I would just enjoy the phone for now and wait. There is confirmation on unlocking the boot and getting root if this is true which it seems to be there is not much we can do with it until our devs start cooking home made goodies. The only reason I would be anxious to root is for tethering but there are apps that will give you tether without rooting in the play store.
I'm not an addict I just flash a lot.
Yea, I'm unlocked and rooted. I wanna flash something !!!! Lol

I'm 99% sure it will work. 100% of the internals are the same except for the bands on the radio, which are just a matter of changing the APN. Go ahead and do it for us

According to this thread here they have the same product model code. I don't see why you couldn't. Though I understand you don't want to ruin the device so soon being the first to try on the AT&T variant.

You have to adb and download the android developers tools from the adroid Dev website... If you already have that the go to the international HTC One forum and there is a thread that had the link to how to do it

it does not break lte or 4g but once you chane your cid the icons will change. it will be 3g= regular 4g
h = hspa+ and lte = lte obviously
but you need to change your mid and cid using adb in order to get direct updates. there is a forum somewhere but i can't find it now...

I too would like to know this....but only for the fact that i dont want issues. Im using a tmobile htc one on att unlocked.
No clue which bands do what on T-Mobile, but yeah I've seen it switch from 2g, to 3g, to HSPA+, and to LTE so I'm assuming I maintained all bands. I did however have to flash the T-Mobile radio after converting to the developer edition to be able to pick up LTE.

Im assuming you mean LTE for T-Mobile...right? Also you did this so you can get OTAs from HTC? Besides that, what other advantages are there?
Yeah T-Mobile LTE. There are no other reasons besides no longer having to wait on T-Mobile to approve updates. If it's taking HTC this long to officially release 4.2.2, imagine how long it'll take carriers to do all their testing of the finalized OTA once it's sent to them. I'd like to believe T-Mobile has been testing 4.2.2 for several weeks though. I don't know what the hold up is on the HTC side.

I want to check plans for http://goo.gl/eVXlh and i have to choose between GSM and CDMA. If i choose GSM i have to choose t-mobile or att sim card.
Can i choose CDMA and register (unlocked i9300 ) for being in Verizon?

the i9300 is GSM only. No CDMA.
THX.
I have one more Q ( dont want to create another thread )
Im around 3yrs with simple mobile and after 3 yrs everything can be changed. Which servis ( and if you knoe the deal ) is the best for my unlocked i9300 att or t-mobile ? if cant go with verizon.
I want to have $50 or less per month and unlimited everything.
Like i said i found http://goo.gl/nfXnij and have to choose att or tmobile sim card. I can go also with family 2 lines.
Also what about verizon http://goo.gl/CbS0r ??
Which deal and service is the best today ?
Does the i9300 work on both? Compare att frequencies and t-mobile with i9300.
Would you not be better getting a t-mobile version or att version?
Can't help with plans. Remember, the i9300 isn't sold officially in the US so most of us are not Americans

Well ... good to know
You will only get 3G on AT&T, unless you're in one of the areas that T-Mobile has started adding their new frequency towers in. So you're best bet is AT&T. I'm American. And use my I9300 on AT&T fine.

Everything is same to i9300 except only GSM and CDMA (someone says can be able to use WCDMA while outside the Chinese territory and roaming, but I think it's highly unlikely )

Any chance to get https://www.pagepluscellular.com/ on my phone? I ask pageplus on FB but i have answer like " only if u have flashed " ?
Also this is answer from thier lifechat :
***
We cannot determine if a specific make & model will or will not work with Page
Plus. In general, you can use any unlocked, Verizon-compatible, CDMA phone on
our network.
If the handset is not an approved Page Plus Cellular device, we cannot
guarantee that web access or picture messaging will work properly on the phone.
We do not have any server information to provide if the device is not an
approved Page Plus phone.
Should you activate any non-approved Page Plus phone on our system we can
provide you with our basic programming sequence, but once more we cannot
guarantee the programming of the device will be successful, nor will we have a
way of telling you exactly why a phone will not work with Page Plus. We can
provide troubleshooting for most Page Plus approved devices. If the device you
are trying to activate is not an approved Page Plus device, troubleshooting may
be limited to the information we have available.

you may have enough to go with that. I personally am not familiar with rooting and such. I can flash devices, but not into all the extra things you can do with them. Send me a PM via FB and I will try to explain some of the things you need and we can go from there.

I don't know what you're asking. There is nothing that rooting or flashing can do to change the hardware of an i9300 to CDMA.

Yes .. sorry i was in rush.
So one more time. I asked about unlocked i9300 ill work with pageplus. He answer "Only if you have it flashed". So i told him i have rooted phone and change ROM often and is this enought or i need something else like program or setup. And he answer "you may have enough to go with that. I personally am not familiar with rooting and such. I can flash devices, but not into all the extra things you can do with them. But you already answered this and i trust you more then him.
You can never use an i9300 on verizon as CDMA. You have to use it as GSM. Im not sure who page plus are it what they offer in gsm. You'd need to compare their gsm frequency bands with the i9300.

(GPe, HTC Unlocked, HTC Developer)
I got regular AT&T version. Amber gold.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
GPe is stock vanilla android. It is running what the nexus devices would run without Sense software on top of it.
The Dev model is basically the same as carrier models except it is SIM unlocked and you already have unrestricted access to the phone to develop or flash roms. Still has sense on it.
Good thing about having the M8 on at&t means we can easily turn our carrier versions into a developer version or GPe.

with soff, it doesn't matter which one you get. You can unlock the phone and once ruu's become available, you can truly convert to any variant. I would not convert to gpe because of partition size. Just flash gpe roms if you want to use it.

Once the sense RUU become available moving back to sense won't be an issue as the RUU will restore the sense partition size.
I purchased the developer edition because I was not due for an upgrade and it was the same price at the time. I also like the fact that it is not branded. All I had to do was flash recovery, super user and then S-Off. It won't be long until a ruu and fuu becomes available. Along with a recovery switcher that is in the works.

GPE is stock Android and will receive updates ASAP (the M7 GPE got 4.4 10 days after release)
HTC Unlock is just sim free. Use it on any GSM network.
HTC Developer editor has the bootloader unlocked from the factory and doesn't void your warranty if you root etc. It's also sim unlock
I have a AT&T branded M8 because I knew it would be dev friendly and I can easily convert to GPE if wanted. Plus I don't plan on leaving AT&T anytime soon so sim unlock isn't important to me. I can always unlock it myself later
Sent from my unknown using Tapatalk
I picked up the ATT branded version because I was eligible for Next so it was convenient. I'll probably pay it off soon anyway. So far I'm pretty happy with my purchase.
I picked up an at&t model and just s-off'ed the device so when the dev ruu drops I will convert to that

More than I ,I hope .
Why do we have a Radio collection for different Models/CID if flashing them makes no difference ?
Could it be simply placebo ?
As it seems with the M8, the radios were pretty much the same with 4.4.4(same version numbers), the differences were with the software. The euro and developer builds had same version build numbers but the configs and software were the contributing dif's and what were causing the issues with ATT users and the new LTE configs being used by ATT.

I having same problem as OP I flashed different radios and made no difference.
