I keep getting getting the phantom voicemail popping up, does anyone know how to get rid of it? It only occurs on AOSP ROMs, but not just on reboots pops up quite often.
Thanks in advance

Does anyone else have this issue? I do a lot of texting, and if I send a message while I get an incoming call, I get an error message up top that says "Message not sent" and my phone keeps vibrating in the same manner it would if I'm getting a call in.
It never gives me the option to pick up the call, nor does it show up in call history. The people calling never leave voicemails either so I feel like an a** not calling back since I don't know who the heck it is. I'm on the stock rom on the latest HTC OTA update.
Anyone else have the same issue? Any fix for it? It's frustrating me beyond belief..

If your rooted you may have a dirty flash or kernel flash... If not then no I never had this issue....
Also it could be a 3rd party app doing it to you.... The market does have some bad apps..... Tho you have to give it permission when you install a app that could mess with things if it needs some crazy permisson that it isn't suppose to need..
I'm on the stock rom, using the latest version of Handscent although I doubt that's what's causing it since so many others use it without any issue. Don't know what else to try really :\

I would ditch the handscent thing to make sure it wasn't causing issues..
So you arn't rooted?
Yeah I'm on 2.17.651.5, but it's been happening ever since I got my phone :\
I'm not rooted, never done anything like that to my phone.
Hey all.. how do I get rid of the voicemail notification? Being that it is a springboard and I have no voice service on the phone, I cannot call it and get rid of it, nor any clue of WHY I have that in the first place!
Minor irritation but driving me crazy.
any suggestions?
Already a thread on this:

Lacking solution though.
I only use GV for voicemail. I liek being able to instantly play whatever message i prefer without being prompted like the carriers voicemail. GV is taking forever to load voicemails after they have been left by a caller. The voicemail will show up in the list, but cannot be player for sometimes over an hour. Anyone else experiencing this issue with GV?

No issues here like that. I do get a few seconds delay or I have to hit play twice to get it to work. Are you able to access them immediately via the Voice website?

Have not tried the web, mostly bc i'm not near a pc to try. I am on Rage rom, but it's only been an issue for a couple of months now and I've been on rage for a lot longer than that. Tried uninstalling, but still the same issue. Thinking about just going back to verizons stock vm. it's not convenient, but at least i can access the vm quickly.

No issues like this on the stock ROM either, same as mjones73 reported, takes about 5 seconds and occasionally have to press play twice.
Every time I reconnect to the AT&T network I receive a notification like the one in the attached screenshot. I do not have any new voicemail and even when I have tried to use Google Voice to manage my voicemail that notification keeps on showing up. I have had this issue on every custom rom (CM, LOS, NOS) I have used on my Note 3. Has anyone else had this issue happen to them or have an idea about what I should do. I understand that I can just swipe it away every time but that is annoying and if there is a way to prevent it from showing up that would be preferred.
Can't say I've ever seen this myself, but it could be something messed up network-side, if it happens to all ROMs, so maybe try giving AT&T a call and asking them to reset your voicemail, that might just do the trick for your issue. If not, then I can't think of anything else that might cause it.
So after installing TWRP and flashing a ROM on my phone back in December, I constantly have a notification on my phone from Phone Services telling me I have one new voicemail when my inbox is empty. What's annoying is that it randomly 'refreshes' making the notification noise, so I am forced to keep it on vibrate otherwise I have to listen to that notification going off all day long. I have lived with it for the past 3 months, but have recently realized when I do get voicemails, it never updates the number it always just says one voicemail. It's really frustrating too b/c I live in a rural area where I sometimes don't have reception and if I get a call it never shows up and if they leave a voicemail I'm not notified unless I actually check it.
I have tried clearing data and cache as well as force stopping in the settings and it will automatically come back within a few minutes. I have set the Phone Services notifications to 'Don't show notifications at all', but it completely ignores it. I have tried switching to Google Voice from Sprint Voicemail and it still appears. I tried switching back to Sprint Voicemail and it's still there. I have flashed new builds of the ROM multiple times and it still shows up, usually about an hour or two after flashing. The only thing I haven't done at this point is use the LGFlashTool to completely vert back to factory which I'm avoiding because of the time/effort and the lingering feeling it still won't fix it.
Before going thru that, I was wondering if I could potentially freeze Phone Services with Ice Box and migrate to use Google Voice for voicemail. Does anyone know if this is ok or will it brick my phone?
Any input is appreciate!
UPDATE: On Wednesday I had a random reboot while using my phone and after booting back up I no longer saw the notificiation. It's been several days since then, booth rebooting the phone and using voicemail and still have not got the notification back. Only thing I have noticed is that it no longer gives a notification at all if I get a voicemail, but since I get a text alert I'm not too concerned.
Unfortunately, if somebody else encounters this same issue it's not much help on why it occurred or how to fix it....
