my z2 sreen cracked this morning. the screen lights up alright, and the lower left corner of the screen is responsive to touch, the rest of the screen is dead to touch. Theres a crack that run across the screen from the lower right corner to almost center of the screen at the top.
What i want to know is, do i change the LCD+touch screen or just the touch screen. Please help.

I think you don't have to replace the LCD display, just the glass. And the touchscreen is integrated in the glass
I received a refurbished lg g2 ls980 , and the screen looks wired compared to my other g2 d802,it's full of small boxs. Is it the normal ls980 screen or it's yesterday a replacement screen ?
So far the screen perform good, colors, luminosity and view angles are the same compared to d802 but the boxs are visibles when screen is off, see the attached pictures.

Those "wires" are the touchscreen grid. Some phones have it more visible, some less. Probably different touchscreen than on original G2's.
Hello all,
I'm relatively new to android, but I've been playing with RemixOS trying to see if it would be a suitable replacement for Android x86 on various devices.
Right now, I'm using RemixOS on a 55" 4k touch display, running at 3840x2160 resolution, with a dpi setting of 160 (to make the OS readable/touchable reliably).
Here's the issue: in the middle of the screen, touch is spot-on accurate, but the closer I get to the horizontal edges, it skews a bit, until it is about a full inch off near the absolute edge. Changing the screen resolution and dpi settings seems to have no effect on touch. It seems as though the OS thinks that the touch area is a couple of inches larger than it actually is.
Does anyone know a fix for this particular issue?
Thanks!
been bashing my head against this problem all day, and I've made a few steps in the right direction: namely, I see what the issue is, but I have no idea how to go about fixing it. When I do a dumpsys display, I see that the resolution that the system is reporting for the monitor is 4096x2160, but that's not what it actually is - it's 3840x2160. This explains the offset touch around the horizontal edges of the screen, but I have no idea how to force the resolution for both the video and touch down to the right resolution. I've tried wm, which does work to correct the video, but has no effect on touch, and i've tried setting the resolution as a boot parameter, which does basically the same as wm.
I hope that makes sense, my brain is mush after today.
halp.
Hi, since engineers in Xiaomi have just made another IPhone copy with stupid notch, curved edges and non-standard screen ratio, is there any way to (for example) change resolution, so we can "erase" those mistakes? I know there is option to "hide" the notch, but it is still blocking notifications.
I don't care about screen to body ratio, I just want phone with standard screen. (Plus I don't have 15cm fingers to touch on top and bottom of the screen without moving phone in hand.)
