for example i have 10 diferent videos, on each video i wrote a number in a paper,
i play the video, i pause it before reveal the paper of the video,
i put the phone in the hand of a spectator, the phone turns fake locked after 10 seconds,
meanwhile i told some one to say a number, lets say he say 9
i then told him to play the video, he find its locked, i told him the unlock code (1009) and then the video thats ready to play is the one that shows the 9
if he says number 7 then i told him to unlock with 1007 then the video played will be the one showing the number 7 in the paper,

In "Messaging", how do I get my own photograph to display with the "Me" messages? I would have thought it would read the picture under "Own Number" in contacts, but it doesn't.
And "Me" is rather childish, is there a way to change it to my actual name?
Yeah the only way to get the pic to show is to use the "Me" contact. Id like to know how to change to actual name too
ok this is tricky. the "Me" contact works IF and only IF your SIM card knows its own phone number. which generally does not. to check this, from home, goto
menu / settings / phone info (latest choice) / Phone status (2nd choice)
you should see somewhere in this page your own phone number.
- if you see it you simply create a "Me" contact with your own phone number, gather some picture somewhere and there you go.
- if you don't see your number (most likely you will see an entry like "MSISDN = Unknown") you have to teach your sim card its own phone number.
to do so you will need an (eeeek!!!) iphone, or a winMo phone, or some really really really old phone from the days when Snake was like angry birds. you will then have to fiddle with the settings (this is the trickiest part. i guess your best bet is googling something like "write MSISDN on SIM with <phone name>"). for Windows mobile phones, for example, you open the Sim Manager program and it's there somewhere.
remember to write your number with the +xx international dialing code.
then you can proceed to creating your "me" account and up and running you are!
I insrtalled dutys turbo on my touch hd - had htc sim manager did the job.
prior to that I went fro 345 back to 318 to get at dell streak simmanager. reflashed 345 but could not get the simmanager fro 318 to install. any idea how to install dells simmanager on 345? just wondering if that would do as good as old htc phone n manager
I've tried the iPhone fix, no ball, I'm not sure, but I think there's something about my telco's SIM's that don't have this feature, although the best I can get out of an aussie telco is "it's nothing I've heard of so maybe it's a handset feature, call DELL."
Gah, I hate it when I know better than the dolt with the buttons…
Does anybody know of any other ways to write a MSISDN number to a SIM card?
Hello, i'm wondering how it works cause weird entry shows in my account... I had two i9100, i can see the one i use now, however i don't see the other one (which was sent back a month ago), instead i see another i9100 entry with same IMEI as 1st one and it's recorded as of 23th december..? What should i understand..?
Older phones i got more than 6 months ago still show up in my dashboard so why that i9100 is not..? Last thing, some of those old phones i had have their "last activity" recorded date way after i sold/returned them... Like a month later. How can it be explained..?
These phones weren't destroyed, someone still use them now so if "last activity" records whenever the phone's connected, no matter the account, the last date should be much closer to december! If you don't get it, read again, it's clear..
Please anyone?
Open Firefox (or any java script enabled browser, chrome is good) and login to your Google account and then open play store. Now open your Web console by pressing shift +k (in Firefox, or f12 I think in chrome) in the Web console enter "initprops.devices" and hit return this will list all your devices along with your device's unique android id, whatever is after g is your id. Now you can check your android of your phone from your phone by dialing *#*#8255#*#*, in the window that pops up search for device id, whatever is after "android-" is your phones unique id. Now match the ids and find out!

I went on playstore, was already logged, i pressed F12/Console/then typed what you said : NOTHING CAME.
In Firefox you've to type it to search the key! I guess in chrome you've to search for "initprops.devices" manually! Find it and it'll be there!

Hi everyone
I'm looking forward to buy a new phone and i'm stuck between lovely lumia 920 and iphone 5
Can u guys give me a quick review about negative points of this phone? I mean in your own opinion.
And what are possible ways to install apps ,free or paid, on this phone?
Tnx so much

I am going to answer simply becuase I am courteous. The MS store is just like the Android Market or the iPhone app store. There are paid apps and free apps. Although most of the better stuff has to be paid for and the prices run from about 2 bucks and up.
Negative points? Hmm let me think...... It's not an iPhone.. Seriously, why would you want to be a sheeple? Nearly everyone and their mother owns an iPhone. Be original..
Seriously though our views of this phone are all subjective.. For example if you read some of the gripes posted such as the light leak which only shows from and extreme angle that you would never look from, or the creaking sound when you press on or flex the case which you should not be doing, or the shade of difference between the white of the display and the capacitive button back lights. These to me are all trivial things and just sounds like disgruntled buyer having remorse for some reason and now are picking the phone apart.
For me who has owned several models of HTC, Motorola, Nokia, and have had experience helping to program and update some Samsung devices, I have to say the L920 is the best built, fastest and smoothest operating phone I have seen yet.
My only beef with the phone which i have posted a thread about is it's lack of having a Flash Player. You can not view embedded Flash media in websites. To view Youtube you have to install a third party app. Adobe no longer supports mobile devices as of last year. So this phone was built with the anticipation of all sites converting to HTML5 and doing away with Flash. However that may be some time and until sites you like convert, you may not be able to view them on this phone if the have flash content. Is this a deal breaker? For some maybe. For me had I known this before I bought it, it would have been a deal breaker. But I am now stuck with it and will just have to wait till YT and other site convert if they ever do. The plus is that no phone created past last year will have the ability to view flash with out third party apps. So this may prompt sites to convert faster.
actually, to view Youtube video, you don't really need to install third party app (MetroTube for example), YouTube mobile site support HTML5 itself, just like VEVO, VIMEO, ... Just browsing YouTube via IE on your phone and enjoy your favorite apps.
About installing apps, there are some ways (easy to use):
- using WindowsPhone (WP) store app: find your app and choose install.
- using WP store (web version):
+ find your app, choose install -> app will be sent to your phone (wirelessly) and installed automatically.
+ download app, copy to SD card and install from your phone.
- unlock your phone and install any apps you could find on the internet.
Can someone please explain me why even after the new update of the game for supporting 512 RAM phones i still can not install it on my HTC 8S?
I've tried changing the region from US to UK but the game doesn't appear when i search it in the Store.I've downloaded it to my pc and transfered it to my phone and now it appears on the list for the unsupported app's.
Some idea maybe? Can someone confirm the installation on a HTC8S please?

I`ve got instructions from Microsoft how to install the game but when it comes to the part where it takes me to the Windows Phone Store i get an error: "There has been a problem completing your request.Try again later. Error code:805a0194"
Someone with an idea maybe?
@cevi that error message pops up when your account cannot be authenticated by the system . Login to PC ensure time zone , location all match up and then try again

Click to collapse
The problem is that i can not see the game in the Store at all.Like it has been erased from there. If this is because of the setting that you mentioned can you please give me more specific way how to change that information in the PC and Phone.
Thanks.
You know what`s most weird in the whole situation? There is no single user of a 512MB RAM Phone who can confirm that he installed this game.Even the commentaries on the Game`s review page are so poor like "Works great thanks", "Great game" and similar. No one specifies his device for the confirmation.
Just to make my point. This is the thread that i started on the HTC 8S forum here on XDA.1581 views till now and no single confirmation or even a smiley face. So you tell me what would be the problem.
The game requires 1 GB of RAM.
And what about the 2 week dust all around from Gameloft that now the game can run on these phones?Maybe another marketing trick?Anyway thanks for the reply. Will consider next time for playing their games.

Hi all,
My technologically illiterate parents are moving from IOS to Android (their iPhone6 touchscreen is intermittently unresponsive again, 3rd time it's been replaced, a friend gave them a used Nexus 4) and they're struggling with the phone app. Not wanting to start a war, but I'd like something really simple, big buttons, no features other than the basics.
To refresh the Nexus 4, I downloaded and installed CyanogenMod 13. My parents like the phone but hate the interface for the telephone/dialler. I had a look through the play store and found many phone/dialler apps, the simplest one is the IOS9 dialler but it's not very responsive, can take a few seconds to answer and hang up. It doesn't appear to replace the android telephony app, only brings a window in front of it.
I have a HTC M8 and its dialler is brilliant, this is what I mean:
Outgoing call HTC, incoming call Nexus 4:

Incoming call HTC, outgoing call Nexus 4:
i.imgur.com/SdhplcD.jpg
See how the HTC is really intuitive (even better than IOS), - huge green button to answer, huge red button to hang up and words on the mute and speaker icons. No need to slide anything in a direction you don't know until your finger is on it. The HTC contacts are easy to use, the keypad is always a left or right swipe between contacts and keypad.
While surely many people like the Marshmallow dialler, it's not suitable for my parents and we don't want to buy another iPhone for them after all the failures they've had in the last 2 years. Can I somehow install the HTC dialler/telephone app on the Nexus 4, or a real replacement for the stock phone app with something simpler?
Thanks for reading
Anyone? Am I asking in the wrong forum?
