Hi guys. I usually Install my Applications from "Apk Installer" because its easy to use, smooth and fast. But for a couple of days, whenever i try to install Applications from Apk Installer. It says "SD Card Not Ready". I also read another similar post but haven't find a solution so here, i am posting it again to get the answer. See the screenshot, my Samsung S2 is connected properly, detected by Apk Installer but unable to install applications. Please help guys . Thanks for your time friends

What ROM are you on? And what android version is that ROM?

You have to install from the browser to get the option to install from unknown sources ... are you doing that?

Are you installing from the browser (as opposed to installing from the file explorer)? I have seen some state that if you don't do it right the first time, you won't have a second opportunity, you'll have to do a factory reset, though that was not my experience.

I'm trying to install GPS on my Galaxy S3 like Sygic, Navigon, iGo and I can't install no one of them ... I can install other apps but these are not working.

Are you installing from Google Play .

No. I put the .apk file on my phone and tried to install from the phones file manager. I also tried ASTRO but still nothing ...

Then try redownloading the apk file. Maybe download is corrupt or something.
And if possible, use google play
Astro is just root explorer that can be used to explore root files. It doesnt have anything regarding installation of APKs (apps) unless they have to be thrown directly into FS.
I tried to redownload, I also downloaded from another mirror...
I can't download from the store because what I'm trying to install is a full cracked version...
I guess something in ICS doesn't allow the installation of these kinds of APKs...

Hi, Im new to android and i just bought the Huawei Honor II U9508 2gb ram with android 4.1.2 and with huawei's Emotion UI 1.5.
The problem is that Google play store didnt come with the phone and i have tried installing it with 4share but everytime i get an error that says u "Unfortunately, Google Play has Stopped" I have tried many things like deleting chache and deleting email. Do i have to Root to get it to work?
Another thing is that i really like to have my phone rooted.. as i said has android 4.1.2 and huawei's Emotion UI 1.5 (2gb ram)

Edit: also i really like to get rid of the Chinese in for example browser (have it set on english but still alot of Chinese) and Youtube didnt work in browser at all. In the commericals i see Voice Assistant in english but i have it in Chinese (any way to change it)

there are no way to root you phone for the moment so you can t install google play.same thing for me

But there is still a problem, i cant get Google Play Store to work. i have tried installing it with 4share but everytime i try to download something i get an error that says u "Unfortunately, Google Play has Stopped" Then i need to make a new google account so i can open the app.. but i cant download anything. I have tried many things like deleting chache and deleting email. Anyone know how to fix this?

umm they block all google stuff in china on the other thread there should exist a guide how to remove it.
make sure you have google account manager installed.

You need to install (flash) gapps.zip from recovery mode.
copy zip file to your sd card.
from recovery mode, choose install zip from sd card
select zip file and install it. then reboot system.
when reboot, you can see play store app and can use it.

I installed it successful, but now it says -Error retrieving information from server. [RH-01]- on goolgle play. And says android keyboard has stopped working everytime i open it. Help please
EDIT: also even some apps doesn't work :S how can i change it back or fix the problems?
How can i remove gapps?? it only made things worse

Hi I'm 16 and new to the whole rooting thing. I just rooted my phone yesterday for the first time and everything seemed to go perfectly. Everything works so much faster and my phone looks so much nicer with the new customization features. I'm glad I finally rooted it. Then I found out that my "Package Installer" does not work. Every time I try to uninstall an app or install an APK from the browser, it says "unfortunately Package Installer has stopped." I cannot even open "My Files" due to this. I also can't do things such as enabling the weather in my status bar. I thought that maybe it was just a faulty Resurrection Remix ROM but then I have tried a few other ones now too. If anyone can help me with this one problem I would appreciate it very much.

Try Wiping Dalvik Cache & Cache in Your Recovery & Reboot .. See The Error Occurs Again or Not .. Or Try Wiping The Cache & Data of the Package Installer Apk in Settings/Apps/Package Installer ..
If these Two Doesn't Work ,Try Clean Flashing The ROM Again ..
Even After The Clean Flash It occurs Means..Then Its The RR ROM Issue Which You Have Installed ..
Report It to the OP, ROM Thread In XDA or Other Sites On Where You Have Downloaded The ROM ,So That They Will Take A Look About This Error ..

Okay the above solutions did not work; however, I was wondering if it was possible to just uninstall and reinstall package installer. I know how to uninstall it, I just haven't tried to do it yet because I don't know where I would even find it or how I would reinstall it (since there won't be a package installer on my phone). Does anyone know anything that would help me try to solve the problem this way? Any other solutions altogether? Thanks!
Hey guys i just want add some input, i was having same problem on Samsung Galaxy S6 marshmellow. wiping cache/ delvick cache gave me only a little help. but this was basically because of one app called APP LOCK , i uninstalled that and then all is fine now.

I have been struggling with my phone and the inability to load apps via apk or uninstall apps unless I go to Roy the play store and I could not figure out why it was driving me crazy. I had to remind myself that the solution to this problem on my phone is to re-enable Download manager. I disable Download manager as a way to keep from getting certain updates and if it's disabled package installer will stop working.
I am 11 and wants to help you
First download Magisk v20.4.
Then install it via twrp.
Download aptoide to computer.
Run adb install <your file directory> in cmd （or powershell and add .\ before adb）.
At last open aptoide and turn on update for system apps,install beta apps and root installation. It will request root access.Grant the root access to it.Done.You can install any app on aptoide.If not on aptoide send the apk to me and I will upload it.

Here's a fix.
If the same problem occurs throughout serveral Roms, And you use a custom Theme, Then the theme is "probably" the issue.
Happened to me on both SpaceOS and Odyessy, I changed the theme to default and it worked.
Maybe it works?
I don't know why the theme messes the package installer up tho.
Hello world, amazed by how many people gave been helped by this site, I decided to make a post so I can find a solution..
I own a Samsung galaxy s6 and it's rooted with TWRP app and I have installed sulersu right now. So I wanted to play super mario run on my device but suddenly an error popped up which I looked for and found out that it's caused by my root. The first solution that I found on the internet was to install magisk mask and hide the root for the specific app. However in the installation guide I saw some weird stuff like uninstslling your root and stuff. I want someone to guide me and if not install magisk, at least play Mario run somehow.. Thanks in advance

Do I have to do anything different? I mean that I have installed supersu at the moment. And I rooted my phone via twrp.. What's the steps to install those apps.

Install Xposed Installer app, it is not available in play store, so Google it.
There would be an option to install the framework in the app.
Click it.
It may take a while to download necessary files.
Once downloaded and installed, it will ask for permission to reboot.
Grant it, press the reboot option.
It may take a while for your phone to reboot.
After your phone reboots, open Xposed Installer and go to Downloads option.
Search for RootCloak there and install it.
After installation, you have to reboot your phone again.
Open RootCloak after reboot, there would be an option "Add/Remove Apps".
Select it.
In the new window, select the "+" icon and select the app you want to hide root from.
