If you are, can you tell us the steps you used? I'm on a unlocked, carrier unlocked and TWRP'd consumer wireless, and am getting a fail when I try to go from my stock 148 version to B306....
Thanks,

From what I have read you will have to ask on the huawei private forums.
The beta test is not for CC. It is clearly stated in the FAQ in our private forum. In addition, there are a few posts asking the same question, and replies, that it won't work. So, no surprise it still doesn't work. I am only posting this reply for anyone else that sees your thread.
That said, I am confident that there will be a work around and the ability to install Lollipop on the CC, once the public version is released. Similar to how it was updated before.
Not sure what you mean by consumer wireless. I had a consumer cellular version which is customized for consumer cellular. Maybe consumer wireless uses the stock make 2. So many variants makes it harder to say yes or no simply.

I'm pretty sure he meant Consumer Cellular wireless. There's no such thing as Consumer Wireless.
Figured. But there are a lot of international companies I don't know. Globally I don't even try to know all of them. Lol ah well least he got his answer.

Since Skype updated to version 4 on Android, the DNA is no longer being supported and you cannot download the new version. Here is what the Skype representative had to say:
Thank you for your reply.
We appreciate you taking time to provide the additional information that we have requested so that we can investigate further on why you are unable to download and install Skype on your device.
We have reviewed our resources and asked our specialized team and we are sorry to inform you that unfortunately, your device is currently not supported by Skype.
We are continuously working hard to create Skype versions that support new/other devices. However creating new versions take time and may not be available in the near future. As soon as a new version is released it will be posted on our website.
We ask for your patience and understanding.

Yeah, I know it's not supported. The question is why? It's a current phone with very decent specs even now that it is around 7 months old. Are you really gonna tell me that a phone such as the DNA is not supported? What's wrong? It was supported just fine before this ****ty update you decided to put out. But seriously, even if you decide not to officially support it, why not allow the option for us to still download it? I'm sure the DNA can handle it..
Very disappointed in Microsoft.. I await your reply.

Hello XXXX,
We understand that you'd like to know why your device is not supported by Skype.
To clarify, the new 4.0 version of Skype is compatible with Android phones only. As we can see, the HTC Android DNA has the specifications of a "phablet". This means that it is a phone but has the size of a small "tablet" device.
Although most Android phones are supported by the new version of the Skype application, some are left incompatible due to the size, resolution and specification designs of the application. For this, we apologize for we are unable to provide a specific reason why it is not yet supported but we assure you that we are working on developing a version that would work with your device in the future.
We hope that we have given you an idea and we thank you for your time.

I was actually fairly good at my job and explained things to the best of my ability. But the moment you cussed at me, I would probably tell you to speak/act like a damn adult. If you want ro be respected, you have to give it as well. That person could have easily told you to piss off for being a whiny kid. Obviously that rep didn't know why it wasn't supported, you made yourself look like a big baby with your language and use of caps lock. You could have easily asked to be transferred to someone who may know, such as his/her manager or supervisor. Not everyone is as tech savvy as the people on this forum, cut them a damn break.

This is to confirm Sony will be pushing out an update to protect their Z series phones first from this Stagefreight problem that involves hacking our Androids with simply MMS. The issue is for us is that we still haven't had Lollipop to our phones for this long. Will this patch update may even take Verizon to do a hell a lot longer before they could even give us our deserved update? Because this is a serious issue that must be addressed.
I've also attached a screenshot from the analysis app for my Z3v, and we're definitely vulnerable...

Not only stagefright but now certifi-gate, and certifi-gate you need to update the whole OS to fix it, so maybe we will finally get Lollipop, but wouldn't hold your breath.
I feel like a duck sitting on a pond surrounded by hunters, being a sitting duck I don't like.
SO LETS SEE HOW VZW PROTECTS THEIR NETWORK NOW!
Will VZW patch or will VZW not?
The quick fix solutions I have found so far in credits to Android Authority is to either download Textra for your messaging app, or disable auto downloading of MMS attachments on your messaging app.
To do that on our phones, go to stock Messaging app, Settings, then scroll down to uncheck Auto MMS Retrieval.

Good tip, did that yesterday to mine and my wife's phone after reading the exploit news.
Be careful, any MMS can have the exploit attached.
Forgot to add, I disabled "Hangouts" too, I think it is affected too.
I was on my phone and went to xda news and saw the pushbullet article. I click on comments and get a redirection with a mess of ads and a android message talking about being infected....wth xda!!!

So as far as you are concerned the scare is over. Patches are out everything is fine. At least with your Nexus 6.

"Android-based mobile devices are under threat from yet another major security vulnerability and this time a simple download patch won’t fix it. I have posted letters from ZTE.com.cn (ZTE China) that they do not unlock bootloaders and would not be unlocking the bootloader for the Axon 7, ZTE USA messaged me and stated that ZTE China does not speak for them and that ZTE USA was planning a big anouncement, once again dancing around the issue of unlocking the bootloader. After that response I posed the question, if they unlock the USA's bootloaders, what about the UK, EU,India or China and the rest of the world, since ZTE USA does not speak for them. I was then referred to their manager who wrote me yesterday repeating the same line. Here is his letter to me.
Dear Mr _____,
We thank you again for your purchase of the Axon 7 by ZTE. This is a follow up email to clarify misinformation you received yesterday regarding the unlocking of the Bootloader. Plans are in place to enable this function in the very near future. More information can be found at https://community.zteusa.com/welcome. We greatly apologize for the misinformation and any confusion it caused. We thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Unlocking the bootloader is something that must be addressed by the parent company and have a unified response globally. ZTE USA does not deal with global issues, only local ones pertinent to their region. But they keep stringing us along with this big announcement. Is this to prevent people from returning their devices? Are we being played? Sure sounds like it.

It'll be nice once the first person does it and posts back as to what the process actually is.
Here's hoping this leads to some development on the Axon 7. Maybe we can skip the whole unlocked bootloader thing with an exploit of some kind and go straight to TWRP and root

Hey everyone! Anyway to flash my mate 10 pro with USA software without having to pay so much money? Thanks!
This thread details a flashing/re-branding process which you can perform without paying. Note that I haven't even read through the thread, let alone done anything mentioned in it, so don't treat this as an endorsement - perform your own due diligence and decide if it's the path you want to take before embarking on it.
If you decide to follow this path, the correct region code for the USA appears to be C567 according to this thread. Good luck!

Politicians: just like cockroaches, only more disgusting and less useful.
