Anyone have a Nexus 6 and one of these? I'm curious how much a full charge nets you on the Nexus 6 battery and if there is quick charge support or hit when using the quick charging feature?
It doesn't support quick charge. You can look at Qualcomms website to see the approved quick charge devices and battery packs

Hi.
Not to take into consideration external after-market extended batteries and so on, which Android device has the best (longer-lasting) battery?
I am not asking which battery has more juice. I am asking which device will give me the longest talk/text/web on time.
I know this question is very broad, but still - would like to know where to aim, since I am looking to get an android phone for my wife.
NOTE: SIM-CARD based phones!
we are on T-MOBILE
THANK YOU
Galaxy Note with cheap "5000 mah" extended battery will give maybe 5 days light phone use or 7 hours intense web use. So 36 hours between charge is realistic.
Its big but you love it for its big screen once you get used to it.

Out of the box. Nexus 7 beats sgs3. So nexus 7 has best battery. But I guess upcoming, droid RAZR maxx will be best.
Xperia S has a decent battery life
razr maxx??? it has 3000+mA right??
I don't know if it is unique to my Nexus 10 but I've observed that it charges much faster if it is on (not turned off) during the charging process. I've verified this with the provided charger as well as with several others. All the chargers had at least 2.0 amp capacity. I use a Pogo cable normally but this is also the case with the micro USB socket.
This seems to be counter intuitive but it's certainly true with my Nexus 10. Currently it is running Android 4.4.4.

I almost always charge while powered off because it makes sense that it would be faster. It always seems to take FOREVER! Now that I've read this I think I'm going to have to time it and see which way wins.

I'd be most interested to see if you find the same thing I did. Frankly, what I observed seens counter to everything I've ever read about this. Thanks.

Hi,
It does indeed charge faster, but when charging while it's off it seems to solve some problems with battery calibration and battery last longer .

Hi,
Nexus 10 has a 9,000mAh battery, while Nexus 7 (2013) has an almost 4,000mAh and Nexus 7 more or less 4,350mAh, that's why there's a big difference between the charging times.

Definitely not what I have seen in my usage. Sometimes when I am playing a game on my Nexus 10 while it is plugged in, the battery percent drops, albeit slowly...
Yeah, games suck a lot of juice, especially with high brightness. The device is sucking more juice than can be replaced by the charger

My Nexus 6 arrives on Wednesday, but I'm already dreading battery performance. My Droid Turbo review unit was sometimes dead by 5 p.m., and the battery on the Nexus is smaller. While I'm hoping battery performance is better with Lollipop on Nexus than KitKat on the Turbo, I doubt it'll be another 5 or 7 hours better.
The point of a battery is to *not* plug the phone in during the day, so an external battery is a non-starter.
I've heard ZeroLemon isn't even considering building a battery case for the Nexus 6. Has anyone heard of another company with plans in the works to help the Nexus 6 get through the day?

Mugen is working on a case. I asked mugen cus. Seevice
Not to be a jerk or anything, but what's the difference between a battery case and am external battery to you? They both plug into the device and there are some really swell ones that are not only battery packs but NAS as well for extra storage and even router capabilities. For me (I have a 32 GB) that's much more useful. There are a lot of good ones on Amazon right now.

Ok so this is a quick review of a desktop usb charger that I've been using for the past week.
The device is the Choetech Multi Port Desktop Charger.
So I figure I would get to point first then going further into details
THE BOTTOM LINE:
This device is not for everyone, but if it is for you, you'll love it with a personal rating of 4.5/5.0
Pros
The device is light weight and easy to travel with.
The device have a total of 6 charging ports 2 of which support Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 .
The device have a real nice matte finish.
and my favorite, the device ports are all real nice and snug, so there is no chance of accidental unplugging.
Cons
Unfortunately, the only major con I found with it was the price.
**As an after thought** It would have been nice if the auto detect tech work on all 6 ports not just standard ports. (If my understanding if correct)
Performance?
The device have a total of 6 ports with an output of 5V/9V/12V with the 12V being reserved for only the 2 quick charge port. The 4 standard ports on the device boast Choetech "Auto Detect" Technology meaning that it can automatically detect the max voltage for your device and output accordingly.
But if you're buying this device for it's QC technology you're probably more interested in the how well it perform compared to other quick chargers?
For my testing I used my Nexus 6 with CleanRom, and the stock usb cable that came with the phone, I also compared the Choetech device against the stock adapter that came with my Nexus 6.
To ensure a fair and relatively accurate results I followed the following procedures for both chargers 3 times to ensure no unusual data.
I drained my phone completely until it auto shut off, charged the device for exactly 30 seconds to ensure enough power to turn the device on.
I then place my phone in airplane mode and cleared all recently used apps.
I used the Playstore app Battery Monitor Widget in order to take a min by min reading of the charging process.
Finally I charged the device for exactly 10 mins (I went with 10 mins because the purpose of Qualcomm QC technology is to get as much juice in the least amount of time)
Results?
Unfortunately, the stock charge narrowly beat out the Choetech by an average of 1% for a ten minute charge(Choetecht charged 13% in 10 mins the stock 14% all three times the test was conducted), however Choetech beat the stock charger with an average of 2-3 degree Celsius less battery temp during that 10 min charge times (I think this is a bit more important considering the narrow gap in percentage charge considering the fact that battery temp have a direct effect on the lifespan of batteries.) Also if you care both the Choetech and stock charger took just under 2hrs 15min for a complete charge.
Usefulness?
This is why this device is not for everyone. Choetech market the device as a replacement phone charger, which if you intend to use it solely for that purpose and you only have 1 phone in your possession, there is no justification for purchasing this device.
However, if you're like me and you have several a bunch of peripherals like that doesn't require a data connection then this is perfect for you. Another example where I've personally used it in the past week was when I had guest over instead of everyone trying to find an outlet to plug there phones up I just plug this device in a central location that everyone could easily access... My wife have the S6 Edge and now we both can use QC tech at the same time without her annoying unplugging my phone , and finally I had a FTX with my Army Reserve Unit this week as well, and if you every had to sleep in a tent with 20 other people then you know how scarce an outlet is to charge your phone... but with this 6 people were able to charge up at any giving time.
Conclusion
So there you have my complete review of the Choetech Desktop Charger. Decided for yourself if its something for or not. Also keep in mind that your miles may vary as no 2 device is the same even if they were constructed the same.
If you like a video review to accompany this writing review just let me know
Bought two of these. It's just okay
Once the Nexus 6 reaches ~70% the Quick Charge port refuses to charge my Nexus 6 anymore. If I move it to one of the other 4 ports it will keep charging.

Sorry but can't say I experience the same issue. I was able to fully charge my Nexus 6 with the qc ports. My wife is also able to fully charge her S6E as well, but like i said "your miles may vary"

lol better?
Love this.. I have 2. 1 on my desk and one in my suit case for travel. It saves space and plugs and charged all my. Devices quickly. Was excited to try it again given the 1st time I purchased one, the device short circuited and never worked again. Since I liked the idea of what the product represented, I bought it again.
Fyi....there is a deal currently...http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/0...rt-usb-charger-for-17-after-a-7-off-coupon/#1
Meh.
I recently got a ZeroLemon battery case for my s20 ultra and wanted to post some feedback for others.
Most important - battery life. I get about 2-3 solid days of battery depending on usage. I average about 5-6hrs screen on time for 3 days. That's with location, Bluetooth, wifi, nfc, aod, smart watch connected at all times. This also includes 3-4hrs a days playing locally stored music and using galaxy buds+. Screen time it's for YouTube and gaming while also browsing forums/sites.
Bulk - this case is bulky, but it's a 8k mAh case. So there's really nothing you can do about size when you have a battery that big. So it's acceptable.
Charging - this doesn't seem to fast charge or even charge using the included 25w charger that comes with the s20 ultra? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
It also doesn't appear to charger with the wireless fast charge duo pad from Samsung. The pad blinks red?
Overall - this is a great battery case for somebody that needs juice for a few days without access to power or heavy gaming sessions on the go. I know this will come in very handy for those weekends I typically have in these situations.
Thanks to ZeroLemon for making this option available to us Samsung owners.

-It should be working. Or you may use other charging cords.

-The battery case supports to be wirelessly charged, please try to check if it is placed on the center part of your charging pad. Just try to adjust its location please.

It works with fast chargers, just not the Samsung 25w. It's on the pad fully. It works with others wireless chargers, just not the fast Samsung wireless chargers.

Okay...it should be the compatibility issue with the Samsung 25W charger and that DUO pad wireless charger.

How can you guys make a case for the two big phones with good battery life and complete exclude the small S20 with the worst battery life?
