i've switched from CognitionS2 to the gingerMOD
all data and cache partition has wiped before i flash the ROM
after the phone rebooted the storage is working properly
and when i restore my apps through MyBackup Root
when it the restore progress reach about 70% i've got FC from the app
and i tried to restore the app again, it couldn't get data from the selected restore file
so i reboot my device and got the "USB Storage damaged" warning in my notification bar
in recovery mode, i can flash any zip files. so that the internal storage is not REALLY damaged

I've been flashing ROMS from a rebranded phone of mine. I noticed that my Internal Storage is getting low everytime I flash a new ROM. The Data/factory reset doesn't work for me. I have CWM. I can't use my phone now. When I open it, all apps are force closing. I can't format my Internal Storage. I need HELP. If someone knows how to FORMAT internal STORAGE via PC, please HELP me :crying:
Hello all
I have a rooted 16gb OPX. It said that I had the storage full, so I checked the storage settings, and the "other" part, the one that is not nor apps nor pictures etc... (i don't know if im making myself clear or not). To solve that, I've restored it to factory, but after reseting it I still had 8.5 gb of space taken, so I decided to go to twrp and wiping dalvik / art cache, system, data, internal storage and cache. And right now my OPX is stuck at OP logo. That made me think, and I may have erased the OS?
By the way, sorry for my english, not a native speaker
Thank you

Yes, when you wiped "system", this wipes the partition where the main part of the operating system is located. You should be able to connect to a PC while in TWRP and move a rom over to the phone to flash and get booted again.
So, i recently installed and uninstalled a few custom roms on my lenovo k4 note running android 6.0.
After i accidently installed a new rom without wiping the dalvik and cache of the previous one , my internal storage has suddenly become full . My phone has 16 GB internal storage and before installing the rom i had around 6 GB free whereas after the installation , i have literally less than a 100 MB left and i cannot install anything . I wiped the internal storage completely and it's showing there are no files on my internal storage but it's still full. Can someone please help me to fix this problem??
Hey there! Try to reinstall your stock ROM with one PC

System is where the OS is installed, Cache is a different partition as well as internal storage. So not wiping Dalvik/cache & Cache should not affect internal storage.
Check these TWRP FAQ pages:
https://twrp.me/faq/whattowipe.html
https://twrp.me/faq/datamedia.html <<< especially the part about Format Data.
In TWRP we also have a wipe internal storage option that rm -rf's the media folder and a "Format Data" option that formats to recreate the entire file system in case something goes completely wrong or to remove device encryption.

Can't you connect to a computer while in Recovery & delete some files in internal storage?
What is your recovery's name & version exactly?
And @IsaqueLNC is right: if everything else fails install the stock firmware & you may get lucky.

I'm hoping to get something clarified when it comes to installing ROMs. My phone was working fine for a couple of months since I acquired it, I started getting a bootloop yesterday, and I decided to use TWRP to do a factory reset. Still bootloop. I did another factory reset + wiped out internal storage, and reinstalled the ROM. Checked file manager in TWRP, and saw that internal storage is still empty, with the exception of the TWRP folder, and the ROM zip I transferred back on using my laptop.
I tried booting up anyway, and still have a boot loop.
Is it normal for a successful ROM flash to have an empty internal drive? Are the folders Android, data, DCIM, and the rest all populated on the internal drive upon successful bootup? Or is it something that's supposed to be there right after a successful ROM flash?
I'm having a had time figuring out what I need to do at this point.
