Q: Change setting from tabs to list view - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

On the ATT version for some reason comes with the tabbed view of the settings menus. With no way to switch it to the list view. Is there a way to change to the list view using some sort of root method or CSC modification?

Hello guys, i come from HTC at Samsung and I'm a bit lost.
1. Is possible change dockbar icons, maybe complete apk shortcut...?
2. Is possible to change applications list to grid view and scroll vertical, not defaul by list left and right?
Hey BuzzFuzz
1. I don't think you can.
2. No, grid view only scrolls horizontal
I'm using LauncherPro, does both of these if you wanted to try a different launcher

Click to collapse
1. You mean changing the icon in dockbar for other apps? Yes you can, get into the Apps Lists -> press the Menu -> Edit -> then you change it
2. I don't think so
Hope I give the right thing

Where is homescreen layout located?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to create default homescreen layout in a custom rom. For example - I want to have phone and messaging icons in dock and web browser icon on desktop as a default setting the user will get after rom installation. Where to find settings for this?

Editing shape of quick settings icon

I just discovered that Android 7.x Nougat allows third party apps to add own icons/buttons to the list of available quick settings icons/buttons by specifying them in manifest file, but I don't know details, any idea? Tips? Links to read?
Does a quick setting icon require a "complete" app to work, or does it rely only on some kind of a link to a system feature? For example, if I want to add a new icon to toggle WiFi, would it be enough to create a dummy app with a manifest which points to WiFi enabling, or would I need to manually write the code to enable Wifi?
