MOTO E ... unrooted ..stock ROM... 4.4.4
hi guys recently my moto e 1st gen. started hanging and automatically got restarted and when it loads, it stops on m logo(in blue circle) i have tried resetting it and ieven tried trobouble shooting options but it didn't work out. i even went to service centre and they told me that the software got crashed and they updated my phone's software. but late night it started hanging again and same happened. now i can only open bootloader and when i try to turn on the phone it stops at m logo.
guys pls tell me what is the problem.
and can i update software by myself as i have seen some posts on xda in which i have to go to bootloader and connect my phone to pc and i have to open some rom folder named "XT1022_Retail_DualSim_51_Stock_Untouched" and have to click some disk image and it will automatically install software
like in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e/development/rom-stock-motorola-lollipop-rom-t3167111
and last thing that my moto e 1st gen. is not rooted
Hello everyone, I have a problem and I hope you all can help me, I have not been able to find a solution for this. So I have a Galaxy S5 running on Lineage OS 14.1 Nougat 7.1 ROM from here http://www.cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/galaxy-s5-lineage-14-1-nougat-7-1-rom/
Galaxy S5 is of the SM9000AZ variant which is Cricket. Now my problem is that, at random times of the day, my phone would reboot when I try to power it off. When I turn my screen off and turn it back on, the phone reboots as well. In order for me to use the phone I would have to keep the phone screen on at all times, when I sleep I always put an alarm and now I have to keep the screen awake when its charging otherwise it'll stay stuck turned off or it reboots when I get a notification.
It wasn't this way before.. I used to be on XtreStoLite which I had no problems. The problems arised when I switched to Resurrection Remix from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...opment/rom-resurrection-remix-n-klte-t3510376, the phone would start this reboot problem every once in a while. The ROM came with an update that lets you go to Nougat and there is when the reboots happened more frequently. I thought maybe the ROM was messed up or something so I switched to LOS but the problem is still there. The reboot problem also happens when I'm in recovery mode, if I'm making a backup and the screen turns off to powersave, the phone reboots.
Anybody have an idea what could be the issue or how to fix it? It's becoming an annoyance but if I have to, I'll go back to XtreStoLite, Marshmallow and Nougat are great but I guess they're not compatible with my phone?
I have a Moto E first gen, i keep getting bootloop, i've already tried lineage and stock rom, the phone works normally but in a day or two apps start to fail and after this when the phone reboots it gets stuck in bootloop, what is weird is that i went back to stock, flash all the motorola stock files with adb and the phone was working i even turn on and off several times and there was no issue, then again today whatsapp was crashing i reboot the phone and now is in bootloop again. Do you think it could be a hardware failure?

Flash stock KitKat or marshmallow ROMs
I'm getting the same problem here... in two or three days after ROM installation it gets stuck in a bootloop... I tried stock rom, lineageOS and Mokee... same thing happens every time.... Now I'm downloading the Official Pixel Experience and going to see what happens. I'll update here after a couple of days.

So, it's been two days since I installed Official pixel experience and the ROM is great! But the problem persists...just now my moto e got into a boot animation loop....
Same issue
I am also facing same issue. From 6 months. I am on lineage and also tried Oreo ROMs. I think our device is old now and can't enough to handle nougat , Oreo ROMs.
I am now thinking to bury it in grave yard with respect.
Solved
So people,
I was reading an article on the forum, later I'll put the reference here... but it was about moto e rebooting... and that was a problem tha I was also facing. The explanation was that moto e first gen has a phisical problem on the power button, so the solution to avoid constant rebooting was to activate volume keys to be used to turn on the screen and activate the option to double tap the home button to turn off the screen. I did it and the rebooting problem was solved and it's been six days and I got no bootloop this time. I don't know how to explain but I think that the power button problem was related with the phone getting into the bootloop...
It's not about power button

We are already using volume button/ double tap for power on/off but lineage ROM causes this issue at anytime.

I forgot to mention. I flashed stock rom via ADB Fastboot, reflashed twrp, and after that I flashed LineageOS14.1 and gapps via twrp, maybe this was the real issue. It's ok now. Today I'm instaling aosp extended to see how it works, and I'm going to flash the stock rom again before doind that
