Hi. Yesterday i had a problem installing a recovery from Cyanogenmod rom and i got the message of fast booting. I found a tutorial saying how to repair it and i followed it without any problem.
But now, when i boot the phone, y reach the "Android" bootanimation and it stays like that forever. What can be happening now? I had Cyanogen from Mik and flashed a stock froyo (now trying a stock gb, maybe that´s the problem)
Can i save the phone?
Greetings.
After flashing the stock GB, the phone remains the same, staying in the Android bootlogo for ever
Any idea?
You have to wipe data.
Via normal Android recovery? Because when i access to it it shutdowns :S
Yes, but after factory reset, phone should reboot.. For you it only shuts down?
Let´s see, i followed the tutorial and flashed a stock gingerbread (before a stock froyo).
Then, when i access the recovery , a little image with a box, a droid and a bar appears, but then it only reboots. There, when Android bootanimation shows, the phone stays like that for ever and i need to quit the battery.
Edit: I accesed the recovery, but i can´t push any option, only go up and down.
strange.. the bar need to load till end and then the phone reboots.
maybe you have to wait for longer at bootanimation? because the first boot takes longer.
if not, try to flash ROM again, with kdz.
Edit: the menu button doesn't work?
I flashed like 3 different roms and waited in one of them 7 hours to boot. When it access the recovery it appears a warning button and this:
Finding update package
Opening Update Package
Veryfing update package
E: Failed to read footer from /cache/ (is a directory)
E:signature verification failed
Installation Aborted

No, in that recovery i can only go up and down, any other button works. If i push home, the recovery dissapear, but then if i push it again it appears again. That menu offers the option to wipe data but i can´t do it.
Are you able to wipe everything?
data, cache, dalvik cache and battery stats.
No, that menu doesn´t work. I only can wipe cache and factory reset.
It appears the rom is well-flashed, but when it reaches the android logo it goes in a loop.
then wipe data and cache.
It resurrected! :O
I flashed a stock Movistar rom from America and it booted normally! Thank god
But i don´t understand why booted now and not later. Also, i couldn´t do anything it the recovery. Anyway, i can root it again because it´s a froyo.
Thank you.
Greetings!
yeah, it's strange that it didn't boot earlier with other ROMs.
anyway, congratz
GL
Yeah, it´s weird. I´m returning it back to Cyanogenmod 7+francokernel like it was before the brick. I know what made it: install ClockWorkMod Recovery, so i´ll stay with the old recovery i had.
Greetings!

well dude
if you would have just toggled the signature verification off
you would have no problem installing the ROM

Well I dont know how we turn off signature verification. I faced an idential issue using v10E firmware from this link. KDZ update was not able to find the phone in emergency mode. Second time I tried, it did flash the f/w fine.
I got the triangle with an exclamation mark and a droid below. Recovery menu (pressing HOME button) was useless as I could not select any option with any of the hard keys.
This is how I solved it - rebooted once to recovery mode(volumen DOWN + Home), and face a progress bar for a few seconds - rebooted automatically to the LG sign. This time phone booted fine!
Hi to all.
Recently I bought a L9 p760, flashed with v20c open stock and then rooted. I've installed some root apps, and playing with them I've accidentally make something wrong. At the first reboot of the smartphone the LGSystemUI.apk and the Keyboard.apk crash repeatedly, showing the error modal window at every second.
So I've proceed with the Hard Reset, and reboot again. At this point things were even worse. The SetupWizard procedure appears to me, but I'm unable to skip and go on, because of SystemUI and Keyboard frequently crashes. In addition to this, the SetupWizards.apk itself crashes at the end of the procedure, and then it re-runs again from the first screen.
Now, I think that flashing the rom again I could repair this problem, but the LG flashing tool working only with a booted device connected to PC in SW mode, condition that I cannot reach at all, cause I'm stuck to the SetupWizard screen.
Now, is there a way to flash a ROM using the recovery mode? (Vol+ + central button + power)
Thanks for any help!
I have tried to update my LG D620r to android lollypop, but whenever I try to do it over the phone it downloads the update and when it tries to install it, gets error 0x1111002.
Then I tried to update with the LG PC suite and the LG Mobile support tool, both times the phone tried to restart and displayed "Secure Booting Error! Cause: boot certification verify" followed by a purple screen that says "DBI apps Watchdog reset"
Besides that the phone runs fine with kitkat 4.4.2. I have tried factory reset 4 times, didn't help. The phone isn't rooted, though I have tried to root it using "towelroot", but it said the phone doesn't support it so I didn't try anymore.
For some reason my father could update his phone, even though we have the exact same phone.

I just checked my RCT before doing this and it says "Not rooted". Do I still need to make it forget or is this what it's supposed to do?

I meant the red warning.

You can't use FOTA updates because your /system partition has been modified. You will need to flash a KDZ of your device to restore the unmodified state.

You basically have to reinstall the entire phone operating system to reset it completely. The phone thinks you've modified the phone somehow (you probably did) and refuses to update it. Just do what he said ^, flash the KDZ:good:
I downloaded all the files to flash it, but when I try to go in to download mode it just says to hod volume up until download mode turns on and then gives me this: "Secure Booting Error! Cause: boot certification verify" again. Am I doing something wrong or is the phone broken? It also turns of a couple seconds after displaying that.

Reroot the phone and flash the unmodified laf partition.

Find the proper version and extract the laf from there.
Ok, so I tried rooting it but whenever it's supposed to go in recovery mode I just get the same Secure booting error
Hello! I have a strange problem. Phone is P710 with open eu V10E rom. Kids played with the unlock pattern, and no data connection, phone locked, can not enter past the pattern screen.
No problem, do a factory reset! Power off, button combination, green robot appears. Reboots, and again the pattern screen with the kid smiling on the background picture...
Of course no usb debugging enabled, so we ended in normal mode.
Tried stock recovery (with the lg service picture), but no menu, just the picture. Adb is present with $ prompt, so no root, data not mounted, and cannot mount without root.
Thought i will try fastboot erase data. Tried adb reboot bootloader, but no fastboot, just reboots to the pattern screen. Strangely adb reboot recovery also does'nt boot back to recovery, but to normal pattern lock screen.
Emergency mode works, thought i try to reflash stock rom. Downloaded V10J and V20C (from csmg), flashed with KDZ_FW_UPD. Progress is going ok, phone reboots at the end, and back to the pattern lock screen. Tried with diag, emergency, cs_emergency, no go.
Tried with LG Flash Tool 2014, the same pattern screen.
Then tried LG Mobile Support tool. It connected only in emergency mode. And the software version is STILL V10E !!! After flashing with V10J, V20C, and rootable V20A and V20C kdz from this thread.
Support tool prompted update to V20C, so i go for it. It told me, that need to update to jelly bean first, then to kitkat. Ok, go! Downloaded, finished update, and said to continue update to kitkat. Clicked continue, and it started over, again wrote that firt to jelly bean and then kitkat. Version remained the same V10E.
It seems, if it is some form of "simulate mode" enabled (cd writing softwares has this function), no real process is performed. No errors in any tools, absolute normal progress everywhere.
Any idea how to do factory reset? Or how I get out of this "simulation" mode?
One of KDZ_FW_UPG logs (seems OK, but V10E remains):

Hi,
I've the same issue, but instead I've access to phone with many crash from applications.
I tried everything: factory from settings, by keys combination, flash KDZ for upgrade and downgrade (all completed with no errors).
I would flash it by recovery but is phone is stocked and any modification goes away after reboot (seems right a live mode of Android).
I've check by adb and /data partition is mounted rw but I have not root rights to do other things.
Someone has found a solution?
Rooted my phone with a Kingroot app and I accidentally deleted files that won't allow me to do a factory reset (it goes into loop, I have to take the battery out to stop) and no main screen shows... so I downloaded a theme app to see the main screen.
I thought if I disable the kingroot app, I could run the factory reset...but wrong!! very wrong choice!!
My phone doesn't boot!! it goes into loop at the beginning (the T logo keeps spinning).
I can't go to a recovery mode but I can access a download mode... so I found few CWM recovery files, custom ROMs (all .tar files) run via Odin but all files failed with message saying;
for cwm recovery files " Lock operation failed"
for custom Roms "Complete (Write) operation failed"
I don't know what else I can try to fix this phone... any idea please??
