[Q] Return to stock after installing TWRP - Sprint LG G3

Is it possible to return to stock ZV4 if I have TWRP installed using the LG Flash tool? I want to try out some customs ROMs but don't want to take that risk if I can't revet back.
I'm sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but I have been browsing different threads and I didn't see a clear answer to my question. Thanks you.

yes, flashtool will revert back to oem stock with stock recovery. But, you could have the latest stock modified and keep TWRP and root access.

U sound confused bro. In short, if u ever need to go to the service center just flash the original lg firmware with kdz. U get everything back to stock. stock rom, kernel, unroot
If u are looking for only the LG kernel. Im not sure but it involves the bootimg file and other technical details. U will have to ask the devs
You can't get the stock kernel if you don't flash stock rom with KDZ Updater.
P.S : WHY YOU WANT TO FLASH THE STOCK KERNEL ?

Standalone stock rom kernel is not available. You can:
a. Restore your stock rom nand backup, or
b. Search the general thread, a stock rom nand backup has been posted, or
c. Flash stock firmware using kdz.

[Q] Rooting issue!

Hi guys, I have had my phone for a few weeks now and I'd like to ask about a little problem I have been experiencing. So, I just rooted my device this morning and flashed the new ICS ROM. Though, I realised that I prefer MIUI. So, when I loaded recovery to flash my new MIUI ROM, I was greeted by a blue 'CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.7'
I don't understand this because when I rooted this morning the recovery I had was a different version and it was orange.
What I need to know is the steps I need to take to flash a new ROM from scratch. Do I need to go back to the original ROM, then re-root? Do I need to re-root at all even?
I guess I'm still kind of a noob, so any help would be appreciated and I will click that 'thanks' button for anyone who gives a good answer.
Thanks in advance, Joe.

CWM and root are not directly related.
CWM comes with the kernel.
Root is part of the rom.
Miui will be rooted when you flash it.
You do not need to be rooted to flash roms via CWM recovery.

Help removing TWRP after unrooting?

I was rooted with stock 4.0.3 and unrooted so I could do the OTA update. Now, unrooted, TWRP is interruping the OTA update on the install. How can I remove TWRP?
Thanks!
You aren't fully unrooted.
Also, I would highly suggest just flashing the updated ROM. You should never unroot in order to take an ota and then reroot

I've read mixed opinions on this. Many Dev's have said just to unroot using the TWRP, then install the OTA, which is what I tried, and now TWRP opens up in the install process. As far as still being rooted, I cannot do anything that requires root, so I assume I am unrooted.
I prefer to OTA update. I've had too many issues with updated rooted ROM's in the past, so I would rather not flash a ROM.
I dont think removing twrp will do anything for you. You need the stock recovery to flash an OTA. You would need to RUU to stock after relocking your BL and then take the OTA if thats what you wanna do. Unless there is a stock recovery floating around to flash in twrp. In the past for every phone I have every tried you need the stock recovery to flash the OTA update.

Bad idea. What Roms are you using? There are fully stock rooted Roms available that the only difference is they are rooted. That is the only coding or programming difference. You are spending a lot of time dong something that doesn't need to be done. You can get everything you need from a stock odexed rooted ROM. Plus you having to wipe the slate clean on your phone each time there is an ota.

Nobody is answering your question because they don't want you to unroot...smh
Just flash the stock recovery. Make sure that first you're on an odexed ROM, then flash the stock recovery, then search for the OTA update and install it.

Know anywhere I can find the stock recovery? I'll have to go back and re-root the phone as well, since I am unrooted at this point.

[Q] Xperia ray rooting procedure

Hey! Guys,
I wanted to know what are the steps to follow in-order to install a custom ROM on my xperia ray. I've read few tutorial but still I've got some questions to clarify. Just tell me whether below steps are correct.
First root the device
Unlock the boot loader
Flash a custom ROM
And if I'm installing a custom ROM on to my device I want to achieve below point too.
Want a complete back up with SMS/MMS, Apps ..etc (can be acheived via some back-up apps)
Want to take a complete copy of my current stock firmware (as a ftf file)
Any else, that I should follow which I missed here ...
I'm still curious about this.. Please advise me if I missed anything here since I'm a newbie when it comes to android rooting, flashing stuffs..

OK, root is really important  I think you should also get cwm recovery as step 2 and figure out how to use it before you unlock your boot loader. There are a bunch of ROMs in Ray Dev that are for unlocked boot loaders so you can try some things out and get comfortable flashing with cwm and/or flashtool. If you find that you like what you are doing, then unlock the boot loader. It probably will only take a day or two to figure out cwm and how flashing with cwm and flashtool work, but by then you will be a lot more comfortable with the instructions for unlocking your boot loader and you will be less likely to end up in a bad place and people will be able to help you better, since you already know how to do most of the stuff.
Thread moved. Questions belong here in Q&A.
Thanks

Asking for good roms is not allowed
There are a few MIUI roms for example or you could try MiniCMSandwich for AOSP style, just search around in development section and find your favourite!

Build NG6 Custom Recovery?

Hi,
I've scowered this forums and internet for a definitive answer, but I am at a loss. I have a GS4 with build VRUFNG6 and I want to flash ROMs. I rooted by downgradeding the kernel, using towel root, then upgrading again. Can I get a custom recovery like safestrap to flash ROMs or am I S.O.L?
Looking for answer to the same question stated above.

Thanks for that link. Can I be on NG6 and flash that? Or should I revert to the NC5 kernel for it?
Edit: found the thread with info.

NG6 Custom recovery
I am new to the Verizon GS4 I just Transferred from sprint. Land of the unlocked bootloader. I am now rooted by way of old kernel, root tool, new kernel method. I am so perplexed on how to get a custom recovery safely on this phone. Youtube videos are old and can find anything new online for ng6. I click the link posted from another user on this thread and it is inactive. I really would like to know how to safely get a custom recovery on this phone. also when I reboot the phone, it sometimes loses root... Is that normal??? I have rooted this phone over and over again due to this. I used root checker basic and it says I have root. I reboot sometimes and lose root. Can anyone please help me asap??? Thank you
