[Q] how to update to official lollipop - LG G2 Mini

hi,
i could anyone give me a complete guide from stock rom to the latest lollipop?
i tried flashing the kdz found here ( https://twitter.com/lg_firmware?lang=it ) using this tool ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190 ) but it ended up with a bricked phone. now i'm back to stock.
it seems some guys managed to update their devices manually, so could you just explain me how you did it?
i have a european D620r (LTE)
thanks

Did you choose the kdz for you model (I mean, maybe you picked D618 instead of D620)?
Have you done "CSE Flash" instead of "Normal Flash" while using Flash Tool?

Yes i did choose the correct model. And i also picked cse flash. But then am error came up in the middle of the process, the phone got stuck at the loading screen and i was unable to connect to the flash tool. In fact, i couldn't even restore a backup because my cwm recovery was gone. I don't want to try that again because it cost me 15 euro to get the phone repaired (flashed back to stock).

Phone stuck at LG logo

Hey guys
While using Rom Manager the application asked me to install clockwork mod recovery (although I had a previous version), it installed it (a newer version I guess) but then when I rebooted into recovery, I got the "emergency mode" screen for a couple of minutes. I removed the battery and put it back, restarted the phone but it got stuck at the LG logo. I tried the recovery combo (with volume-up key), and the other one (with volume-down key) but no result. So is my phone bricked ?
If repairing it requires the computer, please send me the drivers links because the ones from the LG website don't work properly for me. I'm on windows 7 64bits.
Please help guys.
Thanks.
Search it in hehappy thread he posted it there

I flashed the officiel firmware through KDZ, the device booted correctly but stopped at the "android" logo. I tried with another firmware image, same result. Then I thought about flashing cwm 5.0.2.0 with lgmdp, and then flashing a custom rom, using this tutorial here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318750 but it didn't help. When I try the recovery combo now, I get a loading screen from the recovery (a progress bar) for seconds and then the phone reboots.
Guys please help me I need to fix my phone. Any help is appreciated.

do you now how to use LGMDP???
Yes I tried with LGMDP I tried flashing a .kdz file, and tried flashing custom recovery. I'm not sure I selected the right folder, and not sure about the files for the custom recovery on LGMDP but it didn't work.
im uploading a zip inside zip it have a folder with V20I to flash by LGMDP.
you put your phone on emergency mode go to lgmdp connect to to phone and then in that window whre you put the path to recovery you flashed you will put the folder im uploading and then start flash phone when it finished it will reboots or turn phone off and you should be fine.
10m i give you link to V20I to flash by lgmdp

Flashing a kdz means stock rom and stock recovery. You'll have to re-root & re-flash custom recovery.
CWM 5.0.2.7 is reportedly buggy. Use 5.0.2.0 or better still, Amonra recovery which works flawlessly. Then you can go on to flash any custom ROM you like.
Hope this helps.

a) OTA update doesn't work with CWM. That's the reason you get stuck at first place.
b) What do you mean by "flash another rom also and reboot again back to CWM". Did you offline flash KDZ file, factory reset and it still go back to CWM? That is impossible as offline flash KDZ will definitely destroy CWM.
c) Be patient. People come here to help, but it take time.

Flashing other rom means i have few roms on ext sd. slimbean and cm . after flashing when i reboot it comes back to CWM .
I am not able to do offline KDZ flash as it is not able to detect phone.
Trying with LG mobile support tool now.
Had the same thing. Look up LG Mobile support tool. It will update your phone to the latest software version. Of course you will lose all data & root.
Finally got it working via lg mobile support tool.
Just out of curiosity what might have happened that system was not going beyond CWM.
Also what if i had the latest version of JB, still lg mobile support tool would have worked ??

I think you dont need to send it
Im not expert, but i think this will work. Flash v10a with offline flashing method, after the version you have now.
You will loose all data, but it needs to work.

Are you tried v10a first? choose emergency for it
Shut down your phone, press vol+ and connect it via USB to the PC. Then restore the host file you modified to upgrade with the offline method, go to LG support tool and select something like "restore upgrade error" it will erase everything and install a fresh LG fw based on your imei (maybe it will not install a Europe open version, but at least it will be a working one and from that point you'll be able to work and whatever you want)

[GUIDE] How to back out of KitKat to Jelly Bean? | Downgrade to JB LG G2

Many of you will have happened to them what to me, upgraded to VDF KitKat and then realized that root could not be and without root cannot modify anything.
You tried to Flash a ROM JB format KDZ and found out that you can't.
Behold the solution!!
Back to Jelly Bean in a LG G2
It is a bit laborious but simple
1.- Will have to follow the tutorial Manual LGFlashtool, here one is Spanish with pictures and everything, here hyelton LG G2 Stock Firmware (Go Back to Stock)
2.- Download the ROM TOT JB for your phone model: http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2
3.- Turn on the phone in mode Downloader, (Vol+ & USB to PC)
4.- Connect the phone to the USB port and start the downgrade
5.- When finished it will skip this message on the phone:
"Enter the PIN/password to decrypt"
[_____________________]
NOTE
There I was wrong, and I didn't know that, but I think that it must be the password for your Gmail account
As I have said, I'm wrong, because I turned off the phone, then I had to activate the keyboard from the status bar, enter Hidden Menu (in my case I have a D802 - 3845#*802#) and do a Factory Reset.
I'm not sure if it will erase everything by typing the correct code, including the SD, but when in doubt and always before flashing I recommend BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP...
Now you can already root install modified Recovery and install KK rooted from Recovery
Good lucky
Doesn't work for D805, have the ToT but don't have the DLL for D805
Ps: tried to extract DLL from KDZ file but i receive:
CrossDL [D802] to [D805] error in LG Flash Tools
ioroot25 can root stock kitkat and you can get twrp recovery with autorec

Hello cmanju88, this is the method I use to move from KK to JB, the ROM KDZ the LG Server Disclaimer, the TOT from the link I put above.
To Flash ROM version will vary depending on the phone model, for example
G2 - D80x
V10x = JB
V20x = KK

Yes of course. Everything is fine and it does the first steps but it fails at writing the nand. Does anyone have a PIT file? Maybe that way it can be fixed. I think the pit is wrong and Odin addresses a wrong area of the nand memory.

Damn, i have the same issue, after flashing the TWRP recovery image with Flashify, my phone is stuck at the splash screen "Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge", i tried to flash the root file with the stock recovery (the 920f one), and my phone doesn't boot... So i also tried to flash a stock firmware through Odin and i have the nand fail error ! Hope that we'll have a solution quickly.
Maybe there is a way to read the nand structure of 920x. That might help solving the problem.

It's the demo version for the Edge or for the normal S6 ?
You need to flash the right firmware for the right version through Odin.
do you guys tried odin the stock recovery 1st?

Ok for what its worth it:
the follwoing files can write the nand:
CF-Auto-Root-zeroflte-zerofltexx-smg920f.tar.md5
twrp-2.8.6.0-zerofltespr.img.tar
But the phone doesnt go into recovery, eventhough the setup processes is successful.
The following files however, can not write to nand and fail:
G920FXXU1AOD9_G920FOXA1AOD9_G920FXXU1AOD9_HOME.tar.md5
G920F-XXU1AOD9-BOOTLOADER.tar.md5
Maybe it helps a little.
But the phone cannot boot anything but the download mode.

now does those files compatible with your phone? I know u said you have galaxy the 920x (the demo version) but I really can't tell you does those files work with your phone or not, may be not that's why your phone is soft brick right now.
Maybe but the first file I flashed and which made the phone stuck at the logo was the root file. I tried the other files to solve the problems. But still usually it should let me flash a original file from Samsung servers but it doesn't. Nand write error.

have you solved it ...?? facing same problem
I have the same with my G925F, used the howto-flash-g92xf-and my phone doesn't boot only the splash screen
download kies 3 and then plug your device in, go to tools at the top and then firmware upgrade and initialisation, enter sm-g925f in the model number and then when it asks for your serial number then enter it from the back of the phone. (its in really faint writing) then follow the onscreen instructions
sometimes people have select reactivation lock in Samsung account and that block flash

Have the same problem dont know what to do, anyone can solve the problem. I flash the root file with odin it give me an error, then a screen of warning to start the phone with smart switch, try to flash stock fw, and Im here blocked, please help, thanks.
You can try this guys, It worked for me, but the "secret codes" on phone app won't work (doesnt for me). If anyone find a way to solve this, it would be great!!!
