The stock CM 12 messasging app does not work for Sprint users. Even on the CM 12 builds for Nexus 5. We are just stuck until that bug is fixed. I would love to run CM 12 on my Sprint G3, but, like you, I DO NOT want to use another messaging app. Just some information for you. I have brought this to the attention of several devs, so we have to be patient.
Even if we snag the note3 cm12 messager and copy ut to ours? And install

Have you tried Textra? It works on the 5.0 builds, you just have to make sure the MMS settings are correct.

Oh don't get me wrong, I appreciate the heads up, hell it might have aloud me to update the AOSP messaging ad work (it did't, but it could have).
Hell Scott just released a new clean rom ACE, I am hoping group messaging works on it now. Hopefully I can get someone who has flashed it already to check. Between wallet being a nightmare to set up, and the fact that his last version was almost perfect I don't have a lot of incentive to flash unless it fixes messaging.
I was using MIUI rom for the past 8 months. I found the great feature of MIUI is it's UI and unlimited call history:fingers-crossed:. Last week I changed MIUI to stock version ROM, "S4 Revolution v7.0". Anybody know how can we get unlimited call history? Is there any mod or anything available here?

this wont be possible if you are using stock version roms, maybe some apps can do this for you, just to save call history.. else i dont think you can do this

CallTrack can save history to Gcalendar. But I want it in my dialer storage.

no other options for u if you compulsorily want that feature right now, because stock one is itself deleting than what can a stock based do, they have only added some features and made it look good than original one..

Trimnot a tiny exposed module will help to get unlimited call history on cyanogen based roms.
like the title says... every time i freshly install a 4.3 or 4.4 cdma rom itll work fine for a few hours then ill realize that i start getting gmail emails 5-10 minutes later than i should. kind of like they arent pushing through. that goes the same for my hangouts messages. sms messages go through fine tho. i literally have to go into account and hit sync now every 5 minutes to make sure my messages are coming through. idk what the problem is. all my installs complete successfully. The only roms that seem to not give me trouble are 4.2 roms and im definitely ready to upgrade and stay upgraded.... any help or info on this

What 4.4 Rom are you installing? Which GApps did you install? Be sure they are for 4.4 or 4.3. Did you wipe cache and dalvik cache? Try fixing permissions?

yes i definitely do all the wipes and fix permissions. i havent tried a 4.3 rom in a while but i know i had tried the slimbean one which also happens on the slim kat version as well. i tried all the gapps that were available for both and the most recent one was dhackers with the same results...

I'm currently on 4.4 CM11 12-29 Nightly, running PA GApps for 4.4 roms. The issue your experiencing sounds like either a network issue or software issue with the roms your using. Be sure your using Safe Strap 3.65 with any 4.4 roms, apparently people were having issues with BMM and 4.4. The CM11 Rom is very solid at this point, only issue i'm aware of is the WiFi Hot spot doesn't work, although there is a patch out there that I use which fixes it. Maybe give CM11 a shot? This is the first I've heard of a google account sync issue.
Hangouts does have issues though. When communicating with other gchat accounts, not sms, it can take a bit to update. This issue happens on my stock Nexus 10 as well. Seems to be a problem with the Hangout App itself. Never had issues with gmail or anything else though.

well i re-downloaded the 12-29 officiall nightly build and installed dhacker gapps before i realized you responeded and everything was running well for a few hours then i realized i wasnt getting gmail email nor the google hangouts im's. here are screenshots of the sync screen before and after i manually sync'd my gmail to get my msgs.
hmm, that's odd. You're not using Titanium Backup or anything when you switch between roms are you? How much internal memory do you have left on your device? Try going to setting's, apps, go to gmail, and clear data. Also go into the gmail app, settings, label settings and set to notify every message. Also go to normal settings in gmail, click your username, and make sure sync gmail is checked. When i just checked my gmail sync it said the last time it synced was over an hour ago. Also sent a test email to myself to see if my phone would notify me. It didn't until i opened gmail and slid down to refresh. The next test email i sent notified me once i turned the screen on. Seems it's not going to sync all the time but periodically in order to save battery. I'm hoping you figure this thing out; I feel invested in it haha

Im running CM 11 and emojis work perfectly fine in texting etc. However if I want to use them on twitter I dont have the option? What can I do to have this option (if possible) thankyou!

It works great on my i545 except for one real issue: I can receive and sent texts, I can receive MMS, but I cannot send them, and adding APNs do not save once you edit the setting, the APN disappears when you try to save. I tried unpacking the rom and replacing the "apns-conf" file with one containing only the VZW APNs and then factory resetting and reinstalling but it didn't have any affect.
Does anyone know anything else I can do to fix this? I love MIUI and this rom is 99% there. There was a mirror in the i9505 section where I originally found this:

Minor issues: LTE not automatically enabled *#*#4636#*#* and the settings then enables it and the camera crashes after a few runs. Simply replace with google camera.

It looks like its only for touchwiz-based roms. The base for this rom is CM11. There is a TW miui rom, but it's on 4.2.2, and I saw in the thread it didn't work for a 4.2.2. rom

I imagine so, but its such a beautiful system. I'm amazed it worked as well as it did, seeing as this build that, while based on the unified CM11, wasn't modified with verizon in mind. It almost seems like it has to be an "easy" fix, seeing as MMS will receive, calls work, 4g, 3g, 1x, and texts will send and receive. I could really care less about the camera and having to toggle 4G on after a reboot. Any ideas on where to look besides apns-conf.xml for things that might affect MMS sending? I'm willing to get my hands a bit dirty to make this work...
