not sure if I could Flash.
I someone could direct me to a from to restore to factory of at least to boot again into a room, I would appreciate it.
Thanks!
FYI- I have also tried abd shell thing and it has not worked for me either.
Fixed
It took me a while to find a working fix, but this phone is finally working. With a thread over at android central, member Whyzor recommended using Xionia CWMA to flash a rom. I did that, and was able to reboot into a rom that I had saved on the SD Card. On Xionia I could not use the nandroids that I had created with Clockwork Recovery.
I then flashed Clockwork Recovery and rebooted to flash the Stock nandroid that I had. That worked perfectly, however, the phone would again be on a loophole with Clockwork Recovery (wonder why?). I just flashed Xionia once more, and the phone is back to stock Rom but with Xionia Recovery and Rooted.
The Xionia recovery can be found here: http://www.mediafire.com/?fbaoutnaw717pnb
And the original thread: http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-...android-system-recovery-after-data-reset.html
Hope this helps someone in the future!

[Q] Stock Recovery flashable in CWM

So here is the situation. I have decided to return my Note to AT&T. Since I decided to flash an ICS leak after the flash counter reset was found, I just went ahead and flashed CWM then flashed a the Alpha2 ICS. This means my nandroid of my stock does not have root.
I am back on Stock ROM and Radio without root, but I still have CWM. Since I don't have root, I can't use the ADB method to replace stock recovery. Is there a CWM flashable of the stock recovery? Or do I have to flash the rooted stock, then use ADB to put stock recovery, then flash the unroot.tar?
Any help would be appreciated.
Phone has been returned
Decided since time spent flashing was better than sitting I just went ahead and flashed a rooted stock
No issues?

[q] please!! Need help with cwm restore data!!

So I had my Epic 4g Touch running on ics 4.0.4 root and it was working totally fine, UNTIL....I decided to install the cyanogenmod 10.1 rom to see how jellybean 4.2.2 is all about. I followed the instructions exactly as they were depicted on a youtube video, and used clockworkmod recovery v5.0.2.7 to backup my current rom (ICS 4.0.4). The 4.2.2 ran totally fine, until I tried restoring my data from the old rom I had before (I hope Im not confusing anyone). After restoring the data, the jellybean rom would stay stuck in the boot up screen. Then I tried just restoring the entire rom from backup, my phone would just boot right back into custom recovery mode after completing the backup restore. I then tried restoring my phone to the old 4.0.4 root that I had before, but I would just run into the same problems whenever trying to do a full backup restore or just a data restore (phone just cycling back into custom recovery mode)
Is there anything I could do???? I can still look into my phone's eternal sd card and see that the recovery files are still there. I just need to restore my phone back because it would be a lot of trouble finding contacts, redownloading apps, as well I had some vital memo pad files that I really need to get back for my business. IS THERE ANY WAY I COULD RECOVER MY PHONE DATA???? PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Thanks guys. I found a solution. I just kept the new cyanogenmod 10.1 and used the nandroid manager app to restore all of my apps and the rest of my data individually. Worked great!!

[Q] Will Odin brick my phone?

I'm using a MK2 Verizon Galaxy S4, which is rooted, with Eclipse ROM installed via Safestrap on the stock rom slot. Back when I first rooted my phone I made the stupid mistake of trying to install a custom recovery, which apparently borked my stock recovery. Thankfully with Safestrap I was still able to boot my phone and install Eclipse, which I've enjoyed using. Now I would like to Odin back to stock so that I might try using KitKat roms, but I'm worried that a full-wipe Odin might not replace my borked recovery, and would therefore completely brick my phone. Will Odin restore the stock recovery and reset everything to stock, or should I stay with what I have?

Odin will restore everything to stock, no worries. In fact, if you have a borked recovery, Odin is exactly what you should use to replace it.
Brilliant! Thanks for the swift and helpful reply.
