I already deleted my texts messages in hopes that this space would be freed up, well that didn't work. I've looked everywhere to find these, but no dice. Can anyone point me in the right direction of where these are so i can get rid of them and free up the space of 6.7GB???? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Maybe download this. I think it has a delete function also.

Guys.... would appreciate if anyone can guide or help me on this. I am absolutely sure that even after removing / uninstalling a software some files are left behind and hence the storage space doesnt quite come back to normal.... Can anyone suggest as to how should i reclaim that space or use a good uninstaller?
Thanks
I posted this over at AC and didnt get a nimble maybe someone here knows how to fix it. I was going to "bump" photos to a friend and in the photo section in that app it had a million photos that I have already deleted. I have looked in all the directorys I could think of and cant find these phantom photos. I want to delete them permanently. They are definitely deleted them from "my albums" and dont show up in there. Please help. Thanks!

I do not know much about the app outside of the basics, but is it possible that there is some kind of "bump cache" that it is pulling the images from and it is not getting cleared when you delete the image? Just a QUICK reading of the FAQ, it sounds like you need to update the information you want to share with each adjustment to that info.
Again, that was a quick read through and I may be wrong
and find this where?? there isnt a "bump" folder on my SD card. I have no clue where they r coming from
I dont have this app on my phone but, i would suggest un mounting and removing your memory card...go into your gallery (or what ever way your finding these phantom photos) and see if they are still there. I know this won't actually help you find them. It will just verify that they are in fact somewhere on your sd card... but which file..what are they named ??? i dont know. The permissions list for said app says it wants to modify contacts and other setting..maybe deleting and re-doing the particular contact that you sent all the photos to will fix it ? Again I dont know much about how files are stored or modified by apps that we put on our phone, but if I had this problem I would start there and if it is in fact some where on your sd then you could copy all files on your sd to a pc and at least if you delete something you weren't supposed to you could always copy that file back from said pc...just my .02 good luck I'm sure someone has also had this problem...when in doubt google can be your best friend sometimes!
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Well I just installed and reinstalled the app and that got rid of the pictures. Dont know where they were or anything but they r gone now. Resolved
hope this is in the right place.
I downloaded & installed this game to test it out...
Code:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cupra.rec&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5jdXByYS5yZWMiXQ..
but I now cant un-install it. if I go to app setting I can press un-install but it just doesn't remove it. I have app monster pro on my phone but the game doesn't show up under installed apps so cant use that to remove it. the game files take up 1gb of space & I want it back!
pls help?
EDIT> I managed to sort it myself, can a mod pls lock/delete this thread pls?
Install Titanium back, perhaps this program will see the game. Otherwise, just delete the files, so you have your space back.
Most of the time this works for me.

of course, I just deleted the game files on my sd card then once I had done that it simply un-installed easily from with in Appmonster pro. I think the un-installer was having trouble with the nearly 1gb in size game files
So, last night I was looking into trying out directory bind. While i was trying it out, i realized that i cannot see roughly half of my data for apps within sd card/android/data/<folder name>. If its not there, where is it?
I also notice for a few of them that if i go into those data folders, nothing is in them, while the app itself still works properly.
So my questions is where are is app data? And, how can i get it so i can see all of the app data? Directory bind is giving me errors because there appears to be nothing in the folders i am trying to bind. i get a popup that goes away so fast i cant even read it.
Because im new with it ive been trying it with simpler things like my flashlight app because i dont want to mess up anything i truly care about.
any advice anyone?
ive been using rooting 4.0.4
I asked this question in the Nexus 6 forum but didnt receive much input so I'd like to see if this is a better spot.
Im trying to figure out the best way to backup and restore data whenever I move to a different Rom.
Im wondering if some people could list the various steps they take to backup and restore everything.
Is everyone doing this manually....copying folders from SD card to your comp and then dragging back to SD card once new ROM is installed?
I understand how to use Titanium for apps but Im unsure how the best way to go about backing up and restoring media, texts, call logs, settings, downloads, etc.
Any help would be great. Thanks
Anyone? Help with this would be awesome. Thanks!
Not gonna lie, Im shocked I can't get even a little help here. Surely this could help the newbs out there.
The main issue is that most of that is system data and never advised to be restored. Sms can be done with 3rd party app. The rest is best left alone.
