CC version is locked to consumer cellular I think. You will have to unlock it.

CC uses att towers. So that would work. Data however goes through att mvno data. ccdata matter of fact. So that would cause issues. Cc APN is greyed out and can't be changed.

How to get back to Verizon from Page Plus?

Hi XDAers,
Please help! I sold a my Rezound (which was flashed to Page Plus) to a pal using Verizon.
According to my old experience (3G phones), the phone should be able to be activated and programmed without any manual setting.
But the phone is not able to voice or text; the data works fine with the SIM card. It can't even dial out the activation number *228.
Does Verizon change the way to program the LTE phones? What I can to to resolve the problem?
Your help will be appreciated!!!
*228 doesn't do anything for LTE phones, so that's not the issue. I would guess you need to flash an RUU though I'm not certain. Better wait for someone who has more experience to clear that up for you.
RUU will restore it back to VZW specs. Pop in your 4G sim and you are good to go.
Thank you for the suggestions. Will try and report the result later. Thanks

thanks
i need it because i wanna see if it works with bell networks
OR can you check on bell.ca for me?
wondering if it could work on bell networks?
I think the OG and N4 can pick up every gsm band in the world. I doubt anyone would be willing to give you their IMEI

IMEI is a unique number for each specific phone, you would need the number from the phone you were going to (possibly) buy.
You should mention your carrier, maybe somebody has already tried it and can confirm whether it works or not.
Also, if you are getting the AT&T version, you would need to get it sim unlocked first.

Why would the IMEI make any difference? Does Bell block other carrier's phones?
I am using ATT LGOG on Rogers in Canada, and I have heard that it works on Bell too. I can't test it though as I don't have a Bell SIM.
IMEI doesn't matter for a carrier. As long as phone is unlocked and supports the carriers frequencies, it should connect to the carrier

I'm using the AT&T LG Optimus G on Bell right now. I don't get LTE (even though LTE just came to my city) because my rate plan isn't "LTE capable" and it still has not been fixed.

I don't see why not. I still need to talk to Bell again because it says that my device and rate plan is not LTE capable. Either way, I'm more than happy with 4G.
Edit: I finally got LTE on my E970. Had to replace my SIM card (even though it was a LTE SIM) and LTE came on.

Use in Singapore

Will this phone work in Singapore? Looking at the frequencies, it seems like it should.
I'm running CM10.1
While in singapore, I tried turning the phone on and it would not get a signal.
I tried the different "Preferred Network Mode" options but no help.
Might this be because I needed to get a SIM card in singapore and install it?
Would I need to call up verizon and get it "unlocked" before I can do this?

I believe the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE is not carrier locked, so you shouldn't have to get it unlocked before you can use a different SIM.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question, but why not just get a Verizon SIM card? They are free and then you won't have that problem. Is the international SIM giving you something special? I know if you go on vacation, Verizon can give you a SIM that will work wherever you go so I assume you can still get the same benefits like using it on international networks? Sorry if I totally misunderstood the problem.

That's the reason - Verizon charges $20.48 per megabyte in Europe. Or, 100Mb of data for $2048. Those "Jeremy" T-Mobile ads aren't joking.
How did you remove the warning? I use a non-US SIM when I'm overseas so would like to remove the message.

HAHA... OK I got you, sorry. Just curious, if you are on another carrier network and someone else's SIM and the phone is unlocked, why would it have anything to do with Verizon and be checking for a Verizon SIM?

How to Reprogram Sprint to Boost? Xt1526?

Hi, I am wishing to switch from sprint to boost. I cannot afford a new phone, so I need advice on how to reprogram this one (XT1526). Thanks!
Did you try connecting using the boost sim card? I had no trouble by just entering the code *#*#4636#*#* and switching to GSM/LTE auto PRL.

Er, you do realize that Boost is a Sprint prepaid provider, right? Boost rides on the Sprint network, which is CDMA/LTE. Switching the phone to GSM/LTE will disable CDMA, which is needed for calls/text.

Boost BYOSP list: http://www.prepaidphonenews.com/2016/02/sprint-changes-prepaid-byosp-again-some.html
It's a couple of months old, but I don't see any Moto devices listed on there, so chances are you won't be able to bring it to Boost.
I meant CDMA/GSM/LTE Auto PRL. Calls and text work fine.

But that wouldn't make a difference in this case. Sprint and Boost are the same network, so changing LTE/CDMA -> LTE/GSM/CDMA wouldn't help.
In that case he shouldn't need to do anything. Phone is not locked and should be able to use any SIM. I'm using a GSM SIM in Canada and voice/text works fine.

Sprint phones are Domestic SIM Locked, which means they can't be used on other US carriers. While some Sprint devices can be brought over to prepaid services like Boost (see the list I linked earlier), there aren't any Moto devices listed at all, so the Moto E LTE wouldn't be transferable. Sprint holds tight control over what devices can be used on their network and even their sub-brands.

Is the device still active on the sprint account? If so, you probably have to terminate the account first. If not, might need to contact sprint to get them to release it? Just guessing here, haven't been on sprint since the PCS days, and never activated the sprint xt1526 on any network prior to R+.

I believe you have to actually use the device on Sprint Prepaid for 12 months before they will release the phone for use on a Sprint MVNO like Boost. You used to be able to pay unlockers on ebay to get your phone unlocked earlier than that, but the prices have skyrocketed for that service due to changes Sprint made in the FED, not worth it now.
OP should just sell the phone and buy the Boost Moto E for $30 at Best Buy.
