Did any varients besides L03 have the snapdragon 400? - Huawei Ascend Mate 2

I know the L01, L04 and L05 have a kirin chipset, though I've seen a few sites list those as snapdragon 400, but on others I see the MT2-L00, L01 and L03 listed on others as having the snapdragon 400, and if the L03 isn't the only one with the snapdragon, did the L00 or L01 get a KitKat update? I'm curious if it did side that would make a cm11 port easier and or possibly modding those updates for ours?

Are we sure? I looked at the site with Chinese firmwares and saw mt2 l00 and l02 were not listed for any firmware updates, l03 was of course missing too which makes me believe those varients do have the snapdragon and all snapdragon varients were excluded from official KitKat?

Yes I meant l01. I can't find much info on the l00 and l01 varients. No firmwares no stats other then pages listing them with l03 on specs pages for snapdragon 400, and those pages leaving out the l02,l04,l05 kirin models

All Ascend Mate 2 bar the US only MT2-L03 are Hisilicon Kirin Chipsets.
They are also faster than Snapdragon 400.

Cyanogen 12 Android 5.0.2 for HTC Desire 816.
Same screen res, same processor (Snapdragon 400 1.6ghz, Adreno 305 gpu), same camera output, LTE as MT2-L03 :

I haven't had a HTC phone since my HTC evo 3d, so no idea if they still have all of that annoying hboot on/off bootloader stuff still.

I suggested the 816 on tdm's G+ post and Moody66 said something was different, so it might not be completely similar. He then suggested the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, which apparently is even more similar.

[Q] Which one is faster I9300 or I9305 ?

Hey everybody
I have a i9300 , and my friend have a i9305 .
I offered him to exchange my I9300 with his I9305 , note that I do not have and do not use 4G at all .
but I'm looking for faster phone . I'm really confused
here is deffrence between them
I9300 have a quad-core 1.4GHz Samsung Exynos processor with 1GB RAM supporting only GSM carriers (i.e. the “International one”)
i9305 have a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 2GB RAM supporting T-Mobile’s 42mbps HSPA+, LTE, and CDMA (as appropriate).
According to this, the only difference is 4G and RAM. CPU is the same.

I think these informations are not correct
It makes no sense if they are incorrect.

Either way, what's going through your mind thinking that a dual core is faster than a quadcore?

http://www.ibtimes.com/samsung-galaxy-s3-2gb-ram-snapdragon-s4-processor-coming-canada-june-20-us-release-likely-same-day
If that is correct , which CPU is better ? 1.5 GHz dual-core Krait or My 1.4 GHz quad-core Cortex-A9 ?
I9300 if you want to stay on the Stock ROM. I9305 if you are looking for AOSP or CM.
If I was in your place, I would have preferred I9305 for its development scope.

Dear all,
I have got my Indian Version KIW-L22 two days back.
here is screenshot from CPUZ.
it says the snapdragon 615 with (4 arm cores @ 1.5 GHz + 4 arm cores @ 1.2 GHz).
Pl confirm if it is same in other variants
Thanks

CPUZ does not correctly identify the chip. Please try AnTuTu which correctly identifies the chip as Snapdragon 616.

I have heard that the spec sheet was corrected to be a 616.

Those clock frequencies are only possible on the 616. The maximum speed of the lower quad on the 615 is 1 GHz.
Earlymon you are right. Only in 616 the clocking is possible up to 1.2 Ghz. So I think it must be CPU-Z mistake or something.

CPU-Z also thinks that my Snapdragon 801 in my HTC M8 is a Snapdragon 800. It's not perfect.
Both the 615 and 616 have the same base number - msm8939 - and that's been the source of all the confusion.
I was given the early test unit by Huawei - the honor 5X never had the older 615 and any reviewers who think that they did are simply mistaken.
I too get the same. While running on CPU-Z, it shows Snapdragon 615. In Antutu its showing Snapdragon 616 for my KIW-L23
it is SD 615v2 i.e. SD616 with 8 cores (4 at 1.5 and 4 at 1.2 GHz)
616 and 615 are 99% identical, I didn't bother myself with this in particular
hi
the speed of Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 MSM8939v2 is 1700 but the honor 5x speed is 1500, why ?

RN4 model, how to be sure

Hi guys,
I just gor my RN4 which was advertise as 4/64 Global with snap 625 cpu.
The fact is that Antutu says it's a mediateck cpu while Droid Hrrware info and CPU-Z say that it's a snap625 !
Also according to kimovil (where you may go by your own as I can't insert links), Global version are supposed to be equipped with a sony imx258 sensor while non global version with a samsung S5K3L8.
Mine came with a samsung sensor, but I've seen it happend a lot to RN4X, but did not hear that about RN4 global.
Do you have any recomendation to have a solid answer what my cpu is, and if I do have the 4G band of a global version.
Lastly any reliable plans to get a imx258 sensor from somewhere ?
Thank's in advance
J.
It literally says on the box if you have Mediatek or Snapdragon chip. What does it say on the box on the back, next to " Product Name / Product Model: Mobile Phone / XXXXXXXX", reply with the number.

Not true, it's 100% random between 3 camera sensors.
It's indeed all writtent on the box, global with snap 625 !
haha this is the lamest question ever !
I wonder why this dumb-ass of antutu said otherwise !
And for the sensor, I'm a bit frustrated not to get the sony, but I may feel happy not to get the omnivision, so glass half full

Most of the time benchmark and device info apps don't read info from the device, but read them from a server which has a library of device infos. So it could have been possible that antutu judged your device incorrectly. The most basic difference by which you can get your cpu type is by checking the number of cores. Mediatek Variant has 10 cores. While the Snapdragon one has 8.
yop that's also what I assumed, but that's lame...
Anyhow I could also very fy that I have a snapdragon cpu in the settings > about this phone > Cpu > octocore 2.0GHz.
waiting for 72 and I'll unlock it.
Thank's again guys

similarity with op2?

Hi all,
Thought to ask,
How similar is our OnePlus x to it's big brother, the OP2?
Could you for instance flash ROMs meant for the OnePlus 2 in the X?
Or is flashing ROMs onto the wrong type of phone, never a great idea, no matter the similarity.
Impossible to do what you propose.
It's more similar to the OnePlus One
They have almost identical innards:
Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC
Quad-core Krait 400 CPU and
Adreno 330 GPU
The main difference is the One is bigger with a larger display.
But can I flash roms meant for the one on the X?
I mean very few 11 roms for x, but plenty for one

Give it a try and see what happens? I doubt it will work, but it might. As long as you have a custom recovery like TWRP, it's easy to fix even if you flash a broken ROM.
