Amazon: Returning defect S6 Edge AT&T - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After reading all of the problem are having with defective Gold GB32 S6 Edge, I was glad I didn't have any to worry about. Today I took it out of my case to clean the back (it had dust) and I noticed there was glue sticking out of the side. I cleaned the glue but the whole left side is lift a tiny bit.
I am not sure if it was because my phone was getting warm a lot or if it was already there. I did check the phone when I open the box but I don't believe it got so warm that it started separating in the back.

Standing Clear View case causing scratches?

Ive heard some complaints of people saying that the Standing Clear View cover is causing scratches on the screen in the corner area where the circle on the lid of the cover is. Is there anyone here that has experienced this? Also, could you post pictures of the scratches?
If you've used the cover for some time, and DONT have scratches from the circle, I would love to hear from you too.
For how long have you used the cover? Do you keep your phone with other stuff in your pockets/purse/whatever? Are you happy with it?
Yep just noticed them recently. They appear as a cluster of horizontal light scratches in the area of the magnet. Took it to Samsung store and the first thing they ask is am I pressing down on the magnet...
I've used the clear view cover since I got the phone 3 months ago. No scratches on the phone's screen, but the outside of the cover has a couple scratches now.
Usually have the phone in my (relatively clean) pocket.
I guess it's something to look out for if you're near sand or such like, but it isn't a problem on normal days.
Yes - scratches where the disc touches the screen. It's possible that around the disc dirt got in and I didnt notice. I do clean off the screen and the slightly rubberised inside daily but I still noticed scratches. Also the rubber coating on the inner left side (the bit with the disc) is starting to come off on the screen. A few times every day I have to clean the screen of this coating in the 4 corners.
I've had the case on since day one. nearly a year now. Very annoyed that a £50 case has done this.

Paint chipping

Anyone suffered any of the paint coming off their s9? Despite being in a Spigen Rugged Armour case abs and not dropped a tiny bit of the black paint has come off the left hand bottom corner
No issue on my device...still looks brand new
I have a similar thing happening to me my phone has always been in a case and the paint is coming off from the fingerprint sensor, I took it to ubreakifixit and they said is not covered under warranty

Same thing same phone. But it works.
Actually you have to clean the case time to time,As dust gets stuck which can scratch the paint easily
Mine has a little chipped paint around the band very small but it shows silver. Not a big deal just irritating could take back since only had five days but not worth the hassle.

Rear Glass panel lifting of back of Huawei P20 lite

Recently I noticed the rear top right hand blue coloured glass was lifting of the rear of the phone. I don't know if this is a problem with the adhesive or if I damaged it. Has anyone else got this problem ? And what would you recommend I do ?
Can you sort’ve see the inside of the phone?
Sounds like the glue may have just come loose. Try take a hairdryer and warm the back up to melt the glue a little and see if it sticks back down.
The back comes off quite cleanly if you melt it and pull it off. It doesn’t “clip” down. There’s only glue holding it in place.
I’ve taken the back of mine quite a few times and haven’t had to replace the adhesive so there shouldn’t be any harm IF it’s only lifting because of the glue not sticking properly.

Same problem, started today.
Will try hairdryer tomorrow.
Cheers for the heads up.

unicorn beetle case issues

so, i have the unicorn beetle case for my S9 (and my fiancee's S9 as well) and this oil slick thing happened between the plastic of the screen protector and the phone screen. Ive cleaned the inside with windex, professional strength spray foaming g;ass cleaner, 98% isopropyl rubbing alcohol, dawn dish soap and warm water, dawn and cold water etc etc etc, ive even used a hair dryer to get it fairly warm and to allow the air to help move any water molecules from any pits in the plastic. In short, ive done a ton to this [email protected] thing and it persists. My fiancees case is fine and the older kiddos case for the A8 he inherited from me is the same brand and a year older than my case and has zero problems. I work in an office and dont get the phone near grease ever, so im baffled about where the oily stuff is coming from.
Looks like to me that it is moisture, maybe heat from the phone, humidity etc.
That is definitely moisture under the screen protector. If you already cleaned it and it came back, you will need to get new screen protector because this one has opening for water to enter and that can't be fixed

thanks guys. this was my first plastic film style case with built in screen protector thingy. Wasnt a fan at first, got used to it and then this happened. Ive since order ed a new case, which obviously fixed the issue. The case is fairly cheap, its just a shame the plastic part only lasted that long. Thanks for the replies guys, the accessories area of a phones forum is usually a wasteland lol
I have been using one for the past 6 months on my Galaxy S9 and I've had no such issues. The only times this would happen was when I would wipe the screen with alcohol and a portion would get into the sides at the top.
The only reason that would happen is you got the phone wet at some point and the water found its way through the cut-outs. Of course, with no way to evaporate, it's probably going to stay there unless you remove the plastic cover clean it, dry it then return it.

How is your Fold holding up?

Figured I'd start a thread to see how everyone was fairing with their Fold. I'm taking it on a month test run while I travel overseas in Japan and so far it's been a mixed bag. Coming from a Note10+, I greatly appreciate the larger unfolded screen. However, I know this is a device you need to baby, unlike that Note10+. Of course I'm using the case that came with it and I have even bought a microfiber soft pouch to keep it in while it's in my pocket, to ensure that dirt, debris, and pocket lint stay out of it. That being said, there are already numerous scratches on the internal screen. I know it's a soft plastic and to be expected but I'd hope I could last at least one month with out any. At least you can't see the scratches when the screen is on. Keeping the screen clean of finger prints has also been a struggle and I feel my cleaning it has attributed to a scratch or two. Overall, my feelings towards the Fold are one of enjoyment but I feel that I should have stuck with my Note10+ for this trip as it is more durable.
The hinge on my first Fold started to become loose. I thought it was the factory case sliding around, but it was the device itself. The hinge had enough give when the fold was closed, that it caused the soft plastic edge to rub. Super annoying. The replacement was rock solid for about a week, but now I'm starting to notice a little creaking as well.

Thankfully my hinge is still solid, but that's disappointing given their publicity of how sturdy the hinge is supposed to be.
I've had mine over a month now and have no scratches. I was using the aramid fibre case until last week when I bought a Spigen thin case. That has a ridge around the camera bump so that it offers a little more protection to the camera lenses when you put it down, but other than that offers about the same protection.
I don't have any scratches on the inner display, and I just put it in my pocket as normal, but I do tend to blow the screen when I open it before I use it to remove any dust and debris so that my finger doesn't drag particles around. That's probably habit from all of the plastic screened smartphones before everything went glass.
One thing on cleaning cloths though, when people say microfiber, there are the fkuffynines, and the smooth ones, use the latter, it's harder for particles to stick to the cloth. The fluffy kinds trap dust and dirt and turn in to sandpaper pretty quickly. Never use that kind on plastics even if they feel softer.
As for the hinge, yes, they will all have a little bit of play in them after several days of use. Samsung have said this is normal. A hinge with a little play in it will last longer on something that is being opened and closed a lot.
