CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Hey guys i have a problem i downliaded the rom jyst fine but i cant download the karnel, mediafire is asking me to authorize download and the bar is blank i cant authorize it on my phone and i dont have a pc, please help :'(
EDIT: never mind guys, i downloaded mediafire downloader from play store and clicked on the download link and i went open with mf downloader and downloaded the karnel just fine
Btw i flashed v10 baseband with cwm and rebooted then installed the rom and karnel. Works like a charm.
The memory usage is 87% moast of the time and when cleard goes down to 82% but it seams that it has no effect on this rom.
It works awesome so far, hope you put more work in to it and keep it on 4.1.2 you did a great job with this rom, im gonna stick with it for now.

yes i agree im happy with this rom (very happy) just it has the same problem as the stock rom, i have greenify installed but i get FC some times, i use 360 security on all phones, the ROM seams to be using 80% to 87% memory. Wich makes some large apps FC some times.
Tho the rom is all it seas, super fast, super bat, super super smooth, soper power.
All id zike to see is memory down at 50% and maybe the notification bar acssesable on all apps like on stock 4.1.2 or kit kat.

Aroma Gapps work, FM works too, all in all it works just great!
Just don't forget to install Superuser and change "Root access" in the developer options else you won't be able to give apps root access

yes, install is always same, wipe data&cache and install zip. every rom zip formats system, so you dont need wipe system too. i also not recommend wipe system.

Some more things that people might wonder/or not..
- GPS does not work (any workarounds?)
- Photosphere: the one posted on the slimroms homepage doesn't work, however this one on xda works http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2116851
- WIFI seems to be dropping quite often in quite irregular intervals. Haven't had that with other custom roms yet.
Tried it and went back to "CARBON-JB-UNOFFICIAL-20131009-1902-serranoltexx.zip" in less than an hour. I simply did not find a reason to chose slim over carbon. Carbon rom is just so perfect :good::good: Setting layout in carbon is hands down 10x more intuitive. Moreover I noticed that battery drained much faster in heavy use with slim rom in comparison to carbon.

Sure man . I meant no harm. I even donated additional amount to arco68 to show my gratitude for supporting S4 mini LTE. I was not even addressing issues that do not work. Carbon just feels more intuitive and easy to me, and this introduces no over the top features that I need, but its just me .

Only thing I see wrong so far is that theme chooser preview is blacked out for downloaded themes and it does not apply the theme. I get a ui fc. Can anyone else confirm? I can give a log tomorrow if it hasn't been fixed. Other wise works great. Also this was the problem on the gnex when mokee merged 4.2 I think. If that helps too.

nice. thanks for the update. hopefully more bugs disappear in later builds. that should take a few months though. I noticed that they're starting to release Android updates more often
do we have to flash ICS ftf like LXP? currently using LXP so do i have to do go through it again? and what about camera video recording? is it working?

the only thing which is not cool about this rom is the battery life ......
with data off and wifi off ...batterry can easily last for two days
but with either one on sync and location off battery drain is pretty high ....device nevers goes to deep sleep ...battery hardly last for 7 8 hours with 1 hour of screen time ..
except that everything is running smoothly and perfectly fine ...i use opera mini and its working perfectly fine ...i do not shoot videos so that thing doesnt bug me that much ....
and i checked with better battery stats ...when wifi is on ...there are rx_wakelocks and when data is on there are power manager wakelocks which are keeping device awake for the whole time ..
i have tried everything ....i alwys do a fresh install only restore one or two games using titanium ...expect that everything is downloaded from play store ..
Big ups to developer community for this wonderful rom ...love you guys
Kitkat is the rom for our device....i'm these things will get better with time ...keep rocking ...THNxxx
Works fine on Xperia ray ST18i till now...testing mode still but smooth and everyday usefull..... checking battery off course thats a big issue always, the batterylife.....
As for me,im alws on batry save mode

Android 4.4+ KitKat ROM built from CyanogenMod v11.0 source with lots of custom additions
The credit for the idea behind this project goes to DerTeufel1980, with additions from ThdDude, ad Cl3kener compiled using the Linaro-4.8.2 Toolchain for a super optimized build. Lots of tweaks under the hood for snappy response, great battery life, and the ultimate in customability. Over the next few weeks the ROM will evolve and lots of additions will be made. I plan on updating and maintaining this project so expect good things, as the ones of you who know me, know I'm all about getting you what you want...I hope you will join me on this journey to hell....

First of all a big thanks to @Abhinav2 for bringing this rom to our devices.!
I loved the overall UI of the OS which is certainly better than the vanilla look.
The rom is fairly stable for an Alpha build and have almost all things working as are in CM 11 builds.
Hellkat is amazed me for the amount of customization it offers.
I was surprised to see customization regarding init.d and build.prop tweaks...!!:good:
Hoping for a continued support for this promising rom..!!!
Keep up the good work. :good:
wow, such a nice rom! i like it.

Rom is working great. I'm a fan of blue so it's heartbreaking that this rom is all red.
But the features that this rom offers and the insane speed makes me stay with this rom, no doubt.

What is the difference between AOSP and AOSX ?
We have integrated the follow features in AOSP :
BlueZ bluetooth stack
CyanogenMod's SuperUser
CyanogenMod's File Manager
CyanogenMod's BusyBox
OmniROM's Torch
OmniROM Recovery (TWRP)
OmniROM Music Player (Apollo)
OmniROM Equalizer (DSP Manager)
Google Play Store
Linaro 4.10 toolchain
Bugfixes
plus some hardware and development stuff. For more information check our local_manifest.xml.
Why don't you keep it pure AOSP ?
Because our goal is to provide a user friendly and clean ROM. We chose these applications because they are opensource and advertisement free.
I do not like some pre-installed applications, how I can delete them ?
If you do not like them, just uninstall them with a rooted uninstaller like Root Uninstaller.
Feature X is not working or applications Y is force closed, what can I do ?
Usually this kind of problem is due to dirty installation. Please wipe data, cache and dalvik cache.
I found a bug. How do I report it ?
Create a bug report on Bug Tracker and remember to attach a logcat, otherwise your report will be ignored. Also try to attach the log of only the relevant part.
Woohoo!

Wow, awesome! Pure Android!
Congrats to the team... and waiting for the new build with new changes to test....
I've downloaded this rom as it was released, too important to go to sleep . I want to share my first impression on this first morning with this rom. I installed all my apps, some of that restored with TB. The total usability and smoothness is astonishing, i've never see my sola go faster than this. It's even more amazing if you think that this V0 is marked as Alpha by the dev team. The only thing i changed was the system/etc/apns-conf.xml from Git that was updated after this build,in order to have my APN ready since the first boot.
I'm addicted to some CM features, so i installed GravityBox for KitKat and it's going all good as it hooks perfectly with this splendid AOSP
By the way, during the flashing procedure, i faced some problem on the new TWPR...The screen auto lock timeout setting is not working as expected, so you have to be very fast selecting the zip to flash (Sorry Devs, i tried to get a log out of that but i didn't make it ). Anyway, beside the GPS "bug", this rom is amazing!
Thanks Devs!
