I know I've seen a few cases out there that allow access to the keyboard while still on. Would people post links to the ones you know of? I'm guessing that I'm not the only one looking for this, so this would be a helpful thread for lots of people.
There are many of them posted here.
there are threads about cases, but not specifically one with keyboard access. Rather than search through the other threads and look at lots of holsters cases that don't apply, I thought it would be good to centralize. That's why I made another thread. If I'm wrong, I'm sorry but I thought it a valid topic.
Try Boxwave

Boxwave has a clear plastic case and one of those metal monstrosities that was so popular a couple years ago. I also saw some on Ebay but apparently there has been problems with them cracking in the front. They are dirt cheap though. The Boxwave cases are like 30 bucks. Krusell makes the Orbit Flex if you like a leather case. I have had their cases and like them but after dropping my phone when a multi adapt clip split, never went back. Very good warranty though.
Proporta do a flip case with aluminum in the lid to protect the screen. Clove technology also stock the same one. looks good

For those interested, I contacted Trident to ask wether they intended to manufacture some of their excellent cases for the Nexus 6, and unfortunately, they told me it wasn't part of their plans.
Of course, they gave me the usual yadi yada about forwarding the idea to their development team, and told me to check about future products to be sure. Though it's a polite way of telling things, it probably means they won't be making anything...
And that's the part that worries me most about this phone. I need a rugged case, and by that, I noticeably mean something with port covers, to at least protect the jack and USB from dust. So a Spigen case won't do.
I really like the size of the phone, my money is more than ready to be spent on a black 64GB version, I'm not really interested in any other model of phone on the market, but without a properly rugged case (at least something like a Trident Aegis : soft cushion wrap, maintained by hard plastic, and with ports covers), that won't happen...
well imho the whole point of a trident case was their Kraken AMS line. With the nexus 6 having a 6 inch screen and being 1 cm thick, the Kraken AMS would add too much bulk, making the already "big enough" nexus 6 way too big.
Their Aegis is cool too: basically the same thing to the Kraken AMS as Otterbox Commuter is to the Defender.
found the case
Looks to be from a wholesaler or the manufacturer?
I still can't post full links so bear with me,
tessco com/products/displayProductInfo.do?sku=539678
Honestly, I'm not too thrilled about it as I thought I would be. What do you guys think? I'm thinking of going with one of the Rignke models.
Ringke max ^
Can't wait for mine.
N6
I have been in contact with them. They are supposedly going to have the aegis case ready by first of this year but no plans for the kraken. Even tho the kraken adds bulk I'd still like to have one. I have the kraken on my old s4
Interesting : thanks for the update, msd24200 :good:
Your most welcome, yeah I've been a fan of their cases for a couple of years now! Was really hoping for the kraken for this phone, I'm not worried about the added bulk!
Here is a screen shot of her reply to my email asking if they had plans on making a case for the N6
Great: I was actually just checking this thread back, and realizing my brain hard shorted the "first of this year" into "quite soon"... and was wondering if you had forgotten a word, or if "first of this year" was an idiomatic English expression I did not know (well, maybe it is).
First month of the year for a(n imho) properly rugged case is fine by me: it really renews my interest for the phone!
Has anyone seen any decent protective cases with a folding front cover? the slimmer the better, but don't want to sacrifice protection.
EDIT:
Now on the google play store

I'm keeping an eye on this company:
http://www.zenuscase.net/
They look expensive but you can usually get them on Amazon for cheaper. They've made flip cases for the last 3 Nexuses. I had one for my old Galaxy Note and it was great.

I've seen one on Amazon for future sale, but the picture is not even updated (shows a nexus 5) so no point in posting for now...

I kinda like this one that is available for the S5, just need them to make one for the Nexus 6

I also like Zenus and highly recommend them. I have had one for the Note 2 now for 2 years and have gotten many comments about how nice it is. I have asked them if they will be making one but they have not responded to my email now a couple of times.

nexus 6 slimmest wallet
good news - my wallet case arrived today for the nexus 6
I brought it from a website called casebase and it was delivered to me in 4 days. I believe they are available on amazon as well but i emailed the company directly as i was in a hurry and wanted them to confirm they could send it straightaway as i wanted something with a stand for a plane journey
Its probably as slim as you can go on a wallet case (trust me its slim)
you can close the flap on the front and still carry on talking on the phone
it has a stand function as well
I dont know how to describe the material but it looks really expensive
Id give this case a 11 out of 10
I have no idea why there is no hype about them on this forum as everywhere i go all i see is spigen/ringke/orzly/caseology and these guys are still taking pre orders which is a pathetic if they are the market leaders
great video on youtube which im not allowed to post but just type in nexus 6 casebase wallet case
good luck and i hope this helps.
exactly the same as the $30 case
ok i just opened the above link on the google play store
to me it looks like the casebase wallet case i received is identical to the case advertised on the play store called :-

Does this case have a wake/sleep function with magnet? And does it drain the battery?
I bought a Encase Genuine case for the Nexus 6 from England. It is beautiful leather and is a perfect design. I am not sure if I can put an address on here but here it is if anyone is interested.
MobileFun.com. It took a couple of weeks to get here but it was worth the wait.
I will try to put some pictures on here.
Post a pic man
The three cases that have caught my attention..
1. Official OnePlus nylon bumper case.
2. Rhinoshield solidsuit
3. Tech 21 case
Obviously for overall protection the most important how it looks and feels in the hand. Recommendations & opinions welcome thank you

I have the Rhinoshield and like it. Mine is the carbon fibre, and it has at least a little grip. I can't comment on the other one. The only issue that I have with it is that occasionally when I put it in my pocket it slides the alert slider up to silent or vibrate.
No major drops, but the case has protected the phone from the few small drops it has taken. Most out of my shirt pocket when I've bent down to pick something up.
Do you have any issues with the case being alittle loose or tight fit? Are you using a TGSP.? If so which one?
Thanks
Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
I have the Rhinoshield case also. I have dropped it a few times and the phone has survived without any marks or scuffs. I dropped it about 1m onto a concrete floor and the phone was fine. The case has a few marks from wear and tear but it's done what it was designed for and protected the phone. I would say the case had a very tight fit. It's to the extent that it is difficult to remove the phone from the case when I want to clean the phone for example. I am using a TGSP with, but mine is not all the way to the edges of the phone so works without issue with the Rhinoshield case.
Tech 21 -
I was using it for probably about a week before I switched back to the factory provided one. The feeling is like holding a brick but you get grip. Which is lovely and all but the major loss of using the Tech21 is the slider use. I use my slider on a day to day basis. The Tech21 causes the bulge to be just to spacious to slide it up or down with ease.
Thanks for the replies yall. Last question guys, please someone just give me straight answer on the screen protector there is no solid answer anywhere.
Puregear, official OnePlus or one of the many Amazon brands like I'm omotion? Thanks

Leaning toward Blue tech 21 and the official Karbon fiber bumper case..
Tmobile has Blue tech 21 for
$19.97 & Black $39.99
Good deal on the Official oneplus 6t Karbon Bumper $19.97.
Best answer on TGSP compadable with both cases. Thanks

I used the omoton TGSP with my Rhinoshield case. No issues at all.... Well, except for the dust that seems to collect between the small gap around the edge between the side of case and the screen protector.

oh yes...so much dust between the small gap,i really hate that
i tried 5 differents cases, the best one imao, Tudia Merge Case. i also love the official OnePlus provided with the fphone, but i don't like transparent colour. Official one has the better grip when you have it in your hand
only concern like we said..the dust gathering in the small gap around the edge. Unfortunately, 100% covering TGSP seems to not be so compatible with all cases i own.
i tried the Omoton, i also purchased the spigen TGSP, i'll try if it fit with the Spigen Tough Armor or other cases
