[Q] LG L5 II (E460) Error KDZ Update - LG Optimus L3 II, L5 II, L7 II, L9 II

Hi all,
i just started with the KDZ update to recover my bricked phone (i rooted it before begin bricked) so i cant get a normal fix. When it goes for 5% it shows me this error:
- drivers/mstrgen.sys file search fail
I just wanna know if i have to get another program to install the missing file... i'm using windows 8.1
I attached an image file of the error.
Thank you all!

I'd reinstall all lg drivers again, new kzd updater offline version. If that doesen't work maybe you should search google "fix mstrgen.sys windows 8"
I will give you my kzd updater/flasher tomorow.

P769 on V20d showing "Security Error" after ROM flash

The Problem:
Phone stuck on LG logo screen with "Security Error" written underneath.
How I Got Here:
Rooted and installed recovery using apks found in these forums. I successfully restored a CWM backup zip found on these forums. Next, I decided to try flashing a ROM. SuperLuminal gave me a "Status 7" error, but when I checked over the thread, I realized that the P769 was not specifically mentioned as a compatible device. So, I decided to give PACman ROM a try, but got the same error.
I googled "status 7 error" and found a guide for fixing this (removing "assert" line in updater-script line). I was aware of the danger in doing this, but since PACman ROM stated "P769" right there in the title, I gave it a shot. Now I'm stuck with the "security error" screen.
What I tried:
I could no longer get into recovery, so I thought restoring it might be a good idea. I tried to use fastboot using the method described in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2310569). However, I quickly realized that I didn't know how to put the phone into a "download mode" like most other phones I've worked with.
I then tried B2CAPP, but phone couldn't be detected. Went and learned how to get into s/w upgrade mode, ran recovery and got an error message saying "updating is not possible any longer due to a fatal error..."
Next, I tried uninstalling all LG software and rebooting PC. Installed LG PC Suite found here (http://en.kioskea.net/download/download-19186-lg-pc-suite), allowed the program to update to latest version. Then tried to run Emergency Firmware Recovery, which opened a window asking if I want to run LG Mobile Support Tool. I clicked OK and was taken to an app that looked exactly like B2CAPP and gave me the same error as above.
So in conclusion, I can only access two screens: the LG logo security error screen and the s/w upgrade screen. Neither appears to give me access to fastboot/adb nor to LG's recovery tools. Am I permanently bricked or is there a way out of this mess? I've been searching these forums extensively and have tried every method I could find. I'm out of options, so I'm kinda freakin out here. Can anyone please help me figure out what else to try?

Kuma82, I can't thank you enough for your helpful response.
Here's a shortened version of what I did, in case someone out there finds themselves in a tough spot like I was in:
1. Installed OMAP drivers using method described in link above (right-click on device in Device Manager, manually install driver, etc.). Fastboot worked after this
2. Using Lelus' Fastboot, flashed option 6 (load JB xloader and uboot). This gave me an inverted purple LG logo that still said "security error"
3. I think tried to use fastboot to flash the p4_769.img recovery file. No change. Loading up s/w upgrade mode and the LG Mobile support tool (B2CAPP) was no use (stuck at 15%, no connection to phone).
4. Once again, using one of the links above, I downloaded 3 .img files and proceeded to erase uboot, boot and recovery and flashed those .img files instead. When I rebooted the phone, I got the regular LG logo for a second, then a white flash and then a smaller LG logo with "security error"
5. Now, I installed the LG United mobile driver, went into s/w upgrade mode again and ran the Mobile tool. Got the "updating is not possible..." error again
6. Searched for the offline flash fix method and followed it step-by-step, word-for-word. Phone works again!
I'm pretty sure I could have just done steps 1, 4 and 6 and achieved the same result.
Hope this helps someone, and thanks again Kuma82!
I've had this happen to me twice and was able to get out of it really easily. Basically, I just have my desktop set up for offline flashing and my laptop for online. Just popped into S/W update mode and plugged it into the laptop, started the b2c app, clicked on the "recovery phone" option, and went for a snack. Fixed when I came back.
No problem, glad I could help.
Now that you know how to use fastboot, you are pretty much ready for everything.
It took me a couple of tries to get it running.
Use the new root method, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2338816
If you plan on staying on stock, get the cwm for locked bootloader, but first get this busy box http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43395803&postcount=260
Then this cwm

Thank you very much fot your instruction! It really saves my LGP768 from "security error"! I follow 3 steps and it works, GREAT!
Thank you again and this forum too!
Please help! Bricked LGMS769 (P769)
Solved. The LGMobile Support Tool needed to run on a different computer. It worked when I put the phone into SW Update Mode (press up volume key and plug in USB) and then ran the LGMobile Support Tool.
By the way, this is how I got the phone recovered after it was booting to the small LG logo with the "security error" message as mentioned in Step 4 above.

Can't do CSE Flash on LG Optimus L5 II E451G

Hello guys.
I've been trying to do this on my LG Optimus L5 II E451g and it doesn't work. I can do the NORMAL FLASH but it didn't fix my problem so I want to do the CSE FLASH (to do a clean install). But I can't do that one.
Everything goes fine until the third step: "Wait until software extraction is complete..." then after a few seconds it crashes "LGUserCSTool LG Mobile has stopped working".
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate SP1.
I tried different drivers, the old method with the host file automated (says the phone is not connected but it is), LG Update Tool 2014 and KDZ Update but nothing works. This error says the module with trouble is "msvcr100.dll". KDZ file is in the software folder, Windows recognizes the phone when I conect it to enter Download Mode, I installed every Visual C++ package I found, everything seems fine but it doesn't perform the CSE FLASH. It does the NORMAL FLASH so the KDZ is fine.
I'm sick of this. I don't want to buy a new phone. Anybody has any idea???
Regards.
I have EXACTLY the same problem here.
And I can't flash KDZ to at least recover the phone. System got corrupted, so it doesn't boot. Recover doesn't work (just shows the open robot with the exclamation sign). Download Mode works but the tool throws this error.

The unique programmers required for the G5 for BoardDiag to work are not public so forcing your way into 9008 won't get you anywhere.

with 9008 he means qhsusb_bulk. The drivers you will need are from Qualcomm, once BoardDiag files for G5 are public.
were the boarddiag files ever made public?
Facing the Same problem
I am now facing the above mentioned problem. My g5 h850 doesn't do anything and the only sign of life there is when i connect it to my PC and it picks up as Qualcom hs- usb Qdloader 9008 other than that no display no sound from the handset whatsoever tried getting it into download mode but it won't show anything. I installed all the drivers and tried connecting with lg up but it doesn't pick the phone on any com ports. Is my phone completely damaged or can I do something to bring it back to life. Please help someone
qfil with firehose or octoplus may solve your problem

QFIL needs PrimaryGPT_0.bin file through firmware extractor but no matter what stock firmware i extract I get multiple patch files like PrimaryGPT_0.bin, PrimaryGPT_1.bin, PrimaryGPT_2.bin, PrimaryGPT_3.bin .......PrimaryGPT_7.bin and when I try to get them through emmc it won't recognize any of the GPT files. That's the step where I am stuck plus I can't seem to find the mbn file for H850
I have lg v20, I too hardbricked my phone, when I extract any kdz I got 7 gpt files. primarygpt0 to primarygpt06 as you said.
are you sure we only need primargpt0 to flash via qfil? i think we need proper firehose/ programmer file and rawprogram file
Maybe I hard bricked mine:
Flashed with uppercut in download mode but with every KDZ file in UPGRADE mode I tried , after the second lg logo with sound of wellcome, it freeze and reboot over and over, it seems that crushes in infinite bootloop. Is this hard bricked?
no, this is not hardbricked. atleast you can enter into download mode.

LGUP not flashing any ROM in my V10... Phone is without any ROM... NEED HELP...!!!

I was running a MarshMallow update for the last 6 months and suddenly today morning I just decided to flash the "rootedsystemh960a.tot" from one of the forums here at XDA. First it did flashed the ROM using LGUP but then the Phone was stuck with LG LOGO for minutes and then I flashed it again with my stock UAE MM 6.0 ROM. It did work. Then I reflashed again hoping for the ROOTED ROM to work on my phone and ever since LGUP is giving me this error code with a message " lgup error code 0x2000 invalid command response" and it keeps crashing. Now I have tried to switch windows and tried to flash many ROMs and it wont stand a chance. Why this error message is coming? Can anyone of you experts figure this out? Even the COM ports are matching at LGUP and in my DEVICE MANAGER. Please help me. I am stuck with this mobile. ...:crying:
Little info about my phone. It is a UAE/DUBAI Variant of LG V10 - H960A, and officially I am not allowed to unlock my BOOTLOADER by the LGE itself. I had tried before bootloader unlock modes.. Anyways its not the point here right now.. The main thing is LGUP is crashing again and again.. Is there any other utility in place of LGUP for flashing LG ROMS ????
Well that .tot file was for Lollipop only that was your mistake in this probably and it has corrupted your system somehow. I'm afraid I have no idea how to deal with this phone as I don't modify this one myself because of the lack of development/devs.
I think there is something called LGFlashTool also.

Hi,
can you enter the download mode on your V10? Then it might be possible to flash a clean (unrooted) MM via LG Bridge. Some time ago I tried to install the latest MM Version V20e on my V10 with LGUP. For some reason that failed and left me with a phone without ROM, too. Afterwards the V10 was not recognized by LGUP anymore.
Luckily I was still able to enter the download mode manually. So I connected the phone to my PC and started LG Bridge which still did recognize it as a V10 H960a. So selecting Firmware update and then clicking in the bottom right corner of the window on a link saying something like "repair flash errors" or "repair update errors" (I'm currently at work and cannot check) did a complete clean install of the latest firmware.
Maybe you're lucky and this works for you too.

Well hello, I found the solution for my problem and I was able to flash the ROM successfully. Its some kind of new utility amalagamated with LGUP and it does flash without any problems. Found out it was related to some corrupt dll file or incompatible file I had in my LGUP library for the ROM FLASHING to fail all the time... You just read this first post on this link and you will be all fine. Trust me ...:highfive::good::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/uppercut-lgup-loader-g5-variants-t3511295
Just dont forget to follow the rules exactly as mentioned and if you can run it in the Virtual Machine I would prefer you to do that but you have to do everything like installing LG DRIVERS + LGUP + LGUP DLL FILE + UPPERCUT as mentioned in this post. Because if you are running antivirus on your PC, it will detect this UPPERCUT TOOL as some trojan horse or some kind of malware. I did that in my VM as I already had my VM configured for my LG V10 Flashing process.
Do it and do let me know should you encounter any problem. May be I can help later on.

LG G6 H870 stuck on boot screen after updating to 9.0 via LG UP

Hello.
So when I tryed to update my LG G6 to 9.0 everything went allright but it got stuck on boot screen. I can still go into download mode and fastboot but the device is not rooted nor is bootloader unlocked. Only thing I have is USB debugging.
I tryed reflashing it again through LG UP but it gets stuck at 4% drops this error: Error: 0x81000302, Please use latest DLL LAF Protocol version is not match DLL = 0 Device =117985312.
Then I also tryed to go into download mode and use LG Bridge update recovery fix. But that also didn't work. It dropped this error: update fail error code 0x5a32suffx lg h870.appbk.
And I also tryed using LG Flash Tool 2014 but that also didn't work. It dropped this error: Required info cannot be found. Contact the system administrator...
So please, could anyone help me fix this problem?
