I am rooted with TWRP, installed the B148 update and rebooted. when i tried to reboot into TWRP to make a backup it went into stock recovery. I tried reflashing twrp no problem and the PC screen said "finished", but no twrp when i rebooted again. Any help? Thanks.
Use stock recovery to re install update located in your extsd.
Then re flash TWRP via bootloader

I applied the B148 update before I ever mounted an sd card, so there is no update file there. I have since installed an sd card however. What do I do now? Thanks.

Downloaded file, rebooted to stock recovery, selected "apply update from external storage". Selected that downloaded file. It tried to load. Got an "installation aborted" error message and some Chinese characters underneath a dead droid robot image. Thank you for trying, anything I'm doing wrong? Thanks again.

Boot into your stock recovery and choose the apply from external storage option then look for a folder called HwOUC and select updatesign.zip then try and reinstall TWRP

Key Mapping for Recovery start
Can someone dont forget to implement Key mapping for starting the NEW recovery Mode.
Im proudly a happy user of this great phone but a recovery to start from off situation were pretty cool.
An app or a tool for erasing download count and others to be tweaked were also very helpfull.
Best regards

I guess you downloaded them from the official cwm site?

Not really no, but the size is different they're bigger I'm assuming because of some minor bug fixes.

You ll need root access and the app superuser!
Get the .img file from first post.
Get an terminal emulator from market and open it.
We ll flash it via dd on terminal.
Move the .img to internal sd via file explorer.
In terminal first type su.
The command for flashing is in the first post. Begins with dd.
All right?

Soooooo, let me tell you whats going on I rooted my phone (Worked fine)..... Then I went to install Hotspot (Failed) And my phone was stuck on the Sprint screen. So I tried to throw a rom on it and it (failed). Now I'm trying to use Odin to go back to Stock and I'm getting "MD5 hash value is invalid" I need HELP!!!!! lol
Check the MD5 of whatever tar you are trying to flash. Josh's MI5 has a MD5 posted so you can check to make sure the d/l went through properly. Alternatively, you might want to flash the latest version of TWRP in Odin and immediately boot into recovery before the phone reboots

When I try to flash a rom it fails
So you can get into download mode and you can get into TWRP but when you try to flash a MI3/MI5 tar in Odin it will not go through...and you are sure that the tar files are not corrupt?
And the rom zips are definitely not corrupt that you are flashing in TWRP?
I would say that if you can access TWRP and still get into Download mode you are not bricked. I would PM Josh or Freeza and ask them for advice.

I would ODIN TWRP again and uncheck auto reboot. Then manually boot into twrp and try flashing a rom again or restoring a backup.
You need to have a rom or a nand on your internal or external storage. Flash twrp via Odin and immediately go into recovery and flash the new rom or nand. That will get you back and running. Remember, after you flash twrp you need to hold the vol up/power/home buttons as soon as you hear the disconnect sound on your pc. Good Luck!

If you want CWM why cant you just install ROM manager and install CMW from there? CWM should install and replace TWRP with CWM.
Edit: and if that doesn't work I posted a link to MDK stock restore method in this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49349378 Hope this helps.

If you have an MDK version with custom recovery and 4.3 installed then yes it will bring it back to MDK stock unrooted wiped. I've used it a couple times to get a clean start and rerooted.

Try using Flashify from the Play Store to flash a recovery. For some reason there's been issues with ROM Manager and many have gotten by this by using Flashify from what I've seen.
ROM manager may not be Lokifying the recovery or something I'm not entirely sure. Something going on there though
