Hey guys, i tried to search for this thru XDA and google but couldnt find anything.
I current have a s6 edge sm-g925I (which i believe is the international firmware) - due to certain Australia laws i guess, certain options have been removed. IE the Call connect tone when dialing out or ending a call. / Shutter sound in camera.
I was wondering are there firmwares out there which have these option are are compatible to install via ODIN without rooting?
Also, what happens if i install a sm-g925F firmware to a sm-g925I phone?
Thanks
Richie

I have the same question , did you find the answer? I want to get s6 edge which has a network brand firmware but want to install the generic international firmware if possible?

Ronaldo_9 - I did get a Carrier branded S6 Edge and managed to flash a generic International firmware using Odin
This removed any branding from the carrier. However doesnt add specific setting options
1) NO Camera Shutter sound option
2) NO Call connect Tone option
3) NO Alphabetical Sort option in App drawer
These may be due to Australian laws or Samsung having law suits pending due to patents etc.
Not sure - I have found an International firmware which have the above options.
Hope this helps
Thanks for the reply.
Did this void warranty? is it a simple case of flashing any firmware that is for my model SM-G925F?
I have UK vodafone(unlocked) version which is missing wifi calling option that EE network offers. did you have to unlock bootloader and root? I want to keep the phone stock and keep warranty if possible by flashing back original firmware .
I asked the question on http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-edge-sm-g925f-flashing-carrier-free-t3099991
Hi, I have a question.
I Have de 925i version, CSC CHO (Chilean Open), but I want to change to another firmware (international). I don't care if I miss some features (wifi calling, etc)
My question:
Can I change the firmware to another with diferent CSC with no problems through Odin?
I have this version G925IDVU1AOE3 and now they released, for example, G925IDVU1BOF7.
If I install this last version, I don't have any problem?

If you root these things can be added with Root Explorer and a Text Editor. You can root without tripping the Knox counter nowadays so I suggest that.
Please don't try to flash any firmware that isn't specifically for the SM-G925I.

As long as they are both for the G925I you'll be just fine.
Thanks...

So I recently bought Samsung Galaxy S2, coming from iPhone it's quite tricky when it comes to firmwares. My phone is the I9100G white model and I accidentally tried to flash the I9100 ICS firmware update.. But after researching on the net I was able to flash it back to the GingerBread firmware via Odin software. My query is that will I be able to get and install official firmwares from Samsung or not directly through KIES, if not than how can I shift back to the original firmware for my device which would work on KIES update.. Lastly has ICS been released for I9100G model as yet or not??? Your help would be much appreciated..!!
ics has not yet been released for the original firmware 9100g need to know from which country the sgs2
It's a UK Handset!

I9100 SGS2 is international version and doesn`t matter from which country you bought
I9100G isn't distributed by any of the networks in the UK or even sold direct by any major retailer (well, maybe one). You should be able to check your IMEI somewhere like here to see where it's from.
ROM
Can you recommend any other custom ROM for I9100G model.. I have come across many ROMs for the I9100 but not the I9100G one..

If you haven't flashed custom ROMs or updated your firmware yet, your build number in the About Phone screen will (sort of ) tell you. It's a code that can be deciphered.
What is the build number?

XW is a generic Europe code that could be many countries (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Nordic, Spain, United Kingdom).
LA1 means it was build 1 in January of 2012.
I believe you can further narrow down what country by finding your CSC by typing *#1234# into your dialer.
is india or bangladesh
I think you should be able to flash through Kies when you revert to the stock ROM. Here is a list of official I9100 firmware, I guess you could find yours in there.

Yea exactly, thats what i want to know how can you revert back to the original firmware that would work with KIES..
Sent from my GT-I9100G using XDA
Two options.
1) Original firmware that came with phone; search for said firmware on Samfirmware.com, flash according to any instructions they have for flashing firmware downloaded from their site.
2) Latest stock firmware you'd normally get via Kies; get the PC version of Checkfus (search for it on XDA/Google). This will allow you to download the latest firmware for your phone/carrier/country that you'd normally get via Kies (might be the same firmware which came with the phone, depends on whether carrier has pushed a firmware update since or not). Flash this firmware you download following the instructions in Intratech's firmwares threads on here.

Hi there. I just took a look at the firmware you flashed and seen the problem straight away.
I9300XXBLH1 Download (Thanks To SamMobile!)
Base Firmware: I9300XXBLH1 (4.0.4)
Region Europe
Country: Nordic Countries
Carrier: Unbranded
Build Date: 31 July 2012
Modem: XXLH1
CSC: NEEBLH1
Change List: 928452
Notice above that the region says Europe. And for it to work on Indian Networks it needs to be an Indian Unbranded firmware.
So the reason it because of the Region you downloaded was not the one needed.
I would advice either going back to the firmware you had before, or finding an Indian Official Firmware mate.
Hope this has helped

Don't panic I have been there and done that.
You should be able to not enter a code and still use the phone offline. If you can do that you should be able to access the functions and see if the ROM is rooted, if it isn't grab yourself a copy of the toolkit http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703488 and use it to root the ROM. Once you have done that you will be able to access root functionality and allow you to run applications such as http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846451&highlight=voodoo
Good luck ROM warrior. hopefully you will unlock your device and join us in the promised land.
Personally I got fed up of that shift a while ago so i started buying unbranded phones.

Hi ..Just to let you know that is not true.... I live in Zimbabwe (Southern Africa) were the firmware is XEF.... I am using BTU british firmware in Africa without any problem and getting british updates. I know a lot of people who use all sorts of different country versions in their country... As long as your rom version matches your csc it will be fine. If it doesnt then one can manually change the csc and get official updates of the new firmware version.
Cheers

Hi,
I have a Samsung S9+ Unlocked (MXO) Is possible to change the CSC code in order to get updated quickly? It is still on September update.
Check at https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s9-plus/SM-G9650/MXO/ here you can select the CSC you want and check which CSC got more recent update, but it seems mostly all are on same page/patch...
But changing CSC may result in some extra problems mainly warranty, VOLTE and SPay and all..
Since your seems not snapdragon you may have more options in hand..
But think before changing CSC as if you opted samsung they u have already taken decision to bare slow stream of updates.... and oreo is not yet near so why in hurry...

yes, you are right. my model number is SM-G965F.
Then should be okay flashing India firmware because it's the same model number.
if i done successfully then will i get regular updates by OTA.
Supposedly, except if there's change in Samsung policy. I think they just check model number and rooted status. And if you flash any official firmware, still registered as non rooted.

You dont have to change the CSC, just flash an unbranded EUX rom.
DTM is, where the phone was activated, if i remember it right.
If i flash a orignal EUX Firmware.
I still have waranty and the status is official ?
Should i go with Odin ?

Since different people are asking different questions, let me post what I know and can help you.
1. You are trying to change CSC from A to B which belongs to same model, can be easily done using SamFW tool or you can also try Samsung shell exploit from S22 forums.
2. U to U1 can be cross flashed using patched odin, which will change csc too.
3. If you are trying to do cross flashing means your model no doesn't match the model no of CSC you want to have like XAA to INS then sorry it's not possible.
