Hi. I have a little problem.
I have a ZTE Z5 Mini, and model NX402.
The thing is, stock 4.2.2 sucks, and some user in another forum managed to do quite a good rom based on 4.4.3 and further updated to 4.4.4, but for some reason if I try to install (from stock 4.2.2) another rom, I (and every owner of this phone) end without signal, to recover signal we must install the rom provided by the user, somehow forcing us to use his rom.
Is there any way to "extract" the those files and install them on another rom (like MIUI) to have signal on another roms?

*sigh* You realize when you say "I downloaded this..." without providing what "this" is is pretty useless for us to help you troubleshoot?
What update WERE you on before you started modifying the phone?
What did you download and install?
What modem / baseband version is installed?
Wifi and phone functions are most likely not working because you either downloaded the wrong thing or didn't follow the installation instructions correctly. Typically this would be because of mismatched modem and kernel or there's a patch that needs to be installed.
Usually I would just say install the newest stock firmware (4.4.2) through Odin, but depending on what update the phone had originally and if you plan on continuing to customize your phone, it might be better to stick on an older system as the newer ones really lock down the ATT version.
Long story short: Help us help you. Provide ALL the details about what's going on and we can probably get you fixed up easily enough.
Sry
I337MVLUFNC1_880525_REV06_user_low_ship_MULTI i installed this rom , i was on kit kat 4.4.2. and i installed gummy rom which did not work , then realized i lost the @#$#@% backup here is what it says under about device: model sgh1337m

Hi All, i need help in selecting a custom rom for RECONNECT tablet, attached is the screenshot about the tablet. I like carbon rom will it be compatible with this tablet?
Recently on the advise of reliance store personal, that this tab is better in performance or equal to Samsung and Apple iPad, I purchased the same.
As usual I rooted the phone without much efforts' as it has 4.2.2 VERSION OF THE ROM.
then Used MTK droid tool to get shell root and obtained / installed CWM RECOVERY
I compiled the custom ROM and using it for the past one week.
When I googled I could not find any custom ROM.
As today I do not have a good WiFi network to port the custom ROM please wait for a day.
BE CAREFUL. YOU BACK UP YOUR ORIGINAL ROM. USER DATA AND IMEI NUMBER.
Backing up IMEI is very important. Retrieval is difficult. Or you use dial pace and type *#06# You will get the number and it will be useful.
I shall port the simple custom ROM based on the stock ROM positively by tomorrow.

Reconnect rptpe0801 tab stock rom needed urgently
Hi i urgently need stock rom for reliance reconnect 0801 tab. I rooted my tab. Couldnt get proper recovery and somehow my sim is not working.
Could u help pls?
Hi,
I want a Reconnect RPTPE0801 Battery.
I own an international version of the General Mobile Discovery, which has a vast array of ROM's to choose from. Mine is a version sold in Portugal, which works with all of GMD's 4.2.x ROM's, but not with all 4.4's, throwing an error when I insert the PIN code for the SIM. I have only found two 4.4 ROM's that worked, this seems to have something to do with the baseband.
Now, if these two ROMs work, I should be able to make other (and better) 4.4 ones for the GMD work, and my question is, what files from each ROM could I replace so the baseband (maybe?) matches and I will be able to use the phone normally, without the Telephony service crashing as soon as I confirm my PIN code? Flashing another baseband is not a solution, as this phone was based on the Gionee Elife E3 and then "converted" to a GMD via some flashing, which makes all its ROMs work on it. But if these two 4.4 ROMs work correctly with my SIM card, there should be a way to make the other 4.4's work aswell.
Thanks.
Hi,
my phone (NGM Forward Art) doesn't support Bluetooth Smart because of Android 4.2.2.
I found that it's a clone of Gionee P4 and that stock KitKat ROM is available for it.
So I'd like to flash Gionee P4 KitKat ROM on my phone.
I downloaded the required software. But I need to know if a (possible) different partitions scheme can cause issues during/after the update (e.g. bootloop, ...).
Unfortunately I see no CWM recovery for my phone; so I think a nandroid backup is not possible...
I'll greatly appreciate your help, thank you!
Armando
P.s. I think I'll have just to annotate IMEIs, WiFi and bluetooth MAC addresses to be able to restore them after the update.
I just updated the recovery by using the CWM recovery image available for Gionee phone.
So now I'm able to make a nandroidbackup. So I'm going to make a full backup before trying to flash the Gionee ROM...
OK, the update went fine.
Hi, i have the same problem.
I want to upgrade my Ngm Art from Android 4.2 to 4.4 (or more). Could you help me?
I didn't understand some passages.
I'd like to know if you followed a tutorial and from where you downloaded the files (if it is possible with link) because I found some tutorials but I'm not sure that they work (I found rom until Android 5.1).
Thanks.
ps: are you italian?

I did it!
I installed Android 5.1 but i have problem with GPS.
The gps does not find any satellites, you've had the same problem?
You know how I can fix it?
I'm thinking of to do a reset or change rom.
Help me.
Hi Zano_22,
to have no BT and GPS issues I'd suggest to stay with PussyCat ROM (Lollipop based) or Kitkat 4.4.4 by NFS GHOST.
Anyway a few days ago a new ROM has been made available: CyanogenMod 13 For GIONEE P4/ WALTON GH2/QMOBILE I6. It's Marshmallow based and according to the description both GPS and Bluetooth work flawlessly. The only bug is related to 2G/3G switch (and VPN that I don't bother about...).
Maybe it's worth trying it. I tested many ROMs but... If you find it working as expected I also could switch from PussyCat to CyanogenMod 13...
Ciao!
Armando
I just realized that BT doesn't work as expected on PussyCat ROM.
So I switched back to Kitkat 4.4.4 by NFS GHOST: I think it's the best ROM currently available for Gionee P4 and clones...
I hope it helps.
How to give a "second life" to my old galaxy s2 ? wipe, kernels, roms, repartition ?
So i have my old galaxy s2, and i want to completly wipe everything and make it better.
There are a lot of tutorials, but im really confussed. For example there are roms that require android 4.4 or sth like that. I just want to do a fresh install. I also don't get what's going on with kernels.
Right now it runs old android 2.3.3 gingerbread and it's really slow.
I want:
- Some stable, battery friendly android lollipop rom, with all functions working (like usb internet tethering, wifi tethering, camera and so on).
- Only one partition like in new phones (like in galaxy s5)
- kernel ?
- root
- custom recovery
Can anyone give me some step by step instructions, what should i do first ? I would also appreciate if you could send me links to appropriate tutorials.
4.4.4 any custom without GApps then microG it.. with MOAB and Fdroid. All can be found in the forum.. Cheers.

I assume it's on non-rooted stock ROM (android operating system). Backup all data you don't want to loose, format the external SD card (the one you can take out) if you have one (not required, but a good idea to start from scratch) from settings, then do a factory reset from settings.
Then connect the phone to Samsung Kies (download from samsung.com) and update the phone to the latest stock ROM (See which in your country here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-I9100/)
Let me know if you succeed in doing so.
I just installed stock Android 4.1.2 ROM, it's not rooted right now.
Android: 4.1.2
Modem, Baseband version: I9100XXMS2
Kernel: 3.0.31 - 1155032
Build number: JZO54K.I9100XXMS7
What to do next ? I want some good lollipop rom (or kitkat if it's faster), custom recovery and root.
@edit:
Ok, i managed to repartition my device memory and i flashed CyanogenMod 11 (m12) with cwm recovery (compatible with kitkat).
