First of all let me say I'm sorry to even have to post this. I've looked and I'm sure this question has been posted a million times. But a lot of it just looks like Greek to me.
I recently bought a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 and found later that evening that it was rooted.
It's running Hyperdrive and the latest version. Also has a TeamWin screen.
I'd really like to unroot it and return it back to bone stock. But I haven't had any luck finding the firmware or instructions on how to do so that a new guy could totally understand.
If someone could give me a step by step and where I can find the stock firmware, I'd be forever grateful.
Thank you for reading this and I hope you all have a great day!

Alright, just follow steps 1 and 2 from this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2301259
I haven't used it myself but you should keep apps and data and be stock unrooted. If you have any issues or questions you can ask me or the OP of that thread.

I figured it would have removed the root access and the TWRP recovery and leave it in a mostly stock state.

The previous link worked. First OTA didn't go so well but got everything worked out. Appreciate everyone's help.
OTA_M7_UL_K44_SENSE60_MR_TMOUS_5.14.531.1_R-4.19.531.10_release_373019xng22l97gj5szmwv.zip

From the size of the file you can tell it's just the OTA package and not the whole RUU.

Thanks! This is great. Can this be flashed through TWRP? Any S-On/S-Off, or stock recovery specifications?

Sorry! I didn't mean to give snark remarks to raise my ego/post count! I simply answered the question the way I understood it. I was wondering the same and when I started the download and saw the size I got the answer and shared it.

No you need stock recovery.
Just to be clear
If I put in stock recovery then I can flash this in fastboot mode? DO I need to extract it. I'd really like to get the radio from the update--I'm S on and have a custom ROM. DO I need to go back to stock? Feel free to use snark when you respond, but a legit answer plus snark is perfectly karmicly acceptable given my question. THanks.

You are S-On it means you cannot flash radio in it's own.
What you need to do is go back to stock ROM and stock recovery and wait for ota or if you cannot wait force stock recovery to flash ota from phone.
Anybody have or know where I can find the standalone radio/firmware/hboot? Thanks.
I'm looking for just the firmware update as well. No one seems to have it yet.

Your not giving us much to go on... what radios, hboot, S flag status, and ROM... and a logcat would be nice as well.

what hboot, radios, and firmware version do you have? You would have to be at 4. something firmware for it to work properly.
since lollipop dropped today, I want to update. When I go into the download process all goes well, but when it starts flashing it, the progress bar lights up, starts going, then goes away and I'd get the red triangle. At which point I restast and it says it failed, try again later. I'm wondering if my recovery isn't up to date, but I can't find one for 3.42.502.1. If someone can upload or link me one I'd be grateful. Thanks in advance,
-John
Alright I answered this one myself. Had to do a bit of digging, but here's a 3.42.501.1 Stock Recovery
