Help, no longer able to flash system nvidia shield tv - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, well I think I have all but fubarred my 16gb shield tv. I unlocked bootloader, installed twrp and rooted, all was working fine. Then I decided to flash the full android rom that is on the forum . before doing so, i used twrp and made a backup. I installed the full android rom, although it seemed to work fine, i was not crazy about it and decided to go back to the original OS, so I booted up in twrp and went to the restore function, there were no backups to restore , I guess when I installed the system img for the full android it erased my backup somehow. anyway, moving right along, I next went to nvidia website and downloaded the restore image for the 16gb shield tv, i booted in to bootloader and was following the instructions to restore the shield. all seems to go fine until I try to flash the system img, then I get the error "invalid sparse file format at unknown block 0000" it tries to continue but fails, afterwards the system will not boot at all, I can get back to twrp recovery an flash the full android rom just fine, but am not able to flash back the original os without that error. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I am stuck at this point as what to attempt next. thanks

here is a pic of the errors i get, any help appreciated

[Q] Can't mount partitions

Hey guys,
I got a TF201 tablet.
I was trying to install the crombi-KK rom on it.
After several hours of trying and failing I found out that I had to install TWRP 2.8, but to do so, I needed to run the hairy bean boot loader.
When I figured that out, I shut down the device, and then nvflashed it back to the stock FW.
When the flash finished, the tabled was no longer booting (weird because I have never seen it failing after nvflashing the stock firmware).
After nvflashing it, the bootloader when back to ICS. I installed flashed TWRP using fastboot, when I started the recovery image I got a message asking for the password for data. After doing some research on that I figured that I needed to format the data partition for it to boot again.
Once that was done, the device boot OK to the stock ROM. I tried upgrading back to JB using the asus upgrade procedure and the tablet rebooted back to ICS.
I tried to install the stock JB firmware using twrp, it says it completes OK but when I reboot the tablet it goes back to ICS.
I then flashed several other recovery images, every time I start the tablet in recovery I get a message saying that it cannot mount the /cache partition and others.
If I try to flash any ROM using any recovery sometimes it says it worked but the tablet boots back to ICS, some other times and says it failed and goes back to ICS.
I used to have a BAT that helped me formatting the partitions and then to flash blobs one by one, but I deleted it because I thought I was never going to need it anymore.
I was wondering if what partitions does this tablet has (EX: recovery, boot, app, etc).
Is there any toolkit that formats the partitions and flashes then using stock JB images extracted from the blob files?

Red Honor Bootlogo & Marshmallow Update Questions

Hello there I have a couple questions regarding to the red honor boot logo and also on how to update from a stock rom with TWRP and root ( also a couple of system modifications ) to the new B331 update.
So heres the rundown, when I first got my honor 5x I did not spend too much time on the stock rom I went ahead and rooted my phone and installed TWRP then made a backup of my stock rom (B151) no modifications other than SuperSU being installed. After that I went ahead and installed CM13 nightlies and updated mostly everyday up until the build July-18-16. I had adoptable storage enabled with my 32GB SD card and I totally forgot to disable the adoptable option before I reverted to my stock backup so when I went onto TWRP and tried to restore my backup I always got an error where it said something along the lines " error; could not find system" but instead of it backing out it continued to restore and bricked my phone. I had a somewhat clever idea to flash any build of CM13 I had on my computer and guess what it booted then I disabled the adoptable storage and booted back onto TWRP restored my backup and everything was fine until it booted and I noticed the honor boot logo had a red "h". I found that weird since I have restored my backup previously and that never happened. Anyone knows what it could mean and how to fix it?
My second question is how should I go about updating to B331? Should I download the stock recovery B151 ( since that is what shipped with my phone and is what my backup is) then revert to my near stock backup, flash stock recovery and unroot then update through cslA's B331 instructions? Or should I somehow fix the red honor boot logo then go ahead with what I stated above or is this all done differently? I am not a newbie at these kind of things I just moved onto more important things in life and simply want to update my phone. My needs for flashing new roms daily are over and I just simply like huawei's UI as it just "works" for me. Thanks to anyone who responds anything is appreciated as I can't seem to get my old skills working again. Haha:laugh:
Fibgerprint aint working right? U cant go back to stock with just a normal twrp backup. Install an update.app through dload for your region and then apply the twrp backup.. Make sure you are on B151 Recovery!

No, my fingerprint is working... I just wanted to go back to stock ROM with root and that's what I got just now I have a red honor bootlogo. Now I want to update to marshmallow but I have a fear that even if I follow the steps onto reverting to stock I may brick it because of the red bootlogo.
So what you are saying is I should download my B151 recovery and firmware to revert to stock then update and from there I should root and install TWRP?

EKB311b(RK3188) tv box desperate cant backup cant factory reset

Ok I got a EKB311 box its a RK3188. I wanted to install a newer Custom rom so I began by trying to backup. I managed to install CWM for RK3188 generic with arctools. CWM booted fine but when I go to make a backup I get an error saying cant mount backup path. so I tried backup to external SDcard it says Error while backing up boot image. I then decided maybe I could do a factory reset to fix this but it wont do a factory reset in CWM or in Android. Im not to familiar with the different CWMs

Help getting Ramos MOS1 Max to boot again

Hello, I need a little advice on getting my phone working again. I got a new Ramos MOS1 Max today and rooted it via Kingo PC software. I checked to make sure it was rooted using RootChecker and it said it was rooted. I was reading up on what to do next and some sites said the next thing you must do is to make a backup of your phone via TWRP. I installed the software and then attempted to use the "reboot and create backup" functionality. The phone rebooted and I was in the Android system recovery menu. I didn't see anything like what TWRP was supposed to show, so I just rebooted via the standard recovery screen method. Now when I try to start the phone, it gives me a logo, then ARMPHONE and it hangs on that.
I've tried wiping my cache partition via recovery menu and rebooting, but no dice. Next they suggested to do a wipe data/factory reset, and since I just received the phone today, I decided to try that. After doing that via system recovery menu it still wouldn't boot past the ARMPHONE screen. I don't have a lot of experience with rooting and modifying Android devices, is there something I can do to fix this? I've installed the android SDK tools for my version of android (5.1 I believe), but I don't know how to proceed. Is there a stock image I can use for this phone, or can I just use a vanilla android image?
Thanks in advance.

Android operating system gone

So i kind of messed up. I was playing around in the system folder (/system) and now my phone didnt boot. So i went into TWRP recovery and tried resetting/formatting. Didnt work. I then unknowingly wiped the system folder using TWRP and now my phone wont boot at all (bootloop). So im in the need of installing android 10 again. I cant find anything online of how to do it. My phone is (or was) rooted. It has TWRP recovery installed and the bootloader is unlocked.
Any help will be appreciated.
The tool to use in order to re-flash a phone's Stock ROM depends on phone's brand & model & chipset. Hence provide that info if you want to get helped.
