Waterproof case/bag? - Huawei Ascend Mate 2

I'm working on the beach again this summer and would love to stop messing around with ziploc bags. Is there anything that would fit this -with- a Cyclops on? I'd really like something fairly snug fit as opposed to a 7" tablet bag.

They make this for Ascend Mate 7 so it might fit. Check the dimensions.

Cheap Hurley Sleeves

Here are some sleeves that fit perfect for our G-tablet. I found them at Marshalls for only 12$. Online they sell for about 20-30$! There made for the Ipad but work great. There are a couple of different colors to.
I got the one on the right...almost a perfect fit, it seems like the gtab is a teeny bit taller than the ipad so it's kind of tight at either end. Also has a thick, plush padding which is really nice. No pocket for any accessories though - just a plain and simple sleeve.
I also thought it was a little tight at first so I decided to look in the sleeve and sure enough there was a small demoisture bag inside! The memory type foam that's used for padding is awesome. My wife dropped the g in the sleeve twice from about 5 ft. and it still survived.

Case or No Case?

I took my device out of my Caseen case in order to do my downgrade/root...yes I know I didn't need to take it out, but I did.
I forgot how light and nice it is to have such a thin device. It got me thinking that I might not want to use a case that often. What do you think?
I'm a kind of a no case guy, but since it is my favorite expensive toy I'm going to try to keep it in the case as much as possible. The good thing about cases like the one you have, is that it is wonderful to use when you are on a flat surface, no need to hold the tablet or break your neck looking straight down.
I think the answer is both. For home use, I prefer not to have it in a case, enjoy the tablet for what it is. If you plan on taking it on a trip or to work, then put it in a case for that extra protection.
I plan on getting one of the ones posted in another thread where it holds both tablet and dock but other than that, no. I would but it would be annoying having it on and off to use the dock
The best case is the keyboard dock

I just got the 300 and I'm loving it. I agree that the best case is the dock but it worries me that some people have posted about the screen getting cracked when docked. I wonder if this happens when you put the tab with the keyboard in a bag and pressure is applied to the screen. If you read the tf201 forums some users have attached rubber or silicone bumpers to the dock to spread the pressure along more points. As for me I'm going to add the silicone bumpers and leave it docked. My ideal case would be a snap on hard plastic case for the back of the tab and leave it docked so that the back is protected by the case and the screen by the dock. I have yet to see a snap on case for the 300
I'm thinking of buying the Roocase or the Poetic case and cutting off the case in half so I can then use the part that covers the back only and leave the tab docked. Not sure how it will look but its the only way I can think of getting what I want.
I don't like cases. I got a good bag to carry it around in. When it's in my hands I want it as light as possible. Ruins the comfort and functionality of having a tablet if you increase the weight with a case, IMO.
^^^^^yup
Il just get a carrying bag

No.. no case! This light, thin tablet placed in ugly thick case..
Agree with Raul69.atl, best case is dock and just take care of device)
The main reason I get the case is to use it as a kickstand for watching movies or if i using at a table or desk. but i got one thats fairly easy to take out, so if I'm carrying it around the house, I take it out.
I ended up just encasing mine with Armorsuit gear and carrying it around like that. I much prefer it without the case. I would like a stand though. Any suggestions for a stand?

Yeah, there were some screen cracking issues with the Prime but that was a fault of a bad weight and pressure distribution when docked. If you compare the two docks side-by-side, you can tell that ASUS redesigned the TF300's so as not to have that problem. and as for a case I love sleeves. exactly like those laptop sleeves that lots of people get, but in 10" size. thats what I recommend.

Case = Piece of mind for me since I am so clumsy. I also agree that it is good to use as a stand for movies and surfing.
I went back and fourth myself over this issue. What I ended up doing with my 7” HTC Evo View 4G tablet was to get a case that's just the plastic part of the 360° style case, without the big hole in the middle to rotate of course. It's lightweight yet protects the corners and back. I'm hoping that type of case will be available by the time my red TF gets here.

With case! It's a €400,- device and would hate to get it broke or lots of scratches on it. But depends which kind of case because you got really thick ones which I think dont hold as good. The thin ones I think are better.
A advantage of a case (not all of them) is that you can use it as a stand for the tablet.
If you want to use it without a case but want to store it safely, why not use a 10" sleeve.
I just use a sleeve. Its easiest, and unless I get an otterbox like case this thing is gonna break if I drop it anyways. I just use sleeves and padding for when its in my bag
I love how sleek my TF300 is and I tried a couple of different cases but did not like the bulk they added. I agree that the keyboard dock is the best solution for docking and I bought one of those sleeves from Amazon and use it when i have to carry it around.
i just purchased a moko case and let me tell you. when i was on a plane flying back home from NTC, i wish i had done so sooner. lol
I actually went a few days without a case when i first got my Pad....i usually dont use a case for any devices as i am usually VERY careful with them. however, the Pad almost seemed to thin and light without a case and i was always very scared of dropping it. day 1, walking from my work to my car, i had a death grip on the thing...lol
needless to say, i got a case (moko slim multi-angle one off amazon for $15...well worth the $$ IMO) and it has been great. Gives that extra protection when i want it, a great multi-angle stand for watching videos or normal use (placed it on my lap and browsed with it last night) and it is actually fairly thin and light still. even without it on the "stand" it is easier to hold due to the grooves on the back.
it's so nice i may never take it out of the case again....especially since i have Tile floors throughout my entire house....lol
Sure glad I had a case on mine when my 2 year old threw it straight down onto the hard wood floor the other day! It's a Moko case.

Excellent holster, case, kickstand combo for Galaxy Note i717

Hi everyone,
Not sure if this is allowed here on XDA but I learn a lot here and I wanted to give back a little. I have been researching for the utmost case for my beloved note and I finally found this case that i love. http://amzn.to/ZzDsJ3 and at $10 it's super inexpensive.
The built quality is excellent.I would say its on par with the best cases out there. The material is mat finish which is very nice.
It stands up like a kickstand to watch movies on etc, that works very well for me on my desk.
It also comes with a belt clip holster. I know it looks old fashion 2005 already but I don't care, It is very functional. The note does not fit properly in my back pocket, it's always falling out or in my other jeans have buttons and may scratch the screen. It does not fit in my front pant pocket without hurting my thigh and I can't drive like that. Placing it in my jacket pocket is also a recepie for it falling very soon, in fact mine has called out of my jacket pocket a few times luckily on carpet. Some jackets have zipper pockets which WILL also scratch the note when trying to place it in and out of the pocket. So finally with this I can put it on my belt using this holster case, , turn it horizontally and that's it, I forget about it and won't even feel the weight when I have a belt on. I can sit down and get up, get in and out of the car, drive and never feel it. I don't have to take it off while driving anymore and that's very convenient I never forget about my phone left behind in my car and it never rolls under the seat when I am driving.
So I found this case and I am very happy with it. I ordered with a few other things to go over $25 and got free shipping from amazon too.
I'm on my ipad now but when I get a chance I will post pictures. I just got this today on Christmas  :good: very happy with it.
I like the androidified tpu case.

Soft Neoprene Sleeve Zip Case Cover 11.6 - 12.5"inch Chromebook Laptop Netbook

Soft Neoprene Sleeve Zip Case Cover 11.6 - 12.5"inch Chromebook Laptop Netbook Review
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=131282464412&alt=web - 6.99GDP
I purchased this pouch from ebay as I needed something to keep my tablet in whilst I decided what permanent solution I was going to have. I chose red and black but there is different options available.
It came in a large envelope and was not folded. Last time I purchased something this size it was folded and left a nasty fold in the middle.
The pouch is of good quality and my tablet fits in comfortably. The zips feel strong and not like these cheap ones that split open and fall apart.
The pouch is strong enough to keep it free from scratches if you're transporting it in bags and briefcases, however it probably won't protect it from drops and knocks, especially dropping from height. It most certainly won't stop the screen shattering if something was to land on it.
The outside is a soft and smooth stretchy material and the inside is made of something similar except has a slight flocking to it to protect the case of the tablet and screen.
PROS: Cheap and quick solution to keeping your pride and joy safe, good quality, decent zips and materials
CONS: Won't protect from strong knocks and bumps.
I need one of those! Does this Note Pro 12.2 fit tight in there or is it loose? Thanks!
dja2k
It's not so tight as it's hard to close and it's not loose enough for it to move about. But what I have done is take the keyboard from my keyboard case combo and fit them both in the sleeve.
I think comfortable is the word.
Ah nice! Good to see more people using a sleeve Much more practical than a flipcover.
I've got a similar one, but it's from Samsonite, and it's for 13.3 laptops. This one's the one I've got: http://www.samsonite.co.uk/colorshi...13.3inch-dark-brown-turquoise/58130-2079.html
Also fits my keyboard and a ton of other stuff, pictures are in the Accessories thread.
Those aren't sold in the US though, so this is a great option for those who want one.

Do you think I can manage it to fit with one of these Fosmon DURA-FRO Ultra Slim Fit Case on it? Thanks!

I am strangely attracted to that. I read in one of your previous reviews or accessories you have a messenger bag from the same people. But at £80 ish it's a pretty large investment. Fair enough ill be protecting my tablet, but will look about for a cheaper version first! But it's definitely on my wish list.

I have something similar to this. It fits well on my tablet. I got mine on ebay for a couple of quid so if it didn't fit then I wouldn't have lost much. If you can take the plunge and write a review. I'm sure others would be interested in your opinion of it.
I have some ebay bucks coming my way on April 1st, so I am gonna hold of til then to order one of these. In the meanwhile I had gotten this one 11.6"/12.1" Black Neoprene Notebook Laptop Sleeve Bag Pouch which will have to do til then. Thanks!

Caseless holster options?

Has anyone come across a holster/belt clip that doesn't require a case? I got one from Amazon, but the case is so giant, that without it the DT2 basically falls out of the clip.
I know Seidio made one for old Turbo, hopefully they release one for this one also eventually, but for now hoping for something sooner.

I am using the holster from my Turbo 1 Dilex Pro case. The naked Turbo 2 fits great in this holster.
Thanks for the response! It's snug in the T1 Dilex? No wobble? I tried some other T1 cases and it wouldn't even fit, and the T2 clips I found so far only work with giant heavy-duty protection cases.
I ended up using this one daily for now, with very good results, the Bomea Premium Leather Case for the Turbo, found it on Amzn. I actually find that since it's larger, being horizontal makes it feel less bulky on the side. But it's not great with a wider jeans belt, only with dress belts.

Yes Its snug in the T1 Dilex holster. No wobble at all. I'm happy with it. Even if they came out with a holster for the "naked" phone I wouldn't get one. This works fine for me and since I already had it there is no point for me to spend anymore money.
I actually used the Blackberry Priv leather holster. It's fits wonderfully as they are comparable in size. Here are the measurements in mm: Priv: 147x77.2x9.4, Droid Turbo 2: 149.9x78x9.2
