USB fast charge? - Sprint LG G3

I can't seem to find a usb fast charge mod for our device and so I figured I ask. I am running ZV8 (barepop thanks @engine95). When I say usb fast charge I mean when it's pluged into the computer or a battery pack and charges fast.
Thank you,

When a custom stock kernel is put together, it might include it.

Ok, do you know of any?

I know engine95 is working on one, and i'm playing around with it too. But i really don't have much time to put a good effort

Ok thank you for the respond

[Q] Battery won't boot Phone or Charge

WHo knows the answer to this question?
My new battery won't charge. I let the phone die/run out till it shut down. Now when I plug it in the red/orange led lights for approx 4 secs and shuts off. This is a new battery and I have no reason to believe it is damaged. I ran it for about 7-10 days. I had a similar issue with the stock battery a month ago- It ran out and I rebooted it till it wouldn't boot anymore to try to re calibrate the battery and it was almost impossible to get it to take a charge again. But with this one I'm not able to get it to take a charge, and apparently it's so low it won't boot the phone.
My Question- is there information that gets written to the battery? Could it be that the battery is reporting some type of bad information to not allow the phone to take a charge ? Anyone know of a possible fix?
FYI- I am able to boot the phone on my old stock battery so I'm not in real trouble. Thanks in advance.
Buy a wall charger from ebay and charge your battery from the wall charger.
Yea, sounds like your battery needs a bit of a jump start.
There are two ways of doing this,
1. As stated above get a wall charger and charge the battery up a bit that way then boot up,
2. If you don't want to buy a wall charger there is a way to give it bit of a charge by splicing a usb cable. Then touching certain wires to certain electrodes on the battery itself.
Google is your friend in case number 2. I don't want to give you any wrong info, I saw a post about this when I first came to xda, couldn't find it again tho.
Hit thanks if I've helped, and if you need help finding a tutorial to use the usb method let me kno, I will look for it again when i get home from work this afternoon.

you can try leaving the phone off power wise then hook the charger up and let it run its course and charge... if that doesnt work you can either by a docking station and then separately charge it then start to reinstall said rom or just buy a new phone

Thanks, i do something like that, take off battery, put it on, then put usb cable and power + volume down, and goes to fastboot. I dont know if battery was discharged or something else, but thanks for quickly response.
keep in mid that reloading things from hboot and/or fast boot eat up alot of battery power give it some time to charge... ive had the battery run outta juice issue and this is where your nerves will be tested... give it some time and see... let the pbatttery charge up to around if not more than 50% and THEN try proceeding

[Q] Vibrant not charging.

Alright so my Vibrant won't charge. I JUST recovered my phone from a brick, (I was having issues with the battery life on Slim Roms 4.0 compared to 3.9--in the middle of flashing back I accidently wiped my internal memory. As I was recovering it using Odin, my fat cat jumped on my bed and caught on my phone cord bricking it.) Flashed using Heimdall and was able to get my phone into working order.
Now, I placed Slim Roms 4.0 back on my phone initially after the unbricking to have something working on it, even though the battery life less than impressed me.
So I charged it like normal yesterday, got it to 100% and was fine and dandy with it working. (Still sucking up battery life like a vampire in a fat camp.)
So the update 4.1 went live yesterday, I flashed it immediately to that. The battery life was amazing! So I do the normal thing when I flash to a new ROM. Let it die completely before charging it completely. It's now dead and will not charge.
Symptoms;
I plugged in my normal cable for work (a cheap cable I purchased off of Ebay.) And up comes the round loading symbol. Followed by a darkening of the screen, followed by nothing.
One thing to note, is while it has it's loading circle on, the bottom buttons light up when I touch them.
My Steps;
-I attempted different USB ports since I charge through my work computer. No luck.
-I "borrowed" my co-workers USB cord and USB to wall plug. Attempted the new cable in the computer first. No luck.
-Plugged the borrowed USB into the wall charger. Same thing happens.
-Used my own cheapy cable in wall charger. Same thing.
-Took co-workers complete set and plugged it in in a different room. Nothing.
-Took out my battery, plugged in USB, placed battery back in. Nothing.
-Hold down the Vibrant buttons to get into Bootloader, it resets the loading circle and nothing more.
So now I'm sitting here wondering what to do. I do not have rubbing alcohol readily available, however since it charged to 100% yesterday I do not believe that is the issue, but I'd be willing to try if I had access.
Something you should know, I am using a Samsung Epic 4G battery in my phone.
-For those who might judge saying it is dumb, I have gotten 54 hours out of that battery on one ROM before, that is with texting, talking on the phone and installing apps. I'm fond of this thing, however I have my stock battery at home still.-
Any suggestions you guys have would be appreciated. I have tried things that I found on this forum and basic tech support to no avail. (I am at work so the things I can use are fairly limited. However cords are of no shortage.)
Alright, I unplugged my phone from being plugged into the wall charger for an hour and 3 minutes later it decides to turn itself on.. Not sure what's going on but I'm not going to complain.
So my question now is, can anyone explain this or help prevent this in the future?
From what I've heard draining a battery until it dies can damage it. But, I'm not an expert on that. It's possible that the battery needed more time to recover from the drain.

Really? I was always told it prolongs battery life. Now I need to research this! Thank you.

I had something similar happen when running lithium volt ROM. My battery completely died and the phone cut off (obviously.) I plugged it in the charger and it immediately tried to boot the phone up but it was bootlooping at the startup screen. I let it sit there for 20 minutes or so thinking maybe it is charging but as soon as i unplug the charger the phone cut off. Luckily I have an extra battery, popped it in, flashed a new ROM thinking that was the problem, turns out it was something to do with the ROM(maybe it needed a certain amount of battery power to boot up). My completely dead battery worked on the cm7 ROM I flashed, plugged in the charger and it booted up normally and started charging.

Oh so it could be ROM related? :/ That makes sense considering I just installed a brand new ROM. Thank you!

Yea it could be ROM related but it also could be a number of other things. Hopefully flashing a new ROM will fix the issue.

Thank you. I might just have to downgrade back to 3.9. It's almost a shame. xD
I'm going to test my old battery in this ROM just to make sure before I downgrade.
You need to use your Samsung usb charger, and wall adapter only. These two are the only ones that will actually work. I had this same problem and realized it was because I wasn't using the Samsung stuff. Even when pugging into the computer, use the Samsung USB cabe only. As for the battery your using... I wouldn't recommend it, no matter the fantastic battery life you must be getting.

Daw it's a fellow Samsung battery.
Thank you about the cable, I need to purchase another one anyways, mine at home seems to not be connecting very well. :/
ROM. some roms do that. it will not let you power up while charging if the battery is very low. you will get the circle and the battery symbol after. sometimes you still cant unless you pull the battery. happened to me many times

Have you checked your battery status in the settings pane? If so I would bet you indeed did get some charge from it just not enough to really tell a difference. Especially if you've been using the 2ma stock charger. Anything less than 1ma is gonna seem like it takes a lifetime to charge.

Use perseus kernel 31.2. It will up the charging to 900. Later releases of the kernel drop it back down to 633.

I woke up this morning and it still said it was charging but low battery warning sux because its soooo convienent...i hada crawl outa bed search around for the usb cable on the floor n plug it in such a hassle lol...by the way im on cm 10.1 it doesnt pop up wireless charging but everything looks like its charging and like i said it says its getting a charge in the pages in root explorer,is it something with cm i wonder?
I like all of these suggestions, but no one asked the most important one. You do know that the phone does not support wireless charging right? If you want wireless charging on your VZW Note 2, you need to add the necessary pins/connections yourself. Otherwise, you could leave the phone on the charger for 5 years and it'd never charge.
Wait...those little tabs on the coil dont just sit on the plasic and charge i coulda swore plastic was conductive heh jk...na i knew that much i dremeled some holes out and did the whole make some copper taby things..it actually came out super clean looken... But like i said it says charging battery meter goes up using the miui bar, says ac charging in settings, and says its getting 634ma of charge in root exploer like sys/class/power source/batter/charge now or something,i totalky wish i wasnt that smart and it was me being dumb lol ive been messing with it all day im pretty sure its cm that is not supporting or reconizing it because with the phone off battery pops up and it does actually charge but when its on it just does everything like it is but doesnt actyally charge,im gonna reflash my stock backup and see if that works. I dont gotta problem turning phone off when im sleeping but i work over nite so any important calls or txts are during the day while im sleeping so i kinda want them to wake me up if needed...anyway thanks for all the imput so far guys tryen to get some responece about it also in the cm nightly thread
Well its definatly cm related because i left phone of last night abd on charger and woke up with a full battery...

[Q] Phone Wont Charge

This morning I got in my car and plugged my phone in, turned on Waze and drove to work which everything was fine. I started to do some testing on my phone at work which was killing the battery so I plugged it in, but the light did not appear for charging. I tried plugging it into two different computers, wall outlet, and different cords. I tried a co-workers phone on my cord and his started charging with no problems both connected to the PC and wall outlet. I cleaned the USB port on the phone thinking their maybe some dirt and build up in there, but still no love. Tried simulating a battery pull, flashing a ROM, and doing a restore...again no love. So I am guessing either the battery or the port is bad, even though the cable clips into place and is not loose.
My question I guess is: I have insurance on the phone, but do I need to RUU the phone in order to get the work done or will Sprint not care? I don't want to RUU and not be able to unlock and root again, but at the same time....I need a working phone. Also, if I missed something in my troubleshooting that someone has had success with for the same issue, please let me know.
Here is an early Thank You for those that may have suggestions or advice.

Hey bud. First thing I would do is flash the latest stable TWRP for the phone. Then boot to recovery and see if it will charge.
If not, try flashing a stock kernel and see if that fixes the issue.
If it still has problems, I would be willing to bet it is hardware related be it the board, port, or battery.
If you are S=OFF, you will be able to root and unlock just fine. I don't know the carriers policies, but it's always safe to be RUU if you intend to do a Insurance claim. Make sure all your internal memory is backed up prior to flashing a RUU.
I found out the usb port on the phone is bad, but if I plug it in halfway the phone will charge. Thanks for the response and suggestion neo.

I've had that problem a few times too. Followed these instructions (found somewhere else) and it's corrected it every time:
1. Power phone off
2. Put on charger for at least ten minutes (does not appear to be charging, but that was the instruction)
3. Hold both the volume up and power buttons at the same time for at least two minutes (phone goes into kind of a boot loop)
4. Release both and phone reboots and charging works again
For me it fixed the "messing with the USB plug"
At least worth a try.

Sorry that didn't work. I always hate giving up, especially when it's usually a mess I've caused. Hahaha but anyway, if things are straightening out when I have issues, I go back and flash the stock android rom, I'm on Verizon and use the deodexed one in another post on here. Seems as though using the rom designed for the phone cures a lot of ills (imagine that). Again, unless your set on sending it back (personally I hate the hassle of that) I'd give that a try too along with doing the button holding thing too if just flashing the rom doesn't correct it. Good luck whichever you decide!

Well I ran an RUU yesterday and had no luck, until I found plugging it in halfway got it to charge. I have tried everything that I can think of along with neo and your suggestions, but the port is just bad. So I am hoping it will hold off until the end of the month when the m9 comes out and I am able to upgrade. So I will ride it out till it completely stops charging or I get a new phone. I do appreciate your suggestions and help though.

If you have insurance they should cover that... Also if your have Verizon the extended warranty may cover it.
