I was trying to turn my phone into GPe. I did TWCP to get insertcoin onto my phone and unlocked bootloader. At some point I wanted to turn S-OFF, but couldn't with firewater (and didn't want to pay for Sunshine), so I was trying to go back to stock. I used a toolkit I found and relocked the bootloader. No OS on device, now I'm here. Everything I try bring me immediately back to this screen. My PC won't recognize my device. Makes the sound like the USB is plugged in, but when I type "adb devices", it can't find my phone. I learned everything I tryed in the past 2-3 days from videos on Youtube, so I need to be spoken to in the simplest terms possible. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated. From this info, I hope someone can tell me I didn't just brick my phone.
Thanks in advance for all the help.
P.S. I tried using "Spookey" but didn't work on my PC.

Did you restore the stock ROM and recovery before relocking the bootloader? If not, this is what happens. You should be able to unlock the bootloader again with the same code as before. Then, I suggest you just leave it unlocked. If for some reason you do want to relock it, you have to restore it to stock first.

I believe you can ruu stock being S-ON and locked but it must match what you have above

What screen do you get when you restart and hold power down? I mean is that the screen you are seeing? If so, get into fastboot and see if the phone is recognized. From there, if you can get there, it's not too hard.

Why did you relock the bootloader? RUU should be the only reason.
Try to re-install HTC Sync. Or if adb still can't see the device, try to uninstall HTC Sync and HTC drivers. Connect the phone, go do Windows Device Manager, find the device, and choose the option to manually select the drivers. Then pick the generic Android MTP drivers.

You didn't brick the phone. If the screen comes on, it can be recovered.
But you can't do much at this point without adb/fastboot; so the priority is getting that working again.
Did you try fastboot devices? Sometimes fastboot works when adb doesn't. And fastboot is what you want to unlock the bootloader again.

From your other posts, it looks like you have the HTC One Max? If so, this is the wrong device forum section, and I can't help you.

help?

I have searched and found some answers but jumping around from post to post isn't helping me at all. I already rooted and flashed adrenaline rom to my phone. Yesterday i downloaded a rom and tried to flash it via the phone. now im stuck on the white HTC screen and i cant get off it. i cant install any rom and dont know what to do. i cant access any any backup rom.
Can anyone help Thanks
More details please. S-ON? Bootloader lock status? Firmware version? What rom were you trying to flash?
can you boot into hboot manually by pulling battery > putting the battery back in >holding the volume down button + power? This should boot you back to hboot. Once in hboot you should be able to access your recovery and wipe flash etc.

are you s-on or s-off also what firmware are you on? I assume you're on ics to have been able to boot adrenaline successfully.

If i choose the recovery it reboots and sits on a black screen and will not let me into the recovery

sounds like your boot.img is not being flashed. Since you are s-on you have to do that. I'm not sure if the roms you have tried to flash do that automatically or not but take a closer look at how it is supposed to be flashed. In the old days the rom would create a ph98img.zip file and you would flash it in bootloader...OR you would use fastboot flash boot boot.img to accomplish the same thing. Make sure you are wiping before flashing.

if you are still s-on you will need to flash the kernel for the rom, the installer wont do it for you. what ever rom you are using, please download the correct kernel.

Restore to Stock - Remove Root and Relock Bootloader

Hey all, I am thinking about selling my HOX+ and the buyer doesn't want the phone rooted for warranty purposes. Is there a way for me to remove root and restore everything to stock? Thanks in advance!
Please reboot in bootloader and tell me your hboot version and confirm AT&T/TELUS version.
I see HBOOT version but not the AT&T/Telus version.

Sure, this is the confirmation.
You need this RUU for your AT&T
Reboot in bootloader mode
Plug in your USB cable
Open a adb command window
At the prompt type>fastboot oem lock
Your phone will reboot.
Again in bootloader mode with FASTBOOT USB highlighted simply run the RUU downloaded
Your phone will be completely wiped including SD card.
What exactly is the RUU? What does it do?
Also, once I do that, how do I get the stock ROM back on it?
Also, once I get back to stock recovery how do I get back to bootloader?
RUU = ROM Update Utility
This will update and restore your phone to it's original state including boot, recovery, rom, etc. Your phone will be exactly like it was the first time you press the Power button.
To access Bootloader simply hold your Volume down rocker and press Power button.
I ran the RUU a few times and it has been stuck on the "Verifying information on your Android phone. Please wait ..." screen for a long time. How long does the RUU run?
I am running win7 from a virtual machine. Not sure if that makes a difference. But the RUU didn't seem to work. Do you have a MD5 for the RUU file you posted?
Would that work if you registered your phone on htcdev.com? Warranty will be void if you unlocked your device, it doesn't matter if its locked again.

Yes maybe the VM can be a problem, I will do search about this. One thing I know. some people says the needed many try before it worked.
MD5 : 3B951A3195E60712A62A4DB6AC181CC7
You can try this one if you want an alternative : RUU_EVITARE_UL_JB_45_Cingular_US
Thanks. What's the difference between the two exe files?
They are the same, only the source is different. Since I am having an TELUS phone I can't test if any of those files are working so I gave you two different source to download the file just "in case..."
In bootloader it will state re-locked after locking bootloader again so its not possible to get back all stock again.

[HELP] My HTC Flyer is S-ON & HBOOT -1.11.0011 shows security warning

Dear All,
I have HTC Flyer with updated by ruu_flyer_hc_s_htc_asia_wwe_3.60.707.4_radio_20.4801.30.0822u_3822.10.08.0
Recently I had unlock the boot loader as per the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44468509
and restore recovery.img (CMW 6.xx).
I had install the boot.img from Cool3D-Honey-v6-Flyer.zip and reboot recovery then Install Cool3D-Honey-v6-Flyer Successfully. it works fine.
Now, I try to install another rom RUU_Flyer_HC_S_hTC_Asia_TW_3.60.709.4_Radio_20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.08.07_M_release_236665_signed. it request to relocked my device. So i did change into relocked (c:\fastboot>fostboot oem relock). Still Unable load. So finnaly I try out via SD card copy the rom.zip and renamed "PG41IMG.zip". it loaded but half way terminated then the following error shows

While i plug into charge my HTC Flyer. it resume to do the same reboot
Please help me to fix this issue
Thank You all
Kathir
Same just happened to me but I am fixed now!!!
Hi, I have just had EXACTLY the same thing happen to my Flyer and I mean exactly the same!
My Flyer would charge but booted to bootloader when I plugged it in.
The only way I was able to fix it was by going to "shipped-roms" and downloading my relevant RUU and it was an .EXE not a .ZIP
and running the program from my PC with my Flyer plugged in to it.
When it downloads you just extract the files and click on the .exe and it runs an installer program where you just follow prompts.
I had a few attempts where it wasn't the correct RUU (I followed a guide on here) and it failed half way through, so make sure you have the correct RUU
It's good that you have "Relocked" the bootloader as the RUU wont install otherwise.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck!!

I forgot to say, you may already know you need to have a decent charge in your Flyer before installing the RUU so if its only charging when in bootloader (like mine was) I would wait a while and get some charge in it.

[Q] Stuck in fastboot, please help.

I was trying to unroot my phone and return to stock HTC Sense because I was having issues with the latest cyanogenmod and didn't want to deal with it anymore while I waited for the Samsung Galaxy note 4 to come out. After reading several tutorials I downloaded the latest Cingular RUU from a link on another thread here. I connected my phone through fastboot and ran "fastboot oem lock". After that when I ran the RUU it made it to where it begins the process and after the process started it gave me "error 158: image error". It's now stuck in fastboot and I can't find a way to get out of it, I've only ever installed custom roms through custom recovery so any concepts you say to try will probably be new to me so link to a tutorial or something. (I did try two RUUs from two different sources).

You have a very old hboot 1.44
you need to flash an old RUU first then a more recent one.
after the first RUU you should consider getting the phone s-off as it gets harder with the newer 1.57 hboot
http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_...13_10.38j.1157.04_release_334235_signed_2.exe
After you flash that your phone will try to update to 4.xx.502.x
if you want s-off don't take the update, instead unlock the bootloader and flash a custom rom and bulletproof kernel and get s-off with rumrunner or firewater
This worked thank you, you're awesome.

I know it's 2016 but I need to get my Rezound back as close to stock as possible.

Hi All. I'm sorry to ask this question again but I've been to the other threads and they are pretty old and I'm finding some of the links are not working and I don't want to start until I have everything I need.
I've had my Rezound for many many years and it's time to move on so I need to get this thing back to lookin like I never tampered with it. If someone could point me to a thread that works or help with this that would be most appreciated.

I think, you must unlock bootloader first here (your phone is s-off now). Video on youtube (see untill flash custom recovery)
Then see here: How to remove your "tampered" banner.
Video on youtube from 10:48
After lock the bootloader: from fastboot "fastboot oem lock" (command without ".") and flash stock rom
Finaly your phone will have the status: relocked, s-off, stock rom.
Thanks g-ray666. That worked just fine although the link for the latest RUU never worked. I found an older version which is fine. Is there any way to get S-on?
