Hello to all members.
I want to know how to directly install the Rom on the main partition on my Motorola XT912 rarz.
I do not want to manage multiple system.
A tutorial for noobs will welcome knowing that I already root on the device.
Thank you for helping me

Just download and install safestrap. You can install custom rom on stock partition or rom slots.

[Q] Need help on a relatively simple problem

Hi guys,
I posted a question similar to this before, but did not get much reply.
I have a chinese Razr, and I would like to install an English stock 4.1.2 onto it. This is mostly because for some reason gapps do not work and I really do want gapps.
I have not flashed phones for two years so I have no idea what everything is. And it seemed like all these requires root. Which is my other problem: I cannot install root on this phone no matter what I try. Someone suggested to me that this was because someone had rooted this phone before in an unconventional way and this locked the phone for any future roots. And when I had updated to 4.0.4 I had lost the root and cannot regain it. I must have tried 20 different methods to root this phone already so I'm pretty sure this is hopeless until I flash a different rom.
In any case, my android version is 4.1.2 and system version is 672.300.384.XT910ChinaRetail.en.CN
And I would like to flash a stock 4.1.2 on it.
Check in the dev forum, you'll find links to the correct gapps for your
version.

This is the gapps you need : http://www.4shared.com/get/HDGIsCws/update_gms_jb_spyder_r4.html
This is the china 4.12 root tool : http://dl.projectlense.com/download.php?file=spyder/razr_legacy_jbroot_034.zip
This is bmm apk : http://dl.projectlense.com/download.php?file=bmm/com.projectlense.bootmenu.getinfo.apk
What you need to do is simple, root your phone using the legacy jbroot by whirleyes, install the bootmenu manager apk file. Reboot into bootmenu recovery and flash the Gapps R4 package.
Dont thank me !

No one has replied because no one knows about this. Should have Used a bit more common sense and posted it in the droid razr section

Razr JB All In One Index

So people this thread is basically related to all the JB Stuff (like, rooting, development, recoveries etc.) for the razr XT910/XT912.
Soon I will release a video on how to install roms using safestrap and how to use the rom slots for various roms (i.e. quad boot).
In the mean time, this thread will link you to the rom threads directly which are available in the dev section, I will paste the links to the rom thread, because if a dev updates his rom, you guys can download the latest one without a problem.
But first up i will Paste All the Important Links.
XT910
1.Fastboot Files
2. JB Root
3. Motorola Drivers
4. RSD Lite Guide
5. Fastboots
6. Safestrap And BMM
7. Switching Between Recoveries (i.e, SS and BMM)
XT912
Here is the ultimate tool by Matt for your help, the tool has everything.
ROMS For XT910/XT912.
ARTMOD V3.1 ST
CM10.1
Buttered AOKP
PACman
Carbon Rom
Bionx Catalyst
Avatar (GSM), Avatar (CDMA)
Dirty Unicorns
Rage Rom
Stock AOKP
Liquid Smooth
Blue Android
D-WiZ JBX
Now as far as I have seen, most of the roms require same installation steps (Basic installation of a rom, may not be the same for all roms)
1. Reboot into recovery.
2. Select your slot/ activate system.
3. Wipe Cache, Data, Factory Reset and System.
4. Flash the Rom (with gapps/gsm patch, extra zip; depending upon the rom procedure).
5. Reboot and Enjoy.
Safestrap Users Note:-
Now we have some roms which have very specific requirement like, PACman has to be installed on slot2, cm10.1 on slot1, Liquid smooth on slot3, etc etc.
Beaware of this fact, as after a flashing the rom in the wrong slot, they will not boot, So its advised to read the instructions given on each rom page.
Bmm Users Note:-
Now we have some roms which have very specific requirement like, flashing on system 1 or 2. I dont use the BMM much, so I cant , but other BMM users can share their experience with me, and i will update the thread accordingly.
Beaware of this fact, as after a flashing the rom in the wrong system, they will not boot, So its advised to read the instructions given on each rom page.
For BMM tutorials Click Here
Important Note:-
Most of the roms are based on European JB base, so some users may have to flash the EU JB kernel in order to boot the rom, most of the roms have an attachment of the kernel (if needed with the rom), and users have to flash the kernel before flashing the rom accordingly, otherwise rom wont boot up.
The video will be based on SS recovery, because I use that and will be out soon.
Remember; now people can contact me to me on fb as well, my fb page is in my signature and to sow your support you even like the page.

Sorry @dreamy.man but from what I know you have to be rooted.
To root, use MTK Droid Tools by rua1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2160490
To backup, find oscarblue's post.
There were a few ways mentioned on how to backup.
1) flash cwm and make nandroid backup
2) make a scatter file in mtk droid tools and use sp flash tool somehow. I suggest you read the thread above.
Hope this helps. Press thanks if I helped you
Deep down in my memory there's an app in playstore that can backup your rom without using root. I cant remember the name sorry.

You can't flash custom rom with default recovery because our bootloader is locked.
That's why we must install custom recovery's like Safestrap or BootMenuManager and the default recovery will always exist.
I'm using the custom rom on stock slot because the rom is booting from the system partition (not from the Sd card) and I have whole 8 Gb available.

ryt as per u said ..
like i m a newbie but please answer this one that where are those files present if i just flashed a custom rom in it.
logically they should be wiped out ryt?
I have always been scared of bricking my phone if I flash a custom ROM on the stock but I finally decided to do it today by carefully following your directions and YES everything is working perfectly.
My phone has gotten fast, it boots up more quickly and I have a ton of space to use.
Thank you for this guide
